I enjoyed one of the best meals in recent times at Saverios last night. A snowy winter’s day was warmed by not only the ambiance and energy of the crowd but the fantastic service and excellent food! The four of us were seated right away and very quickly, the drink orders were taken. The menu is creative with fresh pasta always a highlight to the selections. I had the Pasta Mignon which is a fresh pasta dish with beef filet, smoky bacon, wild mushrooms in a rich and extremely flavorful wine reduction. It was one of the most delicious pasta dishes that I have had in a very long time. My companions all complimented their entrees as well; every last bit of deliciousness was gone by the end of our dining experience! We enjoyed every well-prepared and well-portioned meal. Many of last night’s patrons were returning diners who loved and still mourn the loss of head chef and artistic creator, Saverio Bosco. But he left a legacy with his family who will keep his culinary spirit alive in the Long Beach Restaurant scene. Sal is watching from above and inspiring his loved ones to continue to provide an excellent and memorable restaurant experience. I look forward to enjoying Saverios for years to come!

The service was very poor. They started with one loaf of bread for six adults. One of the appetizers ordered was tomato and mozzarella. Instead we got a caprese pasta dish. Entrees were ordered and one was missing. They said two minutes. Everyone was finished eating and one person had not gotten her meal. It was nice they offered a round of drinks, but the dish should’ve been taken off. One person had no fork for the duration of the meal. The bill was over 200 dollars. For 12 for house wine and that price for dinner, it should be an enjoyable experience.

I have heard good things about this restaurant. So my good friend and I tried it. We were seated quickly, the hostess was very pleasant. Unfortunately past that it wasn’t as great. It took the restaurant 15 – 20 mins to realize there was no server for our table. Finally Alyssa was asked to come over and serve us. She took our drink order and since we were there for a while our food order as well. Service was very slow. Food was good. For a meal that should have taken about an hour took over two hours. Perhaps it was an off night(I will try it again). However we were not very happy. Pros: Food was good. The Mozzarella Encarozza was excellent(A little cold but good) Shrimp Zuchinni Linguini was good. The plate could have used a little green but good. The sauce tasted like tomatoes. Cavatelli Pollo Pesto. Also very good. Pasta was cooked properly. Plate looked good Cannoli Crumb Cake. Nearly perfect. The crumb part was tasty and buttery. The cannoli cream was a little old but still tasty. Cons Asparagus Gratin This could have been good but was cold when it arrived. As if it was sitting under the warming light for a while. Floors were greasy near the bathroom and carpet a little dirty. The service was terrible. IT took forever to get our sever over, our water was rarely refilled, food took way to long to come out. BY the time it was out it was cold or sitting under the heat lamp. While we were eating(fork to mouth) the server came over and asked us if we were done!(Not appropriate). I noted my issues on my receipt(I am not just some random Unilocaler who is faceless) in hopes that our server will do a better job next time. We will see what happens next time. Maybe it was an off night.

The food was delicious; we went for an expected brunch but they are not serving brunch until high season comes back around. We ordered out of the dinner menu; EGGPLANTVINCHI was awesome and it was split between the two of us. The pasta bolognese is also recommended. Keep up the good work Saverio’s.

Been there twice. Best meatballs ive had in years, great meat blend, stuffed with cheese. Decent Chicken Parm, but cutlet soggy both times otherwise it would be excellent chicken parm. Sauce is outstanding. Service is good, ambiance is excellent. Good wines.

We returned again and had another great meal. Everything was fabulous. From the vino to the baked clams, salad, and finally veal chop. My wife had the shrimp zucchini linguini and she was so happy. The cappuccino was in a soup bowl sized mug and was delicious. We will return over and over again.

We went during the week and it wasn’t crowded so we got a seat right away. Waitress was very nice. Nice restaurant. I had Riceballs Siciliano for apptz. it was good but not great. My pasta dish was very tasty and my bf had salmon and he said it was good as well. But they could improve on the bread dish. come on it’s italian… you must get some fresh delicious bread so we can dip it into the sauce! lol. Dessert… we had tiramisu, it was good but the Cannoli crumb cake was the clear winner. it is a MUSTHAVE!!! it was delicious. i left there knowing i’m going back again another night for that cannoli cake! overall. a nice experience.

I went here for an early dinner today for Father’s Day. We were immediately seated at a round table for our party of five. Our waitress(Gerry) came over right away and took our drink orders. Gerry brought over warm bread and quickly replaced it with a new loaf when we finished the first. We ordered chicken parmigiana(excellent), the spaghetti melanzane which I substituted rigatoni for(fabulous tasted homemade!), the caprese pasta(delicious), and lasagna(excellent with lots of sausage and cheese). The only dud of the group was my father’s order of gnocchi. My dad made a special request for the gnocchi to be over cooked, but there must have been a mix up in the kitchen because when it came out it was extremely under cooked. Gerry was very helpful and replaced his meal for another lasagna, which came out very quickly and to his satisfaction. All in all it was a great meal, great company, and great ambiance, but a little pricey considering the area. I would suggest going here and support a great local restaurant.

It took a few tries, but I feel like Spiaggia finally hit its stride. Solid Italian food, presented nicely, and with good service. Nice wines by the glass, too. Definitely try the nonna’s special or whatever it’s called(sauce, balls, sausage, braciole, etc.), the rice balls, and the coconut shrimp salad(surprisingly good). Prices aren’t too steep, though like just about every place in Long Beach, the portions are 3x larger than they need to be. Went one Saturday night and the music was nice but way too loud. They had good intentions though. Hope this place sticks around.

Spiaggia does NOT disappoint! This is one of my favorite restaurants on Long Island. The food is outstanding, the service is friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is trendy, fun and great for a special night out. Every single dish on the menu sounds mouth-wateringly delicious and I cannot wait to try them all. The homemade pasta bolognese, Pops pasta with ricotta stuffed meatballs, salmon — everything I’ve tried has been excellent. I was recently there with family to celebrate a special occasion and the owner of the restaurant was kind enough to come over to our table, introduce himself, and thank us for choosing his restaurant for our night out. He then proceeded to bring out a bottle of champagne for us to toast with! Great touch! The other fantastic thing about Spiaggia is their live music on the weekends. It adds a special touch that you don’t find at most restaurants. You must try this place if you’re in the mood for a fun night out with fantastic Italian food!

Not recommended. Needs improvement. Upon walking in, I definitely saw the potential for a great dinner and then I got disappointed. Service was ok — the waitress might have been overwhelmed because the place had just opened but she was very nice. The food was hit or miss. We got the calamari appetizer which was very good and set our expectations higher for what was to come. The baked clams were decent at best(and tiny). For entrees, the three of us got: 1) Stuffed manicotti… the cheese just wasn’t right. They should have used something heavier like a mozzarella(it’s an italian dish, you need to know there’s cheese in there) 2) Veal and mushrooms: the dish was plain, nothing creative or exciting about it but my friend said it was good(and heavy) 3) Bronzino: BAD. I love this fish and I have never seen anyone bread it because it’s great on it’s own. It was heavily breaded with a «polenta bread crumb» …and this was the version off of the healthy menu so why not grill it. After peeling back the thick layer of breading, it had no seasoning left but that was still better than what I was served. For dessert the cannoli was very good and the wine list was pretty great. Pricing was a little high. I wouldn’t recommend or go back again as no one that I was with enjoyed their food too much.
