I love diners & I love the Long Beach Diner. It’s a really cute place that seems to have that real local vibe to it where everyone knows everyone & their families! Their menu is ridiculous… Pages & pages of food. I’ve never seen a more extensive menu. There’s something for everyone. I’ve eaten some very typical diner food here & some very untypical. Eggs, omelettes etc… Very good, tasty & definitely fresh. Their chicken wings are crunchy on the outside & moist on the inside. Loved them. And… I’ve also ordered their version of «surf & turf». Yep… I did… Surf & turf @ a diner. It was a skirt steak I think. Cooked perfectly Med rare. Very tasty piece of meat & tender. The surf part … Stuffed shrimp! I loved them … For real… They were soo good & smothered in a garlicky butter sauce. Pretty cool place with a ton of variety! I’m here before the summer but… Between mem day & Labor Day… They deliver RIGHTTOTHEBEACH!!! What??? That’s so cool. Check them out!

The good: No wait in a Saturday afternoon, which was good. Wait staff was very friendly. The bad: carpet on the floor in a diner is gross… we noticed food all over the floor under the table. Food was OK. When we got in the car: my friend found a roach on his leg!!! NEVER again

Ordered BLT wrap that had day old hard bacon in it and wrap fell apart as soon as I picked it up. Motza ball soup no flavor what so ever. Lemon Meringue pie was a double layer of cake with lemon pudding in middle. The only positive was the shake I had. Sorry guys to many good places to eat in Long Beach to ever go back to this place.

Great, standard diner food. This location is fairly large with room for lots of patrons, making the wait minimal for the most part. The service was great — everyone was very friendly and helpful. They have your classic diner favorites, and they are definitely as good as they sound. We tried an assortment of omelettes and salads, all of which were very good. Go ahead, get the fries with your eggs. It’s worth it! We will definitely be back.

We had bought a coupon through . The first time we went there, we couldn’t use it cause they said it needs to be printed out. No where in the deal it says that. And i had no trouble using anywhere except this place. Second time we went there, i printed the coupon this time. We told the waitress and she said yes its good. When we went to pay, they couldn’t adjust the bill for whatever reason and if we were to use the coupon we have to pay cash. We didn’t have enough cash, gladly I had some in my car. That lady in the counter was unpleasant. Food is ok.

I like coming here because the quality of food is good, the lady behind the counter is very nice and you do not need to wait as long or deal with crowds like you do at the Laurel across the street for similar food at a higher price. My favorite items are the greek omlet, the cheeseburger platter and they have brownies that are to just die for. Very underrated and under appreciated spot on the west end.

My wife and I went with a coupon to Long Beach diner for dinner for our first time. We ordered two dinners a stuffed chicken dinner and a Yankee pot roast dinner. We started out with two soups a clam chowder and a chicken matzo ball. Both were good but the ingredients in my chicken matzoh ball were much better than the stock which was watery and ordinary. We then got two salads a regular and a Greek salad which were fresh, tasty and quite large. The dinners themselves were very good but my potato pancakes were not good and were returned. The onion rings I got with the meal were a frozen type. Portion size was good for the type of meals we ordered. Dessert was ordinary but OK. The really great part of our dinner was our server Brianna who was excellent, friendly and attentive and made a rather ordinary meal into something much better. The price to value ratio is about average for this type of restaurant. All in all this was a very good experience and I look forward to returning in the near future.

Unbelievably poor service. Ordered delivery from here and it took an hour and fifty minutes to receive my order… Almost two hours! To put in perspective by the time I received my breakfast it was lunch time. The food received was poor as well… Eggs tasted microwaved, roll was old, fruit smoothie was completely melted. I absolutely will not be ordering from here again. … And this is coming from someone who always gives places a second try before ruling them out. So disappointed.

I really liked long beach diner. Simple and nice. However, last time I went I was completely disgusted. The workers need to take care of their fingernails. The woman who served me had her fingers touching my spoon for the soup. My friend and I both noticed her fingers and I could not eat my main course without thinking about those finger nails. I do not know if I will come again.

Ordered delivery. On the phone asked for a total, it was about ten dollars more than expected. So I asked her to check again and again she gave me the same total. When the food arrived and I looked over the receipt turns out they charged me ten dollars for nothing. So after making it a point to get delivery so I wouldn’t have to leave the house I was forced to drive to the diner to get my money back. When the whole ordeal was over I got my ten dollars back and kept the food. Which was terrible. Worst most watery vanilla shake ever. Flat overcooked burger, soggy stuck together fries. The soup was undercooked. The chicken was way too chunky and thick and the noodles were al dente at best. The staff were nasty and rushed and used foul language completely unprovoked. I highly highly suggest you avoid going here.

My go to diner in LB. The portions are large, the servers are always courteous and friendly and the prices are very fair.

AVOIDTHISPLACE! DON’T SPENDYOURMONEYHERE! Ordered sunny side up eggs and they came out pretty much raw… server was attentive(which is what the one star is for) Aside from the garbage I was served my main problem was with the cashier/owner(big guy with foreign accent) When I went up to pay the check I handed this incompetent individual two credit cards. My wife’s and mine so we could split the tab… the guy looked completely bewildered as if he had never seen this done before. After what seemed like literally 10 minutes of me standing there he finally charged the cards and printed up the receipts. I signed for both receipts and he completely flipped out telling me I would go to jail since I signed for my wife’s card. Im not one to make a scene so I politely stated that it was my wife’s card and she was sitting with me, he continued to yell and draw unnecessary attention for no reason. Sorry buddy but you cant run a business like that

Sorry but I have to say these guys have gone down dramatically. I used to be an avid fan and would never think about becoming a «Laurel guy». Well, the truth is I am now that guy. I no longer go here. There are new owners and things are different.

I was skeptical at first when I saw their 5?6? Page menu packed with appetizers and entrees.(I’m a big Chef Ramsay fan and usually big menus = mediocre food, cause it indicates that the kitchen isn’t specializing in couple dishes.) Anyways the service was decent, food was good, the french fries were great, and the portions were amazing. Ya, that pretty much sums it up. We had 7people dining and everyone LOVED their fries-so crunchy literally like potato chips. Actually I think all their fried food was pretty amazing I had the eggplant parmigiana and it wad so crunchy with so much cheese melted on top, it was great. The only thing was the pasta was a little bland and service could’ve been better but overall, I would come back again!

Good, simple, typical & consistent diner food. My FAVORITE Greek salad dressing ever! and I get it w/the grilled chicken which is very flavorful as far as Greek salads w/chicken go. I have not had a better chicken on a salad. The dressing is some sort of Oil, Basil, Tomato? concoction, but I literally drink it down, and ask for more! Can be a bit crowded on a weekend morning 10a-1p.Friendly servers.

This is my clutch go to when all else fails or I am just in the mood for about anything. The staff is fantastic and the food is great diner or not. I have had many a morning in this place and they sold me when they were giving out coffee the day after Sandy. If you go enough, they become like family in there minus all off the annoying things that usually come with visiting family to eat. This is the place to go in LB boys and girls.

Typical Saturday mornings in my apartment consist of me, sitting in bed, clutching my stomach complaining about how starving I am. Whats the cure? Why, the diner, of course. Especially lately, since all I can talk about is WAFFLES. For such a small town, there are a lot of diners in long beach. I was going to be adventurous and try one I hadn’t been to this weekend, but then I realized I had a full day of tattoos and drinking ahead of me, and didn’t want to mess with what I knew. Two eggs, over easy, well done hashbrowns and ginger ale… yumtastic. I effn love when you squish the middle of an egg and the yolk goes all over the hashbrowns, and I hate when the eggs are too well done and the yolk is like cold butter. These kids were quick, friendly, and we got there early enough that the weekend rush wasn’t in — no wait — AND I got to see my new favorite long beach local, mean Santa. The menu is typical diner huge, but they did a good job in breakfast and I’ve had their wraps and burgers before… huge crap I forgot to get waffles. Smell ya Saturday!

The. Best. French Fries. Ever!!! Seriously amazing. And they aren’t cooked with lard — yippee! Huge salads so this lil vegan was thrilled. Boyfriend always gets the burger or eggs and it looks genormous. Nicky and his staff could not be nicer. And those French Fries… seriously…amazeballs!
