Sea Breeze Motel

If I could I wouldn’t give this facility any stars at all. First the only reason I needed a room for only myself was because I was too tired to drive all the way home to the city of industry and I work down the street from this location. When I walked in, I had my work uniform and a jacket with my hood on my head because it was cold outside. The man at the front desk was very rude. I didn’t pay it any mind, I politely asked if there were any vacant rooms and the man said yes so I asked the nightly rate, he stated it was $ 70. I gave him my I.d. and took my money out without him asking. He pinched his neck and held it for a very long time staring at my id and at his computer, as if he was looking for an excuse not to rent to me. He asked me if I smoked, and I answered honestly and said yes but only cigarettes and in my car. He immediately proceeded to give me back my id and said that he won’t rent to me because he only has non-​smoking rooms and began walking away. I told him that I wouldn’t smoke in the room but he continued to walk away. I held the bell for him to come back and he stood in the door way that lead to his apartment and stared at me as if he wanted to attack me and I kept holding the bell asking for him to explain why he wouldn’t rent a room to me. I let go of the bell after realizing he was just going to stare and not come back. During all of this I still stayed polite but I was deeply irritated and tired from a hard day of working with rude people. He treated me as if I was a past tenant that destroyed the room. I was even willing to pay a deposit or put my card on file for his sense of security. After he walked away I stood in the lobby for 10 minutes ringing the bell slightly every 2 minutes or so. He came back into the lobby and I asked him «Sir I understand that you have the right to refuse service, but could you please explain to me specifically why you will not rent to me.» He told me, «go ahead and call the police, I don’t care call the police.» I stated that I said nothing about calling the police I would just like to know why you won’t rent a room to me. He said leave now and walked away again. Now I became angry and held the bell again for 2 minutes straight. I called the office and he picked up and then hung up on me. I called again and he answered and I asked can I please have your number to corporate. He said that there is no corporate, I asked for the number to his supervisor he said that he doesn’t have any of that information and hung up. I rang the bell one last time and the wife came out. At this point I have been at the front desk for 30 minutes. The lady said «What do you want?» I stated that I would like the number to her corporate. She said something to the extinct that this is the right number and when I said I’m sorry what was that she would say huh. I repeated my self three times and each time she kept talking over me and it kind of sounded as if she was mocking me. She said that she doesn’t know when the manager would be in so I informed her starting in the morning I will be calling the office at every hour to try and talk to their supervisor and left. I wouldn’t advice going to this motel just off of the basis that their customer service is ridiculously horrible and nasty for no reason at all. I believe in businesses being able to use the fact that they can refuse service to anyone but not being able to properly explain why you are refusing this service is outrageous.

Large rooms, clean sheets, flat screen tv, clean bathroom and affordable price. The best thing is that it’s quiet and no crackhead knocking on doors to borrow things. The only downfall is that it’s in the cut and the street is always busy.
