Absolutely horrible. The food here is NOT worth paying for. I get its an in store with very limited choices, but the fried rice is bland, the lo mein noodles are dry as anything and the chicken usual is tough and rubbery as if sitting in the warmers too long. Not worth it and when I found out egg rolls cost 1.50 or something, I said nty never mind and Still got charged for it and wouldn’t take it back or refund even though I didn’t touch it and was still in the little paper envelope thing they put it in. The women don’t listen very well and I won’t ever go here to this location again no matter how bad I crave chinese.

I kind of hate Chinese food as a whole but Panda Express(and occasionally P.F. Chang’s) is the only place I’ve found where I don’t want to throw it away the moment I take my first bite. In fact, I really like Panda Express in general. This location specifically is the closest one and is actually the only one I’ve ever been to with a one time exception, and from my experience it’s been nothing but good-to-great. The food itself typically tastes really good(though to be honest I order something very simple every time, so I can’t speak for the wider variety) and the amount you get definitely earns the price point and I’ve never once felt ripped off or undercut here. In fact if you get one of the nicer girls she’ll really pile whatever you order on as much as she can while still being able to close the box which is great. My main problems would be how often they manage to run out of Orange Chicken and especially any of the fried sides like egg rolls and such. As much as I enjoy going, I don’t like getting there only to have to wait another 10 minutes for them to cook the food; it’s fast food — Chinese at that, not casual dining, there should be no wait. The staff ranges from terrible and impossible to understand to totally alright. There are one or two ladies who work here who can get angry from very little or at least become annoyed with you quickly, especially if you don’t understand their mumbling broken English. Other employees(also who work the front just like those ones) can be totally a joy though and are fun to interact with any time you come, so it really is just luck of the draw with the worst or the best as the result.

Good if you’re hungry but panda is never that great anyway… I usually go here but really the other pandas in long beach are so much better, just reading the reviews for this place makes me not want to go here anymore. It’s tucked away inside Von’s, usually the ladies are nice but one of them are bitchy when it gets closer to closing. Most of the food is gone by 7 pm so go before definitely.

This place needs to be shut down!!! My husband and I both got food poisoning from this Panda Express, Worst experience of my life!!!(Coming from someone who never gets sick ever!) I can’t believe how many bad reviews this place has gotten let alone how many people are also writing how sick they’ve got from eating this food! Health inspection needs to check this place out ASAP!!!

How do you run out of popular menu items like Orange chicken and Kung Pao? Never been for lunch, but two different occasions this location was out of basically every entrée. Once they run out, they don’t make anymore. It was 7pm. We will never be back to this Panda.

We have been going to this Panda Express for some time now. The older heavy set asian woman is very rude, she rushes you thru your order. When you try to tell her what you want she argues with you and then ends up messing up what you order anyway. If they could replace this lady or keep her away from the public I would gladly change my review…

Not my favorite panda by a long shot. The food here always tastes really old. Id rather drive further away to get superior food. That said I am giving this panda express a bit higher score since the ladies that work here are very sweet and enthusiastic. They are always suggesting various items to me and you can tell they’re passionate about the food they’re serving. Im sure theu get tired of people just ordering orange chicken and broccoli and beef.

This place is horrible… I didn’t even eat the food, I walked up and all the food looked as if it has been sitting there for hours. Do not eat here!

Worst Panda Express I’ve been to. I prefer veggies over the rice and noodle as the side.(Check the nutrition stats and you will see why.) Other locations will actually cook the veggies so they are fresh, not this one. They expect you to be happy with some old, unappetizing options or they will take the broccoli from the broccoli beef entre. I was in last night 40 minutes before closing, they had littlle to choose from, other than orange chicken(check out that nutritiion stats) would not make any thing else. Not all people want to eat vast amounts of fat and low nutritional food! This not the first time I’ve been disappointed– I will not even bother in the future.

This panda express is located inside the VON’s grocery store. Bad tasting food, extremely salty. One of the worst Panda express I’ve been to.

As with a lot of places you have to make them put more food, they be skimppin on your take home. The food is franchised so what do you expect? It tastes like more chemicals than ingredients. I think it’s the last time I let the shrimp get me in there.

Never knew this location was here, but it’s tucked away INSIDE of a VONS grocery store(which is pretty big and nice btw). I love Panda Express. Always, always get my usual: Half/Half, Chicken & Mushrooms, Mandarin Chicken(sauce on top), and either Orange Chicken or Honey Walnut Shrimp depending on how I feel that day. Three stars for this location because I can tell it wasn’t as fresh as other locations are. Maybe because this is inside of a Vons grocery store borderline ghetto N Long Beach and they done get as many customers as a normal Panda Express would. Would I come back here? Yes, because the next closest Panda is like 6 miles away from me when this is .4 miles lol… Just next time I have to check which food looks the freshest. At least right now I’m not throwing up or diahrrea from food poisoning! lol I kid I kid

Typical Panda Express(PE) placed inside a Vons supermarket. What I noticed was price was cheaper than a PE at a nearby mall. Two-entrée meal was $ 5.99 compared to $ 6.49 at a PE in the S Bay Pavillion mall in Carson, CA. Drink was 26 cents cheaper too. Total savings with taxes at this PE was 83 cents. I bought the exact same meal at both locations. Buying a beverage in Vons may save you even more.

Fast, quick, friendly service at this Panda Express inside the Vons supermarket. There’s always a line of customers at most hours of the day thus the food items gets turned over consistently and remains fresh. If you never had Panda before, then, expect greasy Chinese food with heavy thick sauces and either spicy or sweet and sour flavors. Skip the egg roll and soda when they ask. You’re inside a supermarket, there’s much better drink options you can go with.

This is the Panda Express located inside of Vons on Atlantic Ave. I’m not a huge fan of the Panda Express chain to begin with, but since we’re in the middle of moving it was a dinner emergency and we decided to pick up some Chinese fast food here. Since it’s located inside the grocery store, they stop cooking at a certain time, which means they don’t have most the items you want after a certain hour(it was only 7PM though, gah!) and they try to foist off the mountain of chow mein they cooked too much of on you even though you’ve already ordered something else. «You want chow mein? I give you lot of veggie!» No, I’m not trying to be racist, this is literally what they said to me, word for word, when I asked for steamed vegetables and they were out. I opted for the steamed rice instead. I’m used to «suggestive selling» but what I experienced here was pretty extreme! Besides the chow mein, they also pushed a bunch of other items they were obviously trying to get rid of. As for the food itself, the rice was pretty dry and grainy, and the beef broccoli and kung pao chicken were no more than what you’d expect from any Panda Express. The bottom line – If you’re going to go to Panda Express rather than an actual Chinese place, you should expect no more than a corporate fast food chain can offer. But the lack of selection, pushy service, and the clear attempt to use me to get rid of their excess chow mein and egg rolls scores this particular location a clear«never again.»

Not all Panda Express is bad I think but this location is one of the worst I’ve had. The food seemed just junk, I love chinese fast food but I could finish about a quarter of the plate. It was tasteless and flavorless, the orange chicken was too greasy and the noodles just lifeless. Be prepared for this before you fork up your money and time.
