Ghassem’s Service Center

We’ve been using these mechanics for years & years. I just now realized I never wrote an official review for them. They’ve been our go-​to service center for the needs of both our 2005 GMC Canyon & our 1996 Saturn LS1. Obviously both cars have some mileage on them, but luckily both cars run well & I attribute that to having Ghassem’s handle both cars for years. They are accommodating and helpful. Through the years, they’ve given useful suggestions on maintenance. And if they can find a way to make the costs cheaper, they will. If it doesn’t need to be done right away, they’ll let us know. I am rest assured that our cars are in the best hands. They are very busy & they should be. It’s hard to find skilled honest mechanics. So, count me as another long-​time satisfied customer who highly recommends this business!

Abby (sp?) was absolutely fantastic! I brought in my car when the engine sounded louder than usual. I was given an accurate time estimate (1 – 2 hours; I arrived just as the team had left for lunch, so it took a bit), and upon my return I was given an honest account of what’s up with my car and several options as to how to deal with it. In the end I decided to wait before treating the issue, and I wasn’t even charged for the time they spent looking at my car! I couldn’t have asked for better service.

This place rocks! They are very professional and knowledgeable and won’t take advantage of you. I tell all my friends to go here. I have been using them for almost 10 years and I only have great things to say.

Just stopped by the shop to have them check the squealing noise my Lexus RX300 was making. I did some research online and thought it was the belts. The guys checked it out and told me the belts were all in great shape. They were just loose. They tighten everything up for me and sent me on my way. What a relief. Thanks guys!

Love this place! Staff is always so friendly and gets me in and out in a matter of a couple of hours! The owner never tries to up sell you or charge you more than what you really need. We need more businesses like this!

Best auto repair shop in town! My cls63 AMG clunking sound from engine, I went to another shop and they told it would be a $ 2400 repair. I went abbey at Ghassems auto and the fixed my car for $ 500 bucks! Hands down a life saver. Thank you for all your help abbey!

My other car had a slow leak on the driver’s side rear tire. I also had family coming in from out of town within a few hours and couldn’t take a chance on getting a new tire since it might take a while. So I went back to my new (favorite) mechanic. Despite having a car in every bay with a few more waiting to get work done, Ghassem rolled out a jack, took the tire off, we found the problem (a nail with no head) and he took care of it right away. I’d say I was in and out within 20 minutes tops, less than $ 20.00 and no longer having to worry about the tire. Thanks again guys… you’re the best!

Khosro is one of the nicest person that I’ve met in my life. He took the time to repair my tire (there was a nail in it) when he was closing. He had to be home by 6 pm for some personal reasons, but he still took care of me.

I think the key about this place is honesty. These guys do quality work. My family and I have been coming here for many years for all of our automotive repair and maintenance needs. I think it is the consistency of service over all of the years that keeps me coming back. Thanks guys!

Fair prices and honest service. He’s near Pepboys and the prices are always better than Pepboys and Ghassem is so much nicer than anyone at Pepboys. He has told me a few times that the stuff Pepboys wants to do to my car is unnecessary.

Ghassem’s is very close, walking distance from my house — I wanted this to be as good as the Unilocal reviews I read. My experience was much lower than the rankings I read on Unilocal.They were late in calling me for updates and work completed as promised — this happens. But I was losing oil faster than I should be on my BMW X3 — I took it here for examination — they just changed the oil said all was ok. The oli dropped faster than it should — they did an engine clean and service repair — refilled my oil — told me done. I continued to experience oil loss — took the car to Signal Hill Foreign Auto Service — Leo knew right away the issue — common on BMW cars of this time. Fixed it — done. I would not recommend Ghassem going forward. I do like Signal Hill Foreign Auto Service.

We are vacationing from out of town and ran into some car troubles. We checked on Unilocal for the best auto mechanic and we found him! We called Ghassems at 11:30am and were back on the road by 5pm. We were welcomed with a smile and were always addressed by first name. Same day service with a smile and a reasonable price. Great place!

Ghassem was outstanding. I dropped my car off (without an appointment) and before I even made it to the garage he came out to greet me. I explained my issue (car making squeaking and knocking noises) and that I thought it may be related to the brakes recently being changed. My car was checked in within minutes of my arrival.
For the record, I am a girl and was there by myself and never felt ignored or condescended to, as the other review states. Perhaps that was a one off.
What really blew me away was the prompt check in, timely repair, honest work, and beyond fair pricing. I have never had a car checked in for service for this cheap, let alone including labor. I expected it to be a few hundred dollars, but it was less than $ 50! And ready within hours.
I will not go anywhere else because I found a mechanic I can trust to do good and honest work!

The highest quality service, with the best prices I have ever found. They will tell you when you don’t need something and take the time to explain the reason you need the things done that you do. I’m a lifer!

I am always happy with the service they provide. Very friendly, the owner always seems to remember not only my face but name. Prices are great and I never have to worry about being over charged for a service or part.

This place is really helpful and makes sure you are %100 satisfied with their service. I had to get my rear differential replaced and they went above and beyond to make sure my car was fully repaired. The job was a good deal for the price considering it is an expensive job to replace the rear differential, but overall I am glad I went here. Will go here again for future maintenance for my car.

Honest! The owner is friendly, patient when explaining, and does not overcharge. I will go there the next time I need car repairs.

I took my car in because it was overheating after like 5 minutes of driving. He diagnosed it and said he checked the engine and it was likely the thermostat and it would cost roughly $ 120 for parts and labor to replace. I told him I’d get back to him on it so I could do my research.
After calling and talking to another car repair shop (one that was rated pretty high on Unilocal in this area) they also said that it would cost roughly $ 120. I figured I might as well bring it into Ghassem’s. I spoke with Ghassem and he asked me to bring it in at 8am so he could finish and get it back to me but because additional car problems, I brought it in at 10:15am. He told me tried his best. True to his word, I came back at noon when they were closed and he was still working on my car.
Got it back at roughly 12:15pm, and I thanked him and tried tipping him but I guess he could tell that I was a broke college student because he refused to take it. Very nice guy, definitely going to bring any future car worries to this man!
