This place is truly amazing! Don’t walk run here! It’s amazing comfort food, BBQ that is so good, because let face it BBQ is so hit and miss here in California.
Anyways i was up from San Diego and my friend was in from Oklahoma, she said is was like someplace she’d see at home. But we’d already done the ghetto taco shop.
So I have celiacs and they were so awesome here. They have so many options for me. They sell hard cider, thank you.
I got to have fried green tomatoes for the first time in YEARS, I think close to 10 years. I had their bowl that you can customize. min had mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts (which was not on this particular menu but my server Danny and Kevin said the brussel sprouts were so amazing), then topped with pulled pork.
If you guys made hushpuppies Gluten free, then I’d be so happy to drive out of th way every month for a fix. Also gravy lol, but then I’d be as huge and wouldn’t be able to fit through the door.
My friend had the chicken and waffles, I also got this to go for my husband. They both loved the spicy syrup that came with it.
Service and food were simply amazing and whenever I ma near one of your locations I will come back. Thank you!

This place had been on my radar for a long time because 1. we live nearby and 2. my fiancé loves southern BBQ.
We finally came and it was better than I even anticipated! They have a small dirt parking lot to the right of the entrance and right away, it feels like the kinda place you’d hit up on a roadtrip down south. Welcoming employees, large portions, cozy ambiance, comfort food, etc.
Amy was our hostess and was a delight, I don’t remember our servers name but she was equally great.
When you check in on Unilocal you get a free order of onion rings (!) which they were out of because it was an hour to closing time. They were super cool and offered us another appetizer in its place so we got the fried pickles and OMG they’re like crack pickles — soo good.
I ordered the hot link sandwich. It comes by itself with BBQ sauce on a bun but I added slaw and pepper jack cheese and it was a messy piece of heaven. My other half had the beef brisket with greens, sweet potato fries, and corn bread and he LOVED it. Very impressed and we will definitely be back!

Service only gives this place 5 stars! First time there and I was given free onion rings! These guys understand service and how to gain repeat business.
Then the food arrives and you’d think this must be heaven! The pulled pork was the most amazing I’ve had and I eat a ton of BBQ all over the country! Sweet tea was better than anything in the south. I could go on and on but I’d just recommend going there for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Dropped in after a long day at work for take out and saw Tiffany who is always awesome. Today Mom and I are trying Lonestar Burgers and Im grabbing Dad a fried chicken southern sandwich.
Also had to get the MANDATORY Banana Pudding (you already know).

Came for lunch.
