They have vegetarian options so def a good place. Only local place that offers potato burritos that aren’t fries thrown in a burrito. The people are nice and the food is good. Also, quite cheap!

The chorizo burritos are the best in Long Beach. I love working near here so I can grab breakfast when I’m in need. The price is great, can’t beat it.

Their flour tortillas are so good, making their burritos different from other local Mexican restaurants. I grew up eating their menudo it’s really good. Definitely the place to go for menudo.

Excellent burritos and the chile relleno burrito is the best one of all. Good service and good food! There tacos are also awesome and authentic. And there carnitas tostada was surprisingly big. My family and I been coming here for over 10 years and this little joint never fails, looks can be deceiving from the outside but the food is guarantee good. And when your hungover the menudo hits the spot.

Every saturday my dad goes with his pot and ask for 30 dollars of menudo. There menudo is bomb. Its one of the best. They give you warm tostadas and chile and onion. They have some good food if you dont like menudo.

Good food people are friendly staff. Need security in front of restaurant! It be a better place. Hire a security guard. It goes a long way. But good food. Reminds me of cucas in redlands.

Me and my fiancé always stop by here on the weekend. Really good food, the best horchata I’ve tasted in long beach from a fast food place. Close to my house, fast service. I recommend trying it out

For the two years that I have lived in Long Beach I’ve come here to eat many times my buddy introduced me to this place and it is awesome they have good food small hole in the wall and I eat here all the time. It’s around the corner from my house and it’s never always busy they prepare the food fresh and fast. I’ve never had any complaints and I’ve eaten a lot of the food it is an outside dining as well. I’m going to be moving soon and I’m going to miss this place but if im ever in the area this is definitely a stop that I’ll make.

My boyfriend and I always get their nachos! We’re both kind of bummed that the asada nachos went up in price, so we stick to the carnitas ones! But, today I tried the chicken nachos with extra onions, cilantro and tomatoes and after the first bite I knew that they were my new favorite! The chicken is very juicy and nicely seasoned! I will definitely be getting those ones from now on. I’ve also tried the Jamaica and it’s very good. I haven’t tried anything else, but I’ve never had a problem with the food I do get. I do feel that the customer service could be a little better(PUT A SMILEON!) and so for that, I give Chemas Place a 4 stars.

They have really good carne asada burritos. I’ve been here several times and they have good horchata. It’s homemade but sometimes is watery. I tried the pork burrito and it wasn’t bad either. The food always seems fresh.

A nice little spot in the corner of 10th St. right next to a mechanic shop. Nothing fancy here very small building there is no dining there’s only a patio outside, this place has been around for many many many years and it’s family owned. Don’t expect anything miraculous here it’s just a basic stand-up taco joint. The food is pretty tasty, I was surprised by the authenticity of their tacos they where yummy, also the burritos are fat and nicely portioned and you can have them wet style, drenched in salsa and cheese if requested. The Menudo is off the hook, excellent broth tons of meat, but I am disappointed that they don’t serve tortas!

Best menudo ever! Worth the wait and bomb for a hangover. Parking can be tough at times. Make sure to take a pot, it’s easier to carry.

I Love This Place!!! I grew up in Long Beach but live in Corona now. I enjoy the tacos and burritos at Chema’s Place so much i will drive there every chance I get. This place is a landmark in Long Beach, and everyone loves it. I have been eat here for probably 30+ years and it’s always the same… Great!!! Chema“s Place is a family owned and operated restaurant/takeout Mexican food place. They are extremely friendly and seem to know and remember everyone in town. Like all the best Mexican food places Chema’s is located in a working class Hispanic area. In down town Long Beach on the Corner of 10th and Alamitos, in a little building that looks like it could have very possibly been the first Taco Bell. I only wish Chema“s would grow and expand to more locations. Maybe in Corona…

This place is digusting and if I could give them negative stars I would. Yes, I’ve had the food there and it’s good, my co-worker introduced me to the place. He used to bring me the carnitas burrito. So one day I decided to go buy it myself and what a disappointment. I ordered my burrito. The girl at the counter took my order, took my money, gave me my change, turned around stuck her hands under the fountain drink water option, dripped some water onto her hands and wiped them on a dirty rag by the front window ANDTOMYHORRORPROCEEDEDTOPREPAREMYBURRITO!!! Don’t think I stood there and said nothing. I said to her, «Hey you didn’t wash your hands!» She had the nerve to tell me that the little sprinkles from the fountain drink on her hands was her method of washing her hands. I started to argue about how unsanitary that«hand-washing method» was when she started going all ghetto on me. NEVERAGAINGOINGTOTHISPLACE. I’ll stick with places that are less ghetto, less dirty and most important of all, less rude. I seriously thought that girl was gonna climb out that little window and kick my @$$. I’ll stick with El Torazo 99cents tacos on 10th St and the wet burritos from Taqueria La Mexicana on 4th.

Looking for fast food that actually has flavor… go to Chema’s Place on the corner of 10th and Alamitos. This is strictly a to go place but do try their chile verde burrito. Also, try their breakfast burritos and the prices are very resonable too. The same family has owned it for over 34 yrs and everyone is really friendly. This is the place all of the locals go to for menudo but if you like homany in it don’t forget to ask or else they won’t put any inside of your menudo.

Located in a slightly unsavory part of town, but okay, especially during the day. Very fine chile verde, and you can get the dinner plate to go with pretty rad beans and rice. There are a few tables outside, but I’ve never actually waited around to eat here. This has been the Christmas Day fare of my husband’s family for years, and I look forward to it with glee. You can totally get fixin’s for a family or group if you order ahead.
