Firestone Complete Auto Care

so disappointed today 3÷8÷16, had made an appointment for and showed up on time 1:00 pm, by 2:40 pm the car had not even been even looked at, still in the parking lot. i have been a firestone customer since 1973. this is my first let down. now their are no firestone in my area.

Left my car to get some work done, and I even had an appointment. I left it around 10am, and I hadn’t received a call and it was close to closing time. I came back around 4:30, only to find out they FORGOT to work on my car. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I’ll find somewhere else.

I went in for a wheel alignment and they also performed a courtesy inspection. They recommended that I get all new shocks and struts — too bad the ones I have are only a year old. Wonder how they came to the conclusion that I needed new ones? You better know your car when you go to this place.

Went to Firestone to get a quote and take advantage of the free break inspection. I made an appointment because they said you had to so I waited a few days in anticipation. I woke up early and brought it over, they said the inspection would take 1.5 hours so seeing i live down the street i left it there. About 3 hours later i still haven’t heard from them so i decide to call them. They checked on it and it was done… they told me i needed a ton of new things including a new battery even though i just had it tested the week before and it was fine… than they said i need new everything, brakes roaters, pads, magic beans. The cost was over a grand so i decided to get a second opinion. End up going to get a second opinion and it is only $ 375… and you can guess who i went with! The $ 375 ended up getting the brakes done within an hour and that includes the inspection — compared to Firestone which nearly took half a day to just inspect my check brakes… hmmm something ain’t right with that. On the bright side Tim the front desk was super nice and was pleasant to chat with.
On that note Promote Tim, he seemed genuine.
I think with the money saved im going to buy a couple hundred tacos.

I had my front brakes replaced (rotors and pads) on September 14^th 2014 for a cost of $ 595.57. Monday of this week (Januray 11^th 2016), I was driving home from work and there was a horrible grinding and squealing noise coming from the front of my truck. Fearing it was a steering or suspension issue (since I had the rotors replaced only 16-​months and 17,000 miles ago), I took the truck directly to a local dealership service department. After inspecting the truck, they told me that I needed new front rotors and pads. One rotor was completely trashed from «metal to metal» wear (shoe was basically gone), and the other rotor also had excessive wear and was in bad shape. So the work Firestone did only lasted 16-​months and 17K miles. Not good. I tried to call Firestone multiple times, but the phone just rang and rang — then changed to a busy tone. Tired of trying, so am going ahead and posting this.
Not sure if this problem was caused by workmanship, or cheap parts — but either way it cost me another $ 612 to fix what they «fixed» 16-​months ago. Expected the repair to last longer than that.

My wife called these clowns and they tried to take advantage of her (over the phone) because she’s a woman. She needed one new tire because she got a flat and didn’t have a spare and they quoted her $ 350 for one new tire. What a joke, we went to Discount Tires and got the new one for $ 125.

I went there on Dec 24 th to do alignment. I had an appointment at 1:30pm. I arrived at 1:25pm and checked in with them. The guy told me it should be ready in 1 hour30. I called at 3pm still not ready. I decided to go there and waited till 4:15 They put my car on the rack and did the alignement for not more than 5 min and told me that it’s ready.
The technician told me my car has play in the tirerod and that’s why they can’t align. What a liair because I did the alignement 6 month ago with them and at that time Joddy was able to do the alignement perfectly. This time he even made the alignment worse than before, numbers dont lie. He disaligned my car and if I have accident because of that you are responsible. This firestone has a serious problem. The technician just wanted to go home because they close at 4pm for Christmas eve. Its not my fault because I made an appointment and brought the car on time and how can you do an alignement for just five minutes. I want some answers!!!

Excellent customer service. Staff is friendly and quickly assisted me and my car was aligned perfectly given my lifetime alignment plan.

I have come here 3 times for oil changes. Two of the 3, something else has gone wrong with my car within a week or two. The first was bad oil. LOTS of smoke! This second time, it is an explosive, smokey radiator leak. My car has been running fine for a year up until now! They are the closest place, but I will take the bus from whatever mechanic has my trust from now on.

My brake light went on last weekend so I scheduled an appointment online. Clean shop, friendly staff. It was highly recommended that I have all 4 rotors and brake pads replaced along with the 2 sensors. Immediately. I was shown the «damage» and was told that the brake fluid had an extremely high copper level. The sensors were stretched, about to snap. And the cobwebs, had my car been sitting for an extended period of time? I agreed that I did not want to be a statistic by not taking this care of ASAP to the tune of $ 1095.00
Thank goodness I got a second opinion. I learned that the brake fluid level was low and for FREE they filled it up. They showed me the copper testing strip that showed a slight copper level, nowhere near where there should be concern and to look for the cause. The mechanic explained how brakes work and what to look for in the future. I should be good for another 5,000 miles.
Want a shop you can trust is giving you good advice? Don’t go to Firestone on Locust.

The office staff are incredibly supportive and friendly. They always gave me true and reliable information. When they finally finished working on my car, it ran good as new. It unfortunately took much longer than I expected. I am very happy the lead tech was able to find the problems. He does great work. Thanks for knocking down the price and giving me those discount because it too so long to get my car back. I will definitely be coming back.

I have a been a Firestone customer for years. Both in Chicago and South Bay, LA. Today, I found my new Firestone! The Firestone Complete Auto Care on 636 Locust Ave in Long Beach was a breath of fresh air. Gina Flgueroa (Mgr of Tire Sales) was my first contact. I called her and she got me in within an hours time. She greeted me when I arrived and had all my information ready. She thoroughly explained my options and encouraged me to get my tire repaired (from the nail she found in it) as opposed to dropping 160 on a new tire. She explained since I was a Firestone customer and my tire was still under warranty, I could get it plugged and patched at NO cost to me!
I left there with a fixed tire and my annoying Tire Pressure Management System light (that BLOCKS ALL other info on my dashboard when lit) FINALLY turned off! Gina explained that if I have any problems, I will be able to get a new tire with a discounted rate to replace. But she didn’t anticipate any problems. Such honesty and kind customer service is rare and is truly appreciated.
I also met Store Manager, Alvaro Cardona, who was very kind, personable, and professional. I’ll definitely make this my Auto Service center for future problems with my Mitsubishi Outlander. I highly recommend this location. Thanks, Gina and Alvaro!

Not sure why every time I go here my car comes out worse. 1^st time was for a tire replacement, then started hearing noises from acceleration. 2^nd time was for oil change, after same noises and sluggish acceleration. 3^rd time was for the noise, but after the noise got worse. Thinking I’m done with this place, my car is old and should probably be looked at by a specialist. Waited all day for my car (with appointment in the morning), got a seemingly unnecessary repair off recommendation and the noise I brought it in for got worse! I feel like such an idiot having gone here so many times.

Alvaro, Gina and everyone at Firestone Auto Care are the best! After bringing my car in with a really horrible noise, they were very patient with me as I tried to explain the situation. And they refused to give up until making sure my car was fixed and noise-​free, even if it was a bit of a puzzling repair. I am thankful for their diligence and their generosity in fixing my car and I will definitely be bringing my car here in the future for any repairs or oil changes. Thanks again!

I had an excellent experience with this Firestone location. I have recently installed new Suspension on my Tacoma and needed a wheel alignment, so I opted for the Firestone Lifetime alignment offer. I do a decent amount of off-​roading, and this will more than pay for itself in the next year or so. This is the second time I have used Firestone for service, and the first time at this location. My other experience at a different location was less than impressive, so I was hesitant to use them again, but couldn’t pass up the lifetime alignment offer, plus this location is walking distance from where I work, which is a bonus. (Holy run on sentence, Batman!)
Anyways, I set an appointment a couple days in advance, and dropped it off the day of the service at 10am. Jodi told me the vehicle would be ready in a couple hours, but I told her I was in no hurry because I don’t get off work until 4. The 2 hours goes by and no call to notify me of the completed service. Again, no big deal for me. I get a call at 1:30 saying my truck is done, and since the service took so long, they replaced my right rear brake light, which was out. Totally unnecessary, but really impressive!
I am completely satisfied with my experience at this location and would recommend it to anyone. Also, Jodi was awesome, super friendly, and didn’t try and sell me anything I didn’t need.

Okay, so I’ve been to this Firestone location a number of times now and bearing in mind that it sits on (and one must enter from) 7^th Street (one way), I am slightly taken aback to see that they’ve got a «Locust Avenue» physical address.
Not residing all that far from this location I was becoming frequently agitated by my «low tire pressure» indicator repeatedly coming on within the dashboard of my new car. I stopped at a place in Culver City alleging free tire checks and they informed me that I had an «off sensor» and would need to take my car back to the dealer for inspection of not repair.
Note to self: ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION.
On my way home I exited 6^th from the 710 headed southbound and remembered that Firestone was a jump, skip and hop away. Pulled in and was instantly greeted by Ken (the irony… we share a name). He quickly had one of the techs re-​inspect my car and as opposed to possessing an «off sensor» as I was previously informed, all that I actually had was a nail in my frikkin’ tire!
Apparently the nail had punctured a portion of the tire that patching couldn’t remedy, I was then quoted the price for a new tire that summed $ 200+ (anticipated for a new Acura TL) and bearing in mind that the decision thereon wafted to my eating for the rest of the week OR traveling to and from work,… I chose to hold off for a bit.
Every now and again for the next week or so I’d notice the light within my dashboard come on again, something I despise, and I was inclined prior to entering the freeway, to stop off at Firestone so that they could check my tire pressure and add air to the tire so that I wouldn’t inadvertenly risk screwing something up.
Note: Firestone does all of the above… for free. No need to stop off at Chevron or Shell and dirty your clothes after paying a quarter for air; these guys do it for you.
Finally, I grew tired of stopping off every other day and returned to actually purchase the new tire. For now, being a repeat customer, lol, I was given a 15% discount off of the tire purchase price (they used a store coupon of some sort) and bearing in mind that it was for a luxury vehicle and a bit more expensive in price, but seldomly kept within inventory — I was informed that they’d have it the next day. No biggie, I thought. I don’t do much driving in my sleep as is…
Sure enough… bright and early the next morning the tire arrived, I was given a call and less than an hour later, the tire had been installed and I was on my way.
This place strikes me as being easy, efficient and affordable (to some) and I’d highly recommend it to those in need of tire care. Thanks guys.

I came in at 10AM and told Gina I wanted an oil change. She checked my car and told me it would be ready in an hour. I walked over to the Denny’s on the same block to have breakfast, got back at 10:45AM and my care was ready to go. Gina rang me up and even applied a coupon without me asking for it (even though I had one that I found online).
They also have a really clean waiting area.
Quick, convenient, easy.

Came in at 10ish for an oil change and they said it would be done at 1. That’s a pretty long wait, but I decided I’ll leave it and walk home. Got back around 1:40 and my car hadn’t been touched. He said they’ll do it in 15 minutes. Wasted my Sunday.
I’ll probably go somewhere else next time.

Called at 9:30 to see if they had any appointments available today. I was told that they have one at 10:30 and to come in. Perfect! I’ll be there. Get there at 10:25 after washing the car and was told that I did not have an appointment. I told her I called an hour ago and she asks, «this location?» Um, I live one block away. Yeah. She then takes my information and tells me that a technician will not be available for thirty to forty five minutes. Ok, I tell them I’ll go home and they say they will call me. On the way home i redial the number i calked, and sure enough, it’s this location. An hour and fifteen minutes later, no phone call. I change my own oil on my personal vehicle, and using a jack with stands, it only takes me 15 minutes.
So here I am. I decide to walk back because I need to get stuff done today, and they just begun working on my vehicle. I’m told it will be just a little bit longer. Been here for fifteen minutes now, still no car. This is now an hour and a half since I dropped it off and two and a half hours since I called.
What is the point of calling in and making an appointment in an effort to be efficient with my valuable time, when it just ends up getting wasted? I could have gone to jiffy lube in Los Al and gotten in and out in an hour, max, with not even calling in and just showing up. Thank you for wasting the first half, of my day! Will not use them again, and like I said, they are literally a block away from where I live.
