I have been to many Johnny rockets before. This one does not meet the bar. It is too small and there is no excitment like the others I have been too. When we ordered malts they where shorted, amounts in the cup and the flavor was just ok. The shakes at Red Robbin or In and Out are much better. Then there malts.

Terrible burger – absolutely no flavor. It’s like they forgot to put salt and pepper on it. Would choose any burger from McDonald’s over this ten times out of ten. Mediocre service. Good standard fries though.

Burger was cooked so well done it was unchewable and was almost black in color and lettuce was very old and wilted.

This is the worst Johnny Rockets I’ve been to. Service is always SLOW. this may be because there is only 1 waitress. And, they don’t always get your order right. The place feels dirty and it is always hot. I don’t think they turn on the AC at all. There are better burger places on Pine with better service and for the same price.

Probably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Thought this place was comparable to Ruby’s…SO, SO wrong. My girlfriend and I came around 8pm on a Monday and there was only one other table of people dining. We sat at the bar and it was awhile before anyone greeted us. There were two people working, a young waitress who seemed new and another lady who was cooking. If you sit at the bar you can see everything they grill/make. We just ordered waters and the girl poured us water from a pitcher that was under the counter. There was no ice, the water tasted chlorinated and it was room temperature. Yikes. These waters were not refilled once during our dinner because it was impossible to get the waitresses attention(more and more people started to come in and place to-go orders). It took her a little while to come back and take our orders… I ordered the #12 burger with fries and my girlfriend ordered the fried chicken salad and a banana chocolate milkshake. I asked the waitress what her favorite thing was on the menu and she literally said«I’ve never eaten anything here.» Wow. We watched as this lady SLAMMED the shit out of my burger on the grill… I mean smashed it to hell. When it arrived to me, I picked it up and it completely crumbled and fell apart. I almost sent it back, but I was fairly confident the next burger would arrive in the same state, so I just went to it with a fork and knife. There was absolutely nothing special about this burger. I could have crumbled the meat up and it would have fit into a shot glass, that’s how flat and tiny it was. The portion of fries was also tiny, like a heaping handful… but they were hot and very good, granted that doesn’t mean much coming from me… I will literally eat and love any french fry I am served. My friend liked her salad but some of the veggies weren’t the freshest. The $ 5.99 milkshake was good, but not completely blended(also they had completely forgotten to give us the shake, along with forgetting dressing, silverware, napkins, etc… we had to keep asking for these things)…anyway the shake was also TINY. Like kid’s size portion. They give you the extra in the metal cup, but the thing is, they didn’t even fill the first glass… so you are essentially getting like 12oz of milkshake for $ 6.00. Insane. During our meal, there were 2 – 3 bums that came in from the street and neither of the two ladies(if I can call them that) seemed to pay any mind. One guy(drunk as hell) actually got right in between my friend and I and was close enough that I could smell his vodka breath. He started talking to us and being annoying to the point where I myself had to ask him to leave. Again, neither of the employees did shit. It took her forever to give us our check, which she couldn’t figure out how to split, again annoying. I would NEVER return to this location and would probably not return to ANY of their locations based off this experience. I remember Johnny’s Rockets from years ago, and this is not the same establishment. Waste of great space on Pine.

I absolutely love Johnny Rockets. This was my first and last time coming to THIS location. The quality of food and service sucked. I was soooo disappointed I took a few bites and literally left it all there. It was disgusting. It seemed like it all went from frozen st8 to the frier. I will not let THIS Johnny Rockets ruin it for me I/we just will not return to THISLOCATION. Take note… Johnny Rockets in Pasadena is the best.

Found a longgggg grey hair in my fries today, I’m not the type to complain but most restaurants require employees to wear their hair in buns. Or at least that’s what I thought. Couldn’t even get anyone’s attention to ask for new fries. But at least the burger was good I guess

Fresh Farm-To-Table hamburgers, which are never frozen are 100% farm-raised beef: Quality is evident in every bite of The Original, my favorite selection — and the one that started it all. The nostalgia and American Fries, make an ordinary afternoon, seem like a Patriotic Holiday. I dig the pleasant staff, jukeboxes at each booth, the cleanliness and shininess of all the chrome, it’s fair prices, and consistent good food. I hope they continually prosper living The American Dream. Rock On.

The one star is for the nice wait person. The food is AWFUL. Wtf happened to JR? I remember the original on Melrose was awesome, even edgy. Did Institutional Pablum Corp buy the chain and replace the food with styrofoam packing material?

My mom had the $ 5 burger deal it comes with all can eat fries and I had the tuna sandwich with fires. My mom loved it but my fires were cold. But they took care of it quickly. It was good and I would come again.

This place looks tired. Needs a renovation. No AC especially on a very hot day. Food and service good but who wants to sweat while eating.

I hadn’t been to a Johnny Rockets in YEARS and my bf who is from the east coast had never been. So we wandered in for a bite. The menu prices seemed to be fairly reasonable(at first glance), but I noticed this restaurant was definitely lacking from what I had remembered Johnny Rockets to be. No straw holder swivel, juke boxes on tables don’t work. U have to ask for utensils and they act like that’s a weird request. I got the build a burger and substituted turkey meat which the menu did not say was an extra charge. It did say substituting other meats was extra so I would assume it should have said it for turkey patty if it was supposed to be extra. But whatever. I chose a few items from the«free add ons», and then two from the additional charge side. Cheese & mushrooms which were $ 1 each. Fine. But when I got my bill I noticed I was charged for some of the things, besides the turkey patty which were clearly listed on the«free add ons», namely 60 cents for the jalapeños. It wasn’t worth pointing it out, but I was told that the build your own burger didn’t come with fries or salad because of the«low price», so being charged for items that were supposed to be no charge kind of defeated that logic. Also my vanilla coke which I had been excited for was really flat and over syrupy. The food tasted pretty good, but I was disappointed that My bf did not get to experience the real Johnny Rockets experience I remembered.(Forget about the dancing). Oh and another thing that really turned me off was right in the middle of eating, our server came to our area and started mopping with this very strong smelling chemical which really turned my stomach. Only in our little area too. I don’t know why she picked that exact moment while we were eating, but that was a turn off. Also to use the restroom you have to get a key and go around the building to this sketchy corner and it smells. I might try another location.

This is definitely not the rockets I enjoyed coming to as a child here in LB! Not the same old school experience as other locations. Ketchup didn’t come W a smiley face, the straws weren’t presented in the old school straw dispenser. But what really killed it for me was the fact the juke box music system was down, that’s a first ever. Shake was delicious, chicken strips were a bit over cooked, salad was mediocre. I came here more for the old school atmosphere, and was disappointed. The location at the block in Anaheim is 100X better. Kids eat free all day Sunday M-F after 4.

This location has changed over time. Not what it used to be at all. It was the ideal place to go before or after a movie a few years ago. But since the Pine Square Theater closed down, the restaurant has declined and is no longer a quality experience such as the Johnny Rockets in Orange and Anaheim. Lunch? To be fair — the fries, chili, and shakes are good. I’d say okay if you work or have business nearby… only because there really aren’t any fast food chain restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Currently they do have a buy 1 adult entrée and get 1 free kids meal promotion, every day of the week so that is where I’d give them a plus.

I love Johnny Rockets. I mean, I LOVEJOHNNYROCKETS! But this location just cannot live up to the brand that it represents! I have visited this location a handful of times in the past few years and it just keeps disappointing. The food is never good and the service is just as bad. The last time I was there I was served a mediocre grilled cheese with barely melted cheese and a side of old, stale French fries. What made it worse is that it took way too long to be served although there were literally only 4 other guests in the establishment. Its really disappointing to know that the johnny rockets in my city is not good at all, because it means I have to make the drive elsewhere to get my fix. I would love to come back one day and actually enjoy my visit. Sad to say, I probably won’t be returning in a very very long time :/

We came here strictly for dessert. We ate next door at Alondra’s and I wanted apple pie a la mode for dessert, and Johnny Rockets’ had precisely this! Despite the fact that it was microwaved, the pie was phenomenal. Much better than the brownie my boyfriend ordered, but both of us were happy as clams. And the waitress was super nice. We’ll definitely be back!
