Dr. Pettit and staff are wonderful. I left my other office because I always felt like a patient. At Dr. Pettit“s office I always feel like a VIP, which I so appreciate. Thank you for your great care!

Very thorough exams… I was referred by my sister and glad that I took the chance of going to this office. It’s going on three years of exams and Dr Petit takes his time explaining to you in laments terms and his machines are modern which is a very good thing. I’ve never had a optometrist take a picture of my eyes and break it down to me. I’ve given referrals to him, hope they took the chance like I did. I hope he’s around for a long time.

I love Dr. Pettit! Thank you for always being so very thorough, educational, and caring. It isn’t easy to slowly lose one’s perfect vision as we grow older, but Dr. Pettit makes that transition all the more easier.

If you’re into getting great care/​service and emergency appointments when needed… then this is who you need to be calling.
I’ve been a blindie for many years now, and for those of you in team blind, you know the struggles of having your glasses break, and needing an emergency pair.
Or in my case, being on your last pair of contacts and having to go in bc you lost one/​tore one of them, OR having a cornea abrasion and fearing you’ll never see again and wear an eye patch for life.. (I go from 1 to 100 quick)
Anyhow, Dr. Pettit has helped me out in those two stressful moments. I can see and I don’t have to wear an eye patch !!!
Customer service: front desk girls are kind, very helpful.
Dr. P is very informative. He walks you through what he is doing. Educates you about your current eye status in detail and in a way that is easy to understand.
Tasteful jokes that make the visit cheerful and relaxing.
Such a sweet man.
He’s great with adults, with princesses (me) and I’m sure he is great with children.
Insurance accepted
If it’s for a routine eye exam you can use your vision insurance or pay full price.
If you have eye issues such as what I had (cornea abrasion) you can use PPO health insurance and just pay your deductible.
Inventory:
Good selection of glasses and if they don’t have it they’ll get them!
(I love that the staff doesn’t make you feel pressured to make the purchase from them)

Spacious parking that is shared with other offices.
Office is small, but clean and well organized.

We came to this office because a friend highly recommended Dr. Pettit. We wanted to do gentle molding (orthokeratology) to prevent progression of myopia in our young child. We had a lot of questions about gentle molding since it was our first time. Dr. Pettit was very thorough to explain the procedure and its advantages over regular glasses. He was patient to answer our questions without rushing us out. He is definitely an expert in this area, as he is very knowledgeable, and even wrote an informational book about it!
When we finally decided to start treatment, our 8 year old child was very nervous, but Dr. Pettit was so patient and was able to connect with him. He worked with our son ever so patiently to be able to fit the gas permeable rigid contacts. Now my child wears no glasses since his vision is ²⁰⁄₂₀ with the night time corrective contacts.

I recommend this office to people with bad eyesight. This is a surprise!»

I want to thank Dr. Pettit for always being so welcoming and makes the eye doctor visit fun. My wife and kids come here too and it’s always a great experience. Since 2008, Dr. Pettit has been my go-​to expert and will be for a long time to come. A big part of that is the stellar service of Janice and Bonnie doing all the «lifting» in the office.

Not a good experience. I got an appointment fast and he takes my insurance BUT… the prescription didn’t work for me. I went back and an error in the glass curvature was corrected but the prescription still didn’t work for me.
Glasses take in access of 10 days to get done (compare that with 1 hour wait at Lenscrafters). They were expensive and kept sliding. After 3 repeated visits, they kept sliding. Staff tries to be helpful but they don’t do refunds or exchanges at all. For me its money thrown down the toilet, glasses unusable, not returnable. Avoid!

If you are looking for a very knowledgeable eye Dr., Dr, Pettit is for you! He is so professional. friendly, courteous, informed and very thorough with his exams. He explains things to you so YOU can understand! The staff is very friendly as well!

Dr. Petit is always very thorough and never makes you feel rushed. He takes the time to go over the results of your exam and explain how it relates not only to your vision but to your overall health. He is also patient with answering any questions you may have. I highly recommend him!
