One of the largest curves I’ve been to. Very clean. very friendly staff. Marie G (owner} is awesome! Always fun to be around.

Love going to this Curves location! I was an avid fitness enthusiast a few years ago, then I sprained my back and couldn’t do high impact aerobics any more, guess that gives a way my age. lol When I went to local fitness clubs I was put off by the parking, crowdedness and trying to arrange to get there at a certain time for a certain classes.
At Curves you can walk in anytime they are open and start your own class! Much more convenient. And parking is not a problem at this location. I enjoy doing the circuit, it has been keeping me limber and toning up my muscles. The Jillian work out is fine with me, I notice I really work up a sweat with it, and that is a good thing.
Owner, Marie Green, is awesome. She is so genuinely good natured, caring and fun to be around. She also worked with me on my membership fees until my Scan kicked in and it paid for the membership for me!

After reading all the excellent Unilocal reviews, I decided to sign up at this Curves today! And boy, were the awesome ratings accurate! I have to say that from the moment you step into this Curves, you feel welcome and encouraged. Marie Green, the owner, was there to greet me with her friendly smile, inspiring story, and energetic sincere personality. All the ladies that were working out were happy to meet me, happy to be there, and very encouraging. It’s such an awesome vibe compared to a meat market gym membership. I’ve had wonderful results in the past with Curves, and I’m excited to get back in the groove and I’m excited that I’m going to this facility in Long Beach.

Although I played sports throughout school I have never liked working out at traditional gyms. That being said, I have tried many gyms and never found one that I would go to with any consistency until I came to Curves. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and workout 5 – 6 days a week.
One of the great things about Curves is that it is a circuit and you NEVER have to wait for a muscle-​bound meat-​head to get off of the machine you want to use. Just like other gyms, you get out what you put into your workout. Yes, the ladies do talk, but you are not forced to join in on their conversations. I usually just listen to their conversations which makes my workout seem to go quicker.
At other gyms I have tried, I have to actively search out an employee to ask a question to and then once I found someone, they were too busy primping/​flirting to acknowledged that I was standing there. At Curves you can find the employees to ask your question. The staff is always encouraging and willing to answer your questions.
With Jillian Michaels now as the spokeswoman for Curves, some changes have been made. There is a 30 minute circuit based video class. For anyone who thinks a 30 minute workout can’t kick your butt, come try this class and tell me what you think.
Most of the other ladies there are older than me, but it’s great that they are getting out and moving. Again, just like any workout, if you don’t workout hard and don’t go with any consistency you will not get results.

I started back to Curves this past December. From the time I walked in the door I felt like I was back where I should be. First off kudo’s to Laura the Curves Coach that was there the night I went in and joined. Laura is a hoot and as genuine as they come. Knowing Laura will be there makes me want to go for my workout. Marie the owner is really a Gem too! I know the first time I went when Marie was there, she didn’t know my name when I walked in, but she made it a point to find out and call me by name before my workout was over. This Curves is very clean and welcoming. You do not feel intimidated when you walk in the door. I’m so happy I decided on Curves as opposed to the other options that are available in the area. Two thumbs up from me.

I have been a member of this Curves since it opened over ten years ago and keep on going because of the sense of community I feel whenever I walk through the door. The owner, Marie Green and her staff are wonderful women. They take the time to learn a little bit about the members and introduce the members to one another. The club is very clean, the workouts are fun and you can work at your own pace.

This Curves is the best in Long beach. Marie green is the most friendliest owner. She and her staff are so gracious and helpful. They make you feel welcome and like family.

I moved to this Curves in March of 2013 when my other Curves closed. Marie, the owner and her staff made me feel welcome from the first day. Everyone is friendly and enthusiastic about working hard on whatever goal you might have. The surroundings are very upbeat and pleasant.

Curves is NOT for people who are serious about working out. It is a social club for those who want to think they are working out but are encouraged by their staff to socialize. I cancelled my membership and it cost me to get out of it. What is most annoying is that they know they have a problem and would not make it right. Bring your coffee and read up on the town gossip before you go.

Did my 1^st workout today using my Groupon for 5 drop-​in sessions. Great facility, but most of all, great staff! Nancy and Lauren are awesome and very supportive. Every member I met was very welcoming and friendly. VERY different from the average gym. I will definitely be back for my other 4 sessions AND will sign up for membership after that!

Great vibe and high energy at this place! Marie (the owner) is a wonderful person with a great positive attitude. You can expect quality service, attention and a very comfortable environment to workout. It’s a pleasure knowing Marie and seeing the service she provides to people on a daily basis. If you’re looking to lose weight, be healthy, or just workout… I highly recommend to give Curves a shot!

This is a Curves for my curves! I’ve been working out here for almost 3 months and along with changing my diet and taking thyroid medication, it’s helped me lose 23 pounds. I hadn’t exercised much for a couple of years because of some health issues, and I had been feeling pretty down about my weight gain. I can’t do anything hardcore because I have a titanium keister (hip replacement), so this has been perfect for me because your workout can be as high or low-​impact as you want. I don’t have to worry about dudes trying to pick up on me like at other gyms and the broads at Curves don’t care what I look like. Marie the owner’s cool and Laura at the desk is a hoot! I like the fact that I don’t have to wait for machines and if I get sick of one of the exercises, well I’m done with the sucker in 30 seconds anyway! I usually go around the circuit three times, which equals 45 minutes. I average working out 4 or 5 times a week. The very few weeks I don’t get that many workout days in, I don’t feel right. I still have my 24-​Hour Fitness membership, but I’m really enjoying going to Curves. It’s cool seeing results and it motivates me to keep the exercise going.

This is a great place to workout! Marie Green the owner has great energy and enthusiasm and you cant help but absorb the wonderful positive attitude while getting in a great workout!

The owner of this Curves, Marie, is awesome. She lost 102 pounds working out at this Curves and then she became the owner. When you talk to her, you can’t help but notice her energy and enthusiasm.
This was my first time at a Curves so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. She showed us each piece of equipment and explained how the circuit works with the stations. It was a surprisingly good workout.
I really liked how there was a table on the wall so when we had to stop and count our heart beats, we didn’t have to do any math — it was right there on the wall. That’s perfect for those of us who can’t add or subtract to save our lives.
Marie also provides some games you can play to challenge yourself as you go around the circuit.
This Curves is also really involved in local events. The members have raised quite a bit of money for local charities. I really liked how Marie puts a lot of effort into giving back to the community.
