I’ve been getting my hair cut by Liliane for 9 years now. A repeat customer for that long says it all. I have naturally wavy/​curly hair so I have to be selective about my stylist because not everyone knows how to cut curly hair so that the curls lay right. Liliane brings out the best in my curl. As I’m sure others have done, sometimes we get overzealous and ask for more than we think we do. Liliane’s approach always does me well, her suggestions are usually right, to just do a little here or a little there so that I’m not regretful when I walk out the door.
Salon Indah is a cute little salon that’s comfortable, has good music playing to fill the atmosphere and the environment smells good! Just off 2^nd street close and convenient to home.

Great place to relax and have your hair cut or styled. It’s located just off 2^nd Street. Ask for Jean-​Marie. She is very talented with everything from a buzz cut to full color.

I had Donna apply the «permanent» mascara & have an appointment to get a 2^nd application. Love it & it’s a good value. Donna has an extensive background in make up & shares all sorts of tips.

My cut-​lady, Jeannie Garcia, moved here from Second Street Beauty. What a great place — just a little off the beaten path and very organic/​comfortable.
Jeannie gives a great cut. Some of the hairdressers on Second Street get their hair cut here, which is a great compliment to here. Versus hairdressers that do what they want or cut too much, she will listen to what you want and deliver. Very relaxing, nice head massage and great craft.

Love the gentle amonia free hair color product that Nadine used on my hair.
She did a really great job of color matching and covering my grey roots. Enjoyed sangria while my hair processed. Found out that she does lip waxing too, so I’ll try that next time.
I’ll definitely be a repeat customer!

This is a great little non-​pretentious salon just off the beaten path of Second Street. It’s such a refreshing change from the plethora of other uptight salons with attitude. Jean Marie is fabulous: totally low-​key and gives a great cut and head massage. Love the shampoo bowls with the foot rest that pops up like a recliner (SO MUCH more comfortable … why doesn’t every salon have that?). Also, they are open pretty much seven days a week and are very flexible and open with scheduling morning, afternoon and evening.

Love the place. Jeanne Marie gives a great cut and has a great skill for giving the customer a great look. Every time she gives me a haircut, I leave very happy.

Love Salon Indah but my gal Emma has moved and I simply must follow her! She is now over at Sage Salon on 4^th St.

Emma has left the building! It’s not that the Salon is all that bad… But Emma was definitely the young vibrant contemporary thing that the Salon had going for it. Since it was Emma’s service that was the reason for my previous 5 star I felt like I needed to update. I’ll be following her to her new location. Still in Long Beach just up the road on 4^th @ Sage. And an added bonus… They have their own parking lot. Which means no more $ 50 parking tickets on top of the cost of my service :)

I have to say im super particular about my hair. im very picky and indecisive when making drastic changes but this place has been nothing but great. let me start by saying this review is long over due. I first came in here about a year ago when a friend recommended Emma to me and she has been the best. Ive never been to the same salon more than once but because of her I will keep comming back.
She is so great and really helps in making life changing decisions (I take my hair very seriously). she really does take care of me everytime and I love her for that. she does an amazing color job and is great at styling hair. will be coming back very soon.

To start, this salon is so cute and cozy!
I’ve been to Emma for my last three hair cuts, and must mention I NEVER go to the same hair stylist (I’m usually finding cheap Groupons and hopping around). I love her. She is very cool, bubbly, and genuine, like having a good friend cut your hair. You should also know that she gives a mini head massage during your hair washing… it doesn’t get better than that!
My first cut was just a trim for my long hair and she styled it beautifully. Second time, I opted for the long bob (cut off about 7 inches to just above my shoulders) and I loved it. Third time I wanted something edgier and went for a bob just at my chin. Emma is super detail oriented and will make it absolutely perfect — just the way you want it. Usually I bring a picture to my stylist… but does the finished product look like my picture? NO. If you take it to Emma? YES, if not better. After cutting and drying, she goes back and perfects the edges to makes sure it lays nicely.
Basically, she knows what she is doing and she knows what will work best for you. Don’t forget to take a catwalk down Second Street to show it off when you’re done!

I sent my husband there with my son, he asked for the Same style in shorter.
When I went to pick him up, his hair was as short as it gets, in a totally different style.
I am so mad I do not recommend that place to anyone.

Emma at salon indah has helped me get a whole new look!!! She chopped off nearly 8 inches of my hair, turning it into a super cute and edgy bob!!! I love it and get endless comments on my new cut! :). Thanks Emma I will definitely be coming back! :)

I have been going to salon indah for years. Charlene always does an amazing job on my hair. I have thick, frizzy and premature gray hair. Charlene has taken her time to do my hair right. She made sure she has the right products to cover my tough gray hair. When I leave I look great. My hair is died perfectly, I need to get my hair done every three weeks and salon indah is perfect because they are also priced really well. Other salons have charged me well over $ 100 each time. Salon indah is always well below $ 100.00.

Emma is amazing! I’ve gone to plenty of places and I’ve had plenty of hairdressers but no one like Emma. She is completely honest with you, knows her colors, and will help you select the right shade for you. I went with pictures (which is always a good idea) and she completely matched my expectations! Great location, sweet staff, and good prices!

I go to Emma, and she is excellent!
Very friendly, and knows what she is doing with the scissors. She always makes sure I look the best when I am leaving the salon.
She also offers free sideburn trims in between cuts.
Often the salon will offer free champagne or sangria.

I have been going to Charlene for years now, as have other friends. I am amazed at how often people compliment my hair cut, even strangers who I happen to fall into conversation with. Charlene is an excellent and very skillful stylist and also a savvy business owner. The salon is down to earth but cutting edge. I’m one of those people who hate being worked on, and yet I look forward to going in once a month or so. I feel welcomed and cared for in the most genuine way. Charlene and her staff are just the best!
