This isn’t my first time coming here, but I never get disappointed when I visit this place… the food flavor is great… we always ask for a shrimp and calamari linguine in a red sauce and our exquisite pizza… the price is reasonable are you in the mood for wine… their wine menu is variable! … parking is free for the first 2 hrs and after having a great dinner, you can go for a walk to the L.B. marina

I had a really nice experience in this restaurant. The employees there a very accommodating, polite, and knowledgeable. I came to this restaurant on a Sunday with my girlfriend and it took us(my gf) a while to order since we couldn’t make up our minds on what to eat l, so we got some help from the waiter and problem solved. After dinner I paid the bill and left, forgetting my cell phone on the table and just as I was about to get into my car a young lady who works there brought me my cell. It’s nice to know that there is still great people like her. Thank you very much for your honesty and for all the trouble you saved me.

Had meat lovers type Pizza which was ok, it got a bit soggy after sitting for 15min while we were eating it. I want to try something else next time I go here. They have a nice big menu. The restaurant smelled so good like fresh Italian food. The atmosphere was clean and cozy. Will be back.

This time, the service for delivery was perfect, and my linguini with clams and shrimp was divine.

Very nice service but the food needs sooooo much work. The«chicken parm» is a giant chicken nugget with the weirdest red sauce. My reviews are all based on having lived in NJ and eaten Italian food in NY so I just can’t understand how this passes. It is ok, if you order the pie with think crust well done, otherwise it tastes like a big poofy dominoes nightmare. They make their calzone without ricotta! So it’s a giant mozzarella stick basically, just bread with a tablespoon of mozz in it… My husband likes the chicken Alfredo, a tuff one to screw up. So don’t expect too much and you’ll be happy. But to call it authentic is comical.

Super Yummy Pizza! It’s not your ordinary greasy fast food pizza. My hubby’s cousin introduced us to this place and boy I’m I glad he did. He ordered both large mushroom and pepperoni pizza very delightful. Look forward to coming back with our kiddos.

Tonight was my first pizza at Buonos. I have heard the name for years and now I know why. Our city has few great pizzerias. The pizza I ordered had 3 great elements. He crust was fantastic, home tossed and a little thicker than your average Round Table. The sauce was fresh and had a tangy kick. The toppings were generous and well portioned. I added a side of meatballs and Mozzarella for good measure and they were fantastic. For Long Beach it was a delicious pizza with other great food to pair with it. Big win for the family tonight.

Love this place been going here since 2009. They have a really good pasta and salad bar as well as menu. They show a few games if you are a sports fan but it’s just enough to catch what going on. Not at all a sports bar FYI.

Great food, great environment. Lunch time is great, especially if you’re a City of Long Beach employee(you get a discount if you pay cash)! Also, the calzones are STILL as big as my head!

Stopped by last night after checking in to my «under construction» hotel. The pizza was good(a little heavy on the cheese for me) & the breadsticks were tasty. I left with ½ pizza & bread sticks in a box for today’s lunch. Staff were friendly & service was pretty quick but it was a slow Monday night.

I have to say I was really disappointed in the food. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere but the food was overpriced and the quality was meh. I ordered a personal pizza with onions and the onions were in chunks and not thinly sliced. They brag about how good the pizza is but I know good pizza and that is not it. The salad bar was fresh but had limited ingredients. My friend ordered the lasagna and she wasn’t impressed either. I usually only give great reviews at restaurants but this was so disappointing I had to write about it. I will not be coming back.

3.5STARS. Came here for restaurant week because they had a really good deal compared to other businesses in the area(would have liked to try them all, but was low on dough at the moment). They brought us free bruschetta which was very good. Shared the stuffed eggplant rolls(never had anything like this before) — I love goat cheese, so these were awesome. We both got 2 different pizzas. Mine had eggplant, prosciutto and I added red sauce. My boyfriend got prosciutto, arugula and red sauce. They were both fresh, really good in my opinion. They don’t have them on the permanent menu since they were trying these new ones out? We got the nutella calzone for dessert… I am not a sweets person but DANG was it delish! And huge! We definitely took leftovers home and enjoyed it hmmm maybe an hour later hah It’s very casual here. Most people were by themselves who were grabbing a quick bite or picking up takeout. Kinda quiet. Choose your own seating. Everyone working there was super nice and attentive. There was also a buffet type option that we found out about later which pastas, pizza, salad. Came out fresh so it looked inviting. Rating is for overall atmosphere which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. We just wanted to have dinner somewhere new, maybe a little more formal and lively. I just assumed since it was an Italian restaurant it might’ve been that way. But I would eat here again for sure.

This was my first time experiencing Long Beach Restaurant Week. We decided to go for a bang for your buck type of deal; Buono’s is offering a $ 30(total price) dinner for two, which consists of a shared appetizer, two entrees, and a shared dessert. This sounded pretty good so we were happy to try it instead of the more expensive options out there. I won’t allow this experience to make me believe that all good deals are going to be disappointing – but this one certainly was a big let down. Service was exemplary throughout the night. Alyssa was great and professional. Drinks were refilled, and requests were handled in a timely manner. Various other staff helped us as well. Service was 5 stars.(This helped to prevent a one star rating). One strange thing that occurred was regarding the Long Beach restaurant week promotion. When we asked Alyssa about it, she said she had never seen it before, and had to go ask about it. This is more a poor reflection on the management, not our server. Management should have prepared the staff in advance to be ready for Long Beach restaurant week. The reason for the two star rating is the food and drink. My wife got the wine sampler for $ 7.95 – four different wines, two reds and two whites. The four wines were: –Chianti –Cabernet –Pinot Grigio –Chardonnay They didn’t have a good wine selection and most weren’t that good. The Pinot was the best one, and it wasn’t even that good. It wasn’t crisp like a Pinot should be. I’m not much of a wine drinker, but my wife(who loves wine) shared the same sentiment. She didn’t even finish one of them, and that never happens. Shared appetizer: –Eggplant rolls — 2⁄5. I was expecting a crispy, flavorful delight. Not the case – this was bland and mushy. –complimentary Bruschetta — 5⁄5 — crunchy bread, nice acidic tomatoes. This was the best item of the night. They also gave us some standard garlic bread, which was average. Two entrees: 1⁄5 Buono’s Pizza Napoletana #3 Donna Teresa: «fresh mozzarella, sautéed rapini stalks, spicy italian sausage, evoo(olive oil), topped with parmiggiano» — Nothing about this pizza tasted good. It lacked even the slightest hint of flavor. It looked pretty, but was completely bland. I added table salt. 1⁄5 Lasagna — had the correct layered texture, but was bland. We had to add salt to this as well. Both entrees were flavorless. Dessert: Nutella calzone — 3⁄5 this was okay. Hard to mess up putting Nutella inside a calzone. So, we got some good bruschetta, and that’s about it. I got a very upset stomach when we returned home from the meal. This lasted for two hours. My wife also did not feel well, and together we elected to discard the leftovers. This was a disappointing adventure. I try to support my hood(LBC), but this is one place I simply cannot recommend.

Our company holiday party was held here, and Buono’s filled us right up. It also managed our 25 person crowd with no problems at all. Despite their name, I felt they did massively better with the pasta than with the pizza, which was so unmemorable I can’t even remember what kind it was. The pasta, on the other hand, was bright and colorful and varied. The pink sauced, pillowy gnocchi evoked way more flavors than simple sauce covered pillows by all rights should, and the chicken bowties tasted like a springtime garden. All this even though they were marinating in catering bins for what was probably at least an hour.
