Went on a Saturday the 3 stars for the bartender and the lone coast tangerine wheat beer the bartender recommended! It is my new favorite. The drag show um not so much the host was very rude to a girl and I as a lesbian get that sometimes they are joking but not all people can handle that so the drag host just went too far it killed the mood after!

Fabulous find thanks to Groupon. Great cocktails and excellent food. We had the shrimp, short ribs and flat iron steak. All 3 were amazing. Elliot our server was great. Super great experience.

Found my new Tuesday night dinner spot. Had the asada tacos and Cadillac margarita from Elliott and everything was perfect. Thank you for the recommendation about the Short Rib Tacos, Ill be back for them. This is my favorite restaurant in the area. The food is ALWAYS great and high quality. Great drink specials and a fun environment.

Came to this little spot for the first time on New Year’s Eve. The people and the energy were great, the staff was extremely attentive and on top of everything even though it was very busy. The drinks were creative and good. My girlfriend and I shared the jalapeño Mac and cheese and the pulled pork sandwich, both were awesome, can’t wait to try more.

I came here for New Years to enjoy their 3 course meal option! So amazing & the service was attentive and friendly. Not to mention, the venue looks like an nostalgic craftsman house. So cute. I came back for their regular menu and had the jalapeño Mac and cheese. I also had their Na’leans shrimp dish and it was yummy. Next trip back should be equally as delicious.

I love this place! It’s a great stop on the Broadway Bar Strip that offers a vast choice of libations and a great meal! If you’re in for a bite at the restaurant, you’ll get the best service and a lot of laughs from Elliot– he’s awesome!

This place is fantastic! I’ve been in a few times and every time was great so I had to write a review! I just came in and was helped by a guy named John and he was absolutely amazing! So friendly and knowledgable and he picked the MOSTPERFECT drinks for me and my friends. It’s a great venue, I hate feeling crowded and even though there was a bunch of people, it felt open and I love it! Definitely perfect for a night out with a big group of friends or even date night!

A restaurant with good tequila will always have my heart, today it belongs to the paradise! I’m here right now at the bar working from«home» and enjoying a great tequila old fashioned made by John. Im glad the«gayborhood» is getting on top of the cocktail game, its so much closer to home and the staff is lovely. Did i mention the food? fantastic. I want to bathe in the burgundy chicken that gravy is so damn good ^_^ putting my inner fatty aside I have never been disappointed with any dish I’ve ordered, the wait can be a bit longer than most places, but i assure you its worth it!

I was recently visiting my brother in Long Beach and he took me to Paradise for dinner(one of his favorites). Everything about it was fantastic! The staff was friendly and attentive and the manager, John, was delightful. I ordered the Kale salad, which was delicious. The Cool as a Cucumber Martini is also a MUST. It’s one of the best cocktails I’ve had! Great atmosphere and vibe, and so much fun!

I recently had a fun wine /appetizer party for my clients and friends in December at Paradise. They recently upgraded the décor to a more rustic /chic vibe that is really becoming of the historic building. The wait staff was super friendly and professional. They allowed me to put together several tables, suggested their favorite apps and make sure our drinks came out quickly. We did a smörgåsbord of appetizers, my favorites were the nachos and asparagus, but they were all delicious. The music volume was perfect for chatting and mingling. Around 10pm the vibe turned a bit more into a party atmosphere. We all hit the bar area for dancing and had a blast with the mixed crowd. Our group was super diverse(20s, 30s, 40s) and we all felt comfortable and had a great time. I will definitely be back soon:)

My college besties and I decided to come and celebrate here for New Year’s Eve. It was perfect and we definitely made a great decision. There’s a bar area and another more restaurant feel type area. The full course that night was amazing. Their ahi tuna is delectable, filet mignon is perfect(just wish they served us a little bit more of it ;) and their caramalized bananas was just mouthwatering!!! They also had amazing drinks. I especially LOVE the cucumber martini made by one of the managers, John. He was also very friendly and attentive. All in all, it was a great night. We joined the crowd at the bar by the time count down started and ended the night with champagne. Happy New Years!!!

I went to Paradise YEARS ago when I was 21, and had a great time. Just went the other night, to see that it’s gotten even better. The food was great: burger and onion rings, and grilled cheese with tomato bisque. My partner had one of the new beers on tap that was recommended by the manager, and he loved it. The bartender was very attentive and warm, and even made sure to ask us if we wanted dessert. I never do, but my husband is crazy about sweets, so we ordered this big cookie thing… I wish I had that cookie right now. So good. Anyway, I love the venue, love the food, love ALL the staff, and it’s one of the few places you can get a live piano player. Absolutely RECOMMENDED.

I am basing my review on my experience tonight… I LOVE the piano guy, Rob, who plays on the weekends and I have had more positive experiences in the past, but this experience was so egregious that the rating will be so reflected.(I reserve the right to come back and have a positive experience in the future) So, came in with my sister and sat down for a drink and something to eat in the bar. A friend of my sister’s bought the drinks, and so that was covered. The waiter(young guy with a shaved head on the sides and small pony tail) ignored us to the point I had to approach him for a menu. He tossed the menu on the table and flounced off, never to return. I tried to catch his eye on several occasions, but he was flirting with regulars, standing in the restaurant section and never(EVER) even considered coming back to find out if we wanted to order. We got up and left, without finishing our drinks and I left him message on a napkin…“Waiter — you sucked tonight“ I would have complained to a manger, but there was no manager on site. If I go back, it will only be for Rob — the awesome piano guy!

I have two experiences here, both of which were great. The first time was for dinner and I ordered the western burger. The burger was cooked perfectly and was overall really really good. I also got the cucumber martini, which is probably one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. If you try nothing else get that. Really good mixture of sweetness and a slight spicyness to it. My second time here was on New Years for 2015. We had the ahi appetizer which was really good. For the main course we had the filet mignon and was amazingly good. Ordered it med rare and it came out perfectly cooked and tasted great. For dessert we had the fried bananas with ice cream and again it was fantastic. Overall, I would def suggest this place for dinner time as both times I’ve been were fantastic.

Any preconceived thoughts of simplicity in their menu are soon squashed! A first time try for me and the Boyf & we were in awe. From the first point of service, you will be impressed. We shared a succulent Paradise Burger, enormous onion rings and a flavorful Cesar Salad. Topped it all off with the Crème Brûlée. A definite destination to explore. Wait staff exhibited great customer service. Don’t forget the specialty libations to accompany your meal along with the live performance.

I love this place! Everybody is always so friendly! The staff is a riot. i snuck and put a condom on the cucumber on the bar last time I visited. I wish all the bars on Broadway tried as hard to be clean and fun to stop by. Every time I go they have something exciting going on. I don’t know why we ever go anywhere else. The drinks are more than the dives but they are made right and put in clean glasses. Also the bathroom is clean. That shouldn’t even need to be said but if you have ever partied on Broadway you know what I am talking about. One down the street has a peep hole in the door. Yuck! Come play at the Paradise bar. Awesome smoking area too! The food is first rate too!

I found myself here after trying out the Broadway Cocktail Lounge and Mineshaft. I was looking for a more sit-down-dinner type place, and this was the better option! Unfortunately, I missed the live piano music they had playing earlier in the evening. By the time I got there, they were setting up for a dance floor to be used later that night. We got a drink at the bar from a very nice bartender, too! I ate the veggie panini and my boyfriend had something else(I can’t remember what it was). Neither of us liked our meal, but we enjoyed hanging out in the restaurant nonetheless. Because we enjoyed our time together, the friendly bartender, and the fact that this seems to be the only sit down type option in the«gay ghetto», I give a 4-star. If this had been in WeHo, I would have rated differently.

Paradise was(is) a state of supreme happiness — fun even. Just the antidote after learning a friend passed away and the flight to return to home, days away — Paradise was a place with many friendly faces; incredible vocal talents of a Miss Karen Cobb. Strong drinks served up by the gentle Billy Joe(no doubt a New Englander) and the likable hostess Nicki — who can also sing like Miss Carrie Underwood. For a few hours, with my brother by my side, I forgot my troubles and smiled, laughed as I remembered my childhood & lifelong friend, Wanda. It was 80’s night on the mic — and many of our class & prom songs were performed. Paradise just hit the spot. The food, as explained by the charming Josh was the skill and under the skillet of a two-week tenured Chef. The five ice-cold shrimp($ 9) were tender and plump — a nice cocktail and menu introduction. Another starter was a mostly red, beet salad($ 10) & it was just okay: The beets were over cooked or package-prepared — the frisée & arugula were packaged, but the avocado and creamy cider vinaigrette saved the salad. The Grilled asparagus side were three shoots, halved and plated as if on a perpendicular plane: And glistening with balsamic. They were too overcooked. We did not take the charming Josh’s recommendation and order the BBQ Short Rib Sandwich($ 13) due the blue cheese coleslaw and bread — but I trust his judgement. His other suggestion was the New Orleans Style Shrimp($ 17) which are sautéed and tossed in New Orleans BBQ sauce served over garlic mash potatoes. Whoa, the calories. We politely passed and ordered up other cocktails. Again, Billy Joe has a good pour, and is genuinely sweet., especially Nicki. The food, appetizer and salad — were good, but the fun was contagious. It wasn’t the Paradise I have envisioned but it was A okay. But the people in this Paradise were pleasant & accommodating.

Food was yummy, a little light on flavor but the salsa was bomb and a little salt fixed it. My friend ordered the breakfast burrito and I ordered the California Benedict … I’ll probably be back for the same thing ! The breakfast burrito might want to add some chipotle or spicy cheese sauce, maybe a more flavored bacon but it was still good. Drinks were on point. I had vodka water and he had vodka tonic. The prices were fair and the drinks were delicious. I will certainly be back again and again. Maybe when it’s the night time bar but I think midnight is a little early to close hence the for starts … I dont usually show up until 11 !!!
