Keep It Runnin

My husband had called a couple of mobile mechanics this afternoon to get our oil pump replaced on a truck at our business. He got quotes from a couple of different places but this one was very responsive and quoted the same as the other guy. The other guy answered his phone with a «hello» which is always off putting when you’re calling a business. Keep It Runnin kept it professional. I went to Unilocal and the other guy had better reviews so when my husband came in and said he told Keep It Runnin to come on over I slightly panicked inside because of the bad reviews here. The truth is, this isn’t the first time we’ve gone with a business that had bad reviews. It does factor into our decision but doesn’t supersede any actual experiences we have when calling a business. Anyway, we went with Keepin It Runnin and had a really good experience. He called back when he said he would, he showed up when he said he would, he fixed it like he said he would and charged us what he said he would. What’s not to love? He’s my new go-​to-​guy from here on out!

Expensive, engine still runs like crap, stay away unless absolutly HAVE too. Way better boat mechanics in the area

Got me to work on time with a speedy flat tire change and air for the low spare. Richard was more than helpful and I will be sure to use his speedy and efficient services in the future.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. And we don’t even live in Long Beach. We were in Long Beach for some business and at the eleventh hour literally (in the pouring rain!) we needed a mechanic to help fix a hand brake on a car from the 1940s before it needed to ship to another state. Richard is super reliable, professional, quick & he knows what he’s doing. I can’t recommend him highly enough– I only wish he was in San Diego too! However, if you’re anywhere near Long Beach and you’re having car issues, I would definitely give Richard a call. He is a mobile mechanic and will come to you if needed! I am confident he can handle any car (or boat!) issue that needs fixing!

Had a problem with my vehicle. I called Keep It Runnin Auto Mobile Mechanic out — They are very professional, quick and honest. The mechani definately knows his stuff my car was ready before my work day ended. He went over every detail with me. Don’t hesitate to use them. I was suprised to find out they had no advertisement on Unilocal.I took the time to help them out as they had done such a great job.

Good in a pinch, meaning he will get you running. but on the pricey side and really not as «seasoned» as you would expect for the $$ hes charging. Doesnt really know how to troubleshoot… easily stumped.
Overall, for the money, too expensive.

My car broke down on the way to work yesterday and I was waiting AAA to come. Richard happened to be around the corner and helped me diagnose my problem while I was getting an ETA on my tow. He showed me exactly what was wrong, called a shop to get a price on the new parts, got me an estimateand offered to fix it immediately. The price was fair, so I agreed with my tow still an hour out at least.
He had my car fixed in about 2 hours and was very courteous and professional. Because of the quickness in the repair, I was able to get to work with a perfectly running vehicle before noon. It’s the fastest I’ve ever had an issue fixed having taken my car to shops before. If you’re in a time crunch or simply looking for quality repairs, I highly recommend Richard to get it done quick and right.

Richard helped me out with a carburetor issue on my boat. I called him and he fixed the issue the same day. The engine runs great and he gave me a fair price. I was really happy with my experience.

I paid $ 1,050 dollars to Richard Chavez, Self employed /​owner of Keep it Running mobile auto repair. I agreed to pay $ 1,050 dollars to order a new «front clip» basically a whole new front end for my vehicle. The price was already agreed upon including shipping, done deal. After the transaction, he calls me, the pricing of the front end goes up, as well as the shipping cost, now increasing the price to $ 1500. FIRST BAD BUSINESS MOVE, 2^nd, in result of the price HIKE, I requested to receive a refund, its been 9 days of avoiding phone calls, emails, text messaging, all of these were great sources of communication when it was generating him money. I’m in the process of hiring a family attorney to seek my FULL refund.
Contact was made, he stated he spent the money, and is very busy, and very stressed. Also, that he does NOT have the money, and will contact me he is able to do the refund.
