I’ve never had a dish I didn’t thoroughly enjoy from Panvimarn! today they went above and beyond. on my way home from work, sick with the flu and needing some ginger soup… although it’s not a menu item, they whipped some up for me and it did not disappoint! thank you!

Seating arrangements here do not make any sense. It’s a huge place but they thought it was okay to squeeze us in a random booth shoved next to some family I do not mind sitting next to people but who wants to sit that close to a family? The table was tiny and had no space for our food order. The food is okay but I think some reviewers are either being dramatic on how good it is or never had Thai food before. The parking is annoying as well. The service level was not really that phenomenal either. More like took my order and took my plate once I’m done.

Sake sampler and filet beef panang are most delicious! Everything I had was actually scrumptious, so I understand the wait and why people wait. I would have never imagined lakewood would have such a delish Thai restaurant! Its actually pretty«hip» in here and has a bar where patrons actually hang out and socialize. Even though we were here on a busy Friday night, the service was still decent. Through all the madness, the hostess still took a group picture for us. That’s pretty good service… We even had our waters refilled pretty promptly when asked to do so. I’d probably go back on a weeknight and enjoy my panang and sake sampler in peace and quiet!

I loved the margarita I had here! 1st time I’ve had cayenne pepper shaken into my drink; the muddled pineapple complimented it perfectly. The décor of the place gave it an upscale feel. The food was priced very reasonable similar to most Thai restaurants. I had the duck with curry & placed a to go order for the spicy eggplant with pork; both of which I enjoyed. This place had a nice selection of entrees to choose from & many interesting alcoholic beverages.

Came with my wife too try it, both huge thai food fans and train muay thai my whole life love the Thai culture. But wow forget customer service here, so rude and unprofessional. My wife asked if we could get a bigger table or take plates away cause the table was too crowded and the waitress just ignored us. Took them 15 min to see are waiter and it was during the down time. The food was ok nothing special am sorry if I wanted nice looking plates I go fine dinning and not just a plate with two pieces of chicken and just onion. Am sorry we won’t be coming back here.

Nice ambiance and courteous staff. The food that I ordered«mild» was unbelievably spicy. We had the eggplant & bellflower Blvd, both tasty dishes. I wish I could have enjoyed them more. We will go back & give them a second chance.

By far, the best Thai food near the area. The first time I came here with my boyfriend we ordered their filet mignon panang curry and their pad-see-ew. The curry was amazing, creamy and the meat just fell right off my fork when I tried to pick it up because it was so tender. Pad-see-ew was tasty as well. The only thing I’d complain about this place was that the service was pretty slow and the lighting was terrible. I could barely see anything and we came here in afternoon when the sun was out and the day was bright. We were sitting upstairs so maybe there wasn’t much light on the 2nd floor. Either way, this will definitely be our go-to Thai restaurant from here on out. Don’t mind if I eat my food in the dark anyways, as long as it’s delectable.

If you like Thai food, you definitely have to visit this place. Panvimarn is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. Restaurant is pretty spacious. The design is nice and elegant. It has a clean and relaxing ambience. Parking is limited though especially when it’s busy, but you can always find street parking. I’m not gonna go into much details about the food. All I’m gonna say is, everything I’ve tried so far is up to far. They’re all so good! My favorite Thai dish is panang and they definitely have a competitive one. It’s almost too good actually – a definite must try. Price is a little high. Well, for the taste and quantity of food, it’s very reasonable. You’d have to be willing to pay for quality food. Service is decent to good. Not always the fastest, but they are attentive and friendly.

One of the most delicious Thai food spots in LA. The restaurant’s ambience is great for a date or just a great time to relax and enjoy some sophisticated culture without the hassle of traffic. This place is nestled in the cusp of Lakewood and Long Beach which makes it fairly easy to get to. The one thing that I really enjoy is that each time we’ve gone, the food quality and tastes remain consistent. I simply love their salads and curry dishes. Everything tastes great and I can appreciate the extra attention they take to create a dish that appeals to the eye. Stop by and enjoy, trust me it’s worth your time.

Pretty awesome place overall. It’s not as Thai as I thought I was. It did not have Khao Soi. All of the soup based noodle dishes were made of the sour coconut milk instead of sweet. Good place for a date. It’s classy but the price does not break the bank or wallet at all. When dawn breaks, the decorations go away and the projectors come out to give the bottom floor a sports bar feel. But it retains its classy feel if you move to the top of the restaurant. Everything upstairs has this cozy vibe and feels distanced from downstairs. Very cool restaurant. The experience I had would attribute 4 star review, since the server miscommunicated and told me the dish I was ordering would come as a single born of soup. But it did not, I got the noodles, veggies and the soup all separated and I had to ask for an additional bowl to mix it all. But the spicy pad Thai was an amazing dish. I was really happy with that and shared with my companion and managed to have a good experience overall.

I’ve been wanting to go to this place since it’s right near work. Came here twice, and the food is always good and the prices are reasonable. The Panvimarn Delight is exceptional cause you can try four of there most popular appetizers: chicken sa-te, spring rolls, shrimp blanket, and fried wonton with peanut sauce. Also got the chicken teriyaki and fried rice which was surprisingly good. Only giving this place 4⁄5 stars cause the manager wasn’t intuitive with his guests, and kept forgetting to take our order. He even forgot to give us our sides of rice, and charged us. I probably won’t be come back since they need to improve on customer service skills. Next time I will just order take out from now on.

A fancy Thai restaurant with good prices and yummy food! This restaurant is huge, with an upstairs dining area. The décor sets this place up to be a great date night spot! It could seriously be a lounge, with the dim lighting, bar and big chandelier. Our group did family style, which is definitely a must for Thai food. We ordered the pad Thai, green curry, spicy jungle noodles, crab fried rice, yellow veggie curry and papaya salad. The spicy jungle noddles were my favorite of the night! Be warned, it’s pretty spicy! All our dishes were flavorful and fresh and I recommend all of them.

This place is Fantastic! We had a great experience: good service, excellent food and all at a great price. We had the Pad Thai special, the hot stuff(basil) plate and the sampler plate. All scrumptious!

This place is amazing! First off the environment is very nice and serene. The decorations and chandelier makes the restaurant look even nicer. They also have sushi here so I ordered uni sashimi. Out comes 9 – 10 pieces of uni! I love it! It is so fresh and the wasabi dipping sauce they give you is awesome! Wisely got the Beef Sa-te, BOMB! Wisely also ordered Panvimarn fried rice and I got the spicy jungle noodle. Both were not too spicy but has a kick to it! The rice was cooked to perfection and the beef in both dishes were tender and juicy rather than dry. The Thai tea is really good too! Mango with sticky rice has great presentation. Portions are good and the service is great! Wisely loves their utensils because it’s heavy and helps you eat like you mean it! I will definitely come back and I suggest you to come try it too!

This is my dad’s go-to place, and probably mine too. We’ve celebrated his birthday 3 times here. Make sure you let them know, there’s free ice cream for the celebrant =) The ambiance is great, nothing too fancy-schmancy, and that’s how my dad likes it. My mom is also a picky eater, but she enjoys the food here as well. Service is always attentive enough, we are always checked on, and our water glasses are never empty. Though we deviate from our regular entrees once in a while, we ALWAYS get the soft shell crab curry and crying tiger(rib-eye). The eggplant dish(which I order in every Thai place) is somehow not as good here, which makes it somewhat disappointing. We’ve also tried the duck, which my husband was a big fan of, the soft shell crab and crying tiger are THE items for me. Always make a reservation, this place can be packed, even on a Tuesday night. Parking is almost never easy, and we’ve always come here before 6PM. It appears that they are expanding, which is a good thing! Maybe they can expand the parking too?

THEGOOD — Chic interior — Attentive staff — Delicious pork larb — Nice silverware THEBADANDTHEUGLY — Dry overcooked chicken in the yellow curry — Tight side-by-side tables that make you censor topics :-) — Pricey — Nasty-acidic smelling restroom with no paper towels SPOILER — Dry chicken is almost a deal breaker, but the filthy, poorly-supplied restroom made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen.
