Dave Goldberg-Duane Allen Jazz Quartet at The Art Theatre-LB

I had the pleasure of attending this venue last night and I must tell you I was not only impressed but, awed by the stellar talents of these 4 musicians:
Dave Goldberg — Sax
Duane Allen — Guitar
Eric Sittner — Bass
Matty Alger — Drums.
An hour of jazz in the genre of ‘50s’s and ’60’s Be-​Bop, Eclectic styles with many of the compositions written by Dave and Duane, a Gershwin tune of Summertime and many other familiar variations of noted artists’.
So stellar were these performances and solos (as is expected of true jazz musicians) that the quality of [these] performances were right up there with the jazz musicians’ that backed the greats like:

Ella Fitzgerald
Billi Holiday
Closing out the session with the Quartet’s version of [Danny Boy] in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
A perfect ending from a very hectic day in which I kicked back, closed my eyes from time to time and forgot about my troubles, angst and worries as my foot was tapping to the beat of jazz compositions at their best!
