Long Beach Autohaus

For about a year now I’ve taken my BMW 750 LI to three different places 8 different times. Had to have it towed 6 times! No one could ever get it fixed right! It was so frustrating. Then I read about this place on the Internet and gave it a try. The owner is so smart he found all the problems. Fixed everything. I can’t even tell you how nice it is to finally have my car back working right. If only I had gone to him first I would have saved so much time frustration and money. This is definitely the place to take your car.

Got in a little wheel to curb smack down turning too quickly into a gas station. Car was pulling to right and all kinds of alarms on the panel of my BMW X3 went on. As I have always done (given that car is still under warranty) I brought it into local BMW Service Dept for the eval and initial $ 150 or so fee; they came back with an estimate over $ 8000 with major parts needing replacement. I was stunned and I didn’t want to go thru my insurance. A friend recommended a second opinion and I found this place on Unilocal.My neighbor has brought his car here and he concurred it was a good shop for BMW service. Great staff, friendly and informative; bottom line is that several parts that BMW service told me needed replacement did not and they repaired my car for a fraction of the cost! there was a couple of days delay with the diagnostics than what was originally communicated to me, but in sum, a great experience and major $$ saver!

The people that work here are really nice. They go above and beyond the call of duty. The Audi dealership quoted me triple the price and told me nobody else would be able to turn the service light off. I went to Autohaus and they did an outstanding job! I’ll be taking my car back here for its next service.

Glad I found this place. Got service on my 2008 bmw. They know about cars and the staff is awesome. Will definitely be using them from here on out.

Took my audi a6 and brought the part and they were very nice and serviced my car pretty fast for very reasonable price.

I met The owner Scott Parson of Long Beach Autohaus (Automobilies Services) at the Vintage Auto Racing club this week up at Buttonwillow Ca. He was one of my driving instructors and was a great teacher. Later that day my C320 Mercedes broke down at the race track. He was kind enough to come over to my car and look at it and tell my the problem of my car. And was able to fix it right there. oh did I say «No Change» When I tried to pay him he said «what goes around comes around. I’m now driving 60 minutes to take my car there when it needs services. Thank you Scott.

What was great about my experience was knowing what had to be done on my car, what could wait, and what to expect in the future. Made me feel like I was being treated fairly and they would take care of me on the future. And the price was very reasonable.

I took my new used car, a 2008 Audi A4, into Long Beach Auto Haus this week. It was running a little rough, I thought, and definitely needed oil changed. This was my first servicing since purchasing the vehicle and my first time at Auto Haus.
I was so pleased with the friendly service and theeir skill dealing with my Audi. It needed a valve cover oil seal and when they got in there, it had the original plugs! So we replaced them with Bosch and put the new seal in and I couldn’t be happier. Runs better than when I purchased it. Great experience at Auto Haus.
To top it off, their driver for pick ups and drop offs, Dale, is a Long Beach native (Jordan High School) and is quite the conversationalist.

So I took the time to do some long needed repairs to my wife’s 2002 Mini Cooper. I replaced the rotors, wheel bearings, and pads. Once I had it back together I somehow blew the master cylinder. Not knowing this at the time the road test turned up a very spongy pedal. Unwilling to bleed the system I realized I needed to just take it into a shop. My go-​to place has been Long Beach Muffler. But the guys don’t work on mini’s. He recommended Long Beach Autohaus. The reviews where good so I took the car down. The people behind the counter where VERY nice and seemed to be very well educated about cars and the shop, which was very impressive to me.
The phone call came back that it was the master, but also they caught that my serpentine belt was almost broken. Turns out that I had a bad Tensioner pulley. The car having over 175K miles I was not surprised. The work was done promptly and professionally. Also they washed the car and we got it back very clean and working better then ever.
The price was a ton more then I expected, but honestly it was very fair and they worked with me on a few things. I felt they where very honest and fair with there pricing and it left me feeling very comfortable about bringing the car to them in the future. Great job guys you have a happy new customer.

Glad to have found Autohaus after several mediocre experiences at a high price at a Mercedes dealership.
These folks will be straight with you, and aren’t trying to cut corners. Not every bit of work they have done was a «bargain», but it’s an expensive car, right? They have done several repairs for me and have always kept me updated. They found a way to repair my dash electronics (it had to be sent to Tennessee) for less than half the cost of a new one; which was the only choice at a dealership.
Check it out, meet the amazing Laura to check you in, the knowledgeable and occasionally grumpy mechanics, driver Dale, and see the mystery fun car of the month. They always seem to have some interesting labor-​of-​love project car parked at the front of the garage. You might get a free doughnut.

OK. Let’s all agree that car stuff and repairs can and usually is a complete NIGHTMARE. Not the case here my people.
I’m a «hobbyist» mechanic and know my stuff pretty well but when it comes to certain things, I don’t even bother especially with electrical issues.
I brought my 1971 Mercedes 220 to see these guys upon recommendation and all I got was straight forward honest talk. One of the mechanics Carlos encouraged me to work through my issue on my own which led me to saving hundredsssss of sweet baby green backs.
He figured out that I was capable of doing the work on my own and simply encouraged me to do so.
You don’t find that sort of stuff in the auto world and with that in addition to their great customer service, these guys win. May I add that the esthetics of the shop are genius!

Wonderful service! I couldn’t be happier. I took my clk320 in for A service the same day I called and they got right to it. I was able to talk to david who is one of the technicians and he told me a lot of information on the problems I’m having with my car. He was able to spot a vacuum line leak and replaced it at no charge. As for the annoying suspension noise he sprayed some grease on one of the bushings and now the noise is gone! With his knowledge of over 20 years on Mercedes he is the go-​to guy. David even took me back underneath the car to show me everything he has done on it. I would also like to thank Laury for all her help and hospitality. If you need an honest and affordable repair shop then look no further. I was shocked at how well they run their shop and the knowledge and excellent service they give. They have definitely earned my business. Friendly, honest, good prices. Doesn’t get any better than that!

I HATE leaving negative reviews– specially for a business like this. I appreciate their knowledge & expertise + great quality of work but u can’t just go from a $ 200 estimate to $ 800 bill.
The Good: Ok, this place is excellent if your ready to dish out the money & have an open wallet. They know what they are doing and are very experienced + advise you in detail on your issues.
The Bad: PRICES are ridiculous– I went in for a coolant flush on a porsche 996AFTER GETTING A QUOTE RANGING FROM $ 175-​$ 200 i told them while doing the flush check out the car, as there is a loose hose near the oil filler cap– I go in, and my bill is $ 800, no one called me to tell me it was this high, no one told me anything– The hose replaced was $ 48 and somehow took 3 hours to replace at $ 125 an hour, plus the coolant flush labor alone was about $ 300 so where did my $ 175/​$ 200 QUOTE GO?
$ 600 MORE than expected and no warning? thats just unacceptable…

This team of nice & knowledgable locals are always a pleasure to give business to. I recommend anyone who has a BMW like myself to give your business to Autohaus. You will not be disappointed in the least.

We have been bringing our 5 series BMW here for a few years. Every time we come in it’s an upcharge. One time, after a repair, the brakes were making a horrible sound and, of course, oops — now you need this. We’re taking our old 5 series (and when the warranty expires) our new 5 series to the German repair place near downtown on Broadway, It got 5 stars from almost everyone who reviewed it and I used to take my old 1966 Mercedes there years ago.

Writing this review and wish I had thought to do it sooner to let people know Long Beach Autohaus is the highly professional not to mention Laura and Scott are simply amazing people when it comes to making sure their customers are completely satisfied with the work and service performed. The technicians are highly competent with years of training and experience. When it comes to indentifying the root cause of almost any automotive problem and implementing a corrective action Long Beach Autohaus is the best of the best. I have been a loyal customer since 2004 will not take my Mercedes anywhere else for consistent and complete care.

My only complaint is that I wish I’d found this place sooner!
Starting with Laura at the front desk and through the staff and the owner, Scott, they have customer service in their blood. They are informative, polite, friendly and refreshingly helpful. And knowledgeable far beyond many other shops or dealerships. They know German cars.
Whether it is a standard service, something more serious or just fixing a faulty turn signal bulb, they are willing to accommodate and their prices are a fraction of a dealership. Yes, a major service could take a little longer than a dealership — they are a local, one outlet shop without a huge fleet of mechanics to call in if someone is sick — but their pricing and service make it more than worthwhile.
If you call for an appointment you can be assured of getting in and they will make exceptions for those with emergencies, doing their best to meet people’s needs.
For those who couldn’t get through on the phone once or had an off day, COME BACK. It’s worth it. And, by the way, this is the cleanest auto shop you’ll ever see. Pride in ownership, pride in the work place and pride in their customer service.
If you have a German car, bring it here. If you don’t, go buy one so you can bring it here.

I have been bringing my BMW here for a year now. Unfortunately which is no fault of theirs, my car continues to break down. That’s a different story, however the Auto haus is amazing. Laura at the front desk is always friendly and most of all they are honest. Inexpensive and quick.

I was recommended to them by another mechanic who could not work on my car. Although they did not work on my car, I want to give a review based on their customer service.
I go to the front counter and tell them that Andy from Overseas sent me, the woman at the front desk immediately approaches with a smile and looks over my paperwork. She looks puzzled and says «Sorry sweetheart, we only work on Foreign cars. I wonder why Andy sent you here?» Instead of sending me on my merry way, she takes the time out to assist me.
She calls another mechanic, and asks if they work on Saturns. Apparently they say Yes, and she asks them for availability. She hands me their name, number, and address but advises me that they are booked and only have time on Monday. I thank her kindly and leave. It was hot, and I was stressed and sweaty… but I was so glad that she took 5 minutes out of her day to help me :)

Great service took my car in for some AC work. Owner kept it for 2 days and was honest when he said he couldn’t properly diagnose it. I appreciate that kind of honesty. He recommended the dealership for the issue, put my car back together and didn’t charge me a dime. For the time and effort they put into the diagnostics I was surprised there was no charge and they didn’t try to fix something they didn’t understand
