Had a chance to visit this place on May 27, 2016& it was awesome! We had reservations for 12& only 8 made it thru, The food was pretty good we had Cajun fries which were bomb but the nachos were not so good, I think that can improve! Our waiter Zac was super awesome he presented himself to us & was very polite & attentive to our needs he also took the time to explain how everything runs such as the request on the piano & etc… I will most definitely be coming back again had a great time !!

Can’t believe how bad these musician are. I wonder if they listen to themself back? They follow the policy and procedure manual for cheesey piano bar music to a tee… Pick another place to go.

Pianists were not entertaining. They did not take suggestions, unless they wanted to play them. Food was mediocre. Drinks were expensive. Staff was impolite. Bouncers liked shoving people. Management couldn’t care less about feedback. Second chance I’ve given this bar. Same result twice. Never coming back. I advise you don’t either.

Let me save you $ 10 and your evening. Don’t come here. The vocals/piantists/guitar players are good but not THAT good. Not good enough to the point where I’d apply to be a bar singer. The people that frequent Sgt. Pepper’s are(insert wide eyed emoji). I will never ever be back. Everrrrrrrrr. Drinks are expensive, employees all have attitude. Only positive thing I can say about the place is that they pick up your drink the second you’re done. Or even before you’re done. While you’re still sipping.

Great musicians terrible service. Service can’t remember who ordered what and be prepared to wait 45+ minutes for drinks. If you order at the bar be assertive, the bartenders don’t realize they work for tips.

From the moment we walked in to the performance by Martha and Ronnie, our expectations were exceeded. The service is phenomenal here. Tanya was our server and she was our first impression of this place. After chatting with her before the show started, we already loved it. This was our first time at a piano bar and we had an absolute blast! Martha and Ronnie are incredibly talented and hilarious. I wish we lived closer so we could come more often. My only suggestion is to have a few drinks before you get there because the $ 28 fish bowl drink(supposedly for four people) did nothing to two of us. Although it was very tasty, I was shocked that I felt nothing after drinking it. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience.

I came here for a friend’s birthday and I have to say it was a cool place to hang out and have fun. Food: Honestly nothing special. It was good munching food but I wouldn’t pay much attention to it. The Sgt Pepper’s sampler was alright. The array of options was nice with skewers and calamari. The calamari was spicy which I liked a lot. Drinks: Wow… I expected the amount of drinks I drank would get me drunk. I was barely buzzed for an hour. The Blue Raspberry Fishbowl seemed like a great deal for about 6 people to share. There was a lot of ice. It tasted like Sprite and Fruit punch mixed together. None of us tasted the alcohol. When we asked the waiter how much alcohol should be in here he told us 4 shots of vodka. That’s really nothing when you’re comparing the size of this thing. The Sweet Tart was good and sweet but again no alcohol content. The only thing that could have done damage to be was the Liquid Cocaine so I recommend getting 2 of those to get yourself started. The entertainment was fun and interactive. The pianist were so entertaining and really gets the audience going. Money really does talk when requesting a song. My friend put down $ 5 to hear a song and he never got his request. Lame.

The piano players know how to play to the crowd. They are funny and spirited. And make good tips As they cater to b-day bashes– where you roast the b-day girl– in this case Mash-ly– was Ashley, slowly getting smashed with their fish bowl sized drinks Get here early– it was packed @ 9 pm on a fri– as seating is limited and beers are cheap $ 6 stella artois — the talent is why we’re here– funny and versatile. They do a ton of 80’s and 90’s hits. Besides the electronic pianos, they have a bass and drum kit — when they need to kick it up a notch.

I read some of the reviews and I guess everyone has their own opinion. I personally enjoyed this place, dueling pianos was cool but one of the pianist was rocking some R Kelly, Snoop and Tupac, very very cool. Another pianist was rocking some Arrow Smith and Metallica(what!!). Drinks were good, good was basic but our server, THEBEST!!! I think his name was Patrick/Pat maybe, anyway the coolest server always making sure our drinks were filled. I’ll most likely be back, I had fun!

My boyfriend and friends brought me here as a surprise, thinking it’d be a fun way to spend my birthday. Yeah, not so much. The food was lackluster, service was passable, but I couldn’t get past the despicable sense of humor of one of the pianists, which equates lewd, and frankly, hateful insults against women with comedy. I left in tears, feeling violated. Worst birthday ever. Never again. Get it together.

Saturday night had a damn great time!!! Music and comedians were awesome !! You can literally suggest any song, and they play it sooooo well! My favorite is when Straight Outta Compton was up, and OMG they kiiiillllled it! LMAO! Service was excellent, food even better, and bar selection was top notch! tips: Make a reservation to ensure you get the best seats. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the bill… a little pricy, but worth the good time in the end.

I went here for my birthday last night and was pleasantly happy with everything up to one point. I ended up leaving really upset with this place and am now compelled to write something seeing as I’m still fuming the morning after. The food, service, and music exceeded expectations, but what killed it for me was how blatantly offensive against women one of the singers was throughout the night. As a woman celebrating her birthday, I thought it was really rude and unbelievably wrong to say the things that he was saying. There are other comments about the songs being raunchy and even that is offensive to a point, but his comments during the end of the night took his joking into a clearly defined sexist area. Not one person said or did anything to stop him. I went up and did something stupid(and I regret not just standing up and telling him to stop), but what I did only made it clear he was wrong to some people. This lead to some women paying the other pianist, who is a woman, to play women empowerment songs for the first attempt at «duel» all night. What this made me think was why should we have to pay to get a man to stop being a sexist pig? Then, why would a guy throw him more money in support of his outdated way of thinking? I wish this place was different. I would totally love to go again if they decided to join modern times where we should be moving away from being ignorant and hating on people for no reason. I’ve been to other places like this in different cities so I know it’s possible to play a piano and not be a sexist jerk. Thanks for trying to ruin my birthday.

I’m all about new experiences and since I’d never been to a dueling piano bar before, going with my cousin and her bachelorette group was the perfect opportunity. However, if you’re thinking about splurging and forking over $ 35 for a «bachelorette package,» I suggest you don’t, because all it really includes is a bottle of cheap champagne and some confetti and ribbons haphazardly thrown across the table. I believe it did include admission for at least some of us, but I would double check on that. Bar food is expensive and mediocre at best. The only thing I remember ordering were the fried vegetables which were OK. The dueling piano guys are entertaining and some of their songs are pretty raunchy, but they tend to play whatever they want unless you tip them heavily. Even then they’ll play your request for only 30 seconds or so. Overall, a fun one-time experience due to the company I was with, but I definitely feel no need to go here again.

Came here for a friends birthday and as I was walking in they said they had a $ 10 admission(not cool for a piano bar). Place was a decent size, servers weren’t too bad on getting drinks and taking orders. Ordered some appetizers and the food wasnt too bad either. Wasn’t too thrilled about having to pay $ 20+ bucks per song to have them put it on the priority list. Would like to look for other options before coming here again.

Dueling piano bar? I’ve never been. Throw in a full bar, Chel is always game! So two baby grand facing each other, dueling it up accepting song requests from the audience. Ambiance was High energy with the audience singing along. Good right? Well yes and no. Three songs we requested by Adele they both had NO knowledge of. That was a true disappointment. BUT the appetizers we ordered more than made up for it — Calamari, crispy and fresh. Eggrolls, stuffed with yummy goodness. Don’t ask what was in it cuz I don’t remember. All I recall was it was good cuz that was my order! Buffalo wings was tasty and finger lickin’ good! Chicken Nachos, was loaded with a mountain of everything!!! Even for seven people, we couldn’t even finish it! Their beef sliders was pretty decent. It came in threes. Luckily we just ordered one because we had leftovers! Their fried Zucchini was our favorite. We polished that real quick! Crunchy and definitely moist inside as you bite into it. Make sure you order this one, for sure! Their portions are huge! Sharing is definitely a must! Service was lagging but our server said they weren’t sure they would have a good turn out since it was Sunday of Labor Day weekend. But all had a great time. Our server was a sweetheart=) It was a great first time experience for me. I’d definitely go back. You ll have to go with a group of ppl who likes to sing along. It’s more fun that way! #party#in#the#LBC

Experience watching the dueling pianos 6⁄5. Chicken nachos were GROUND chicken, pretty gross. At least use decent cubed chicken for the price! 2⁄5. Drinks 2⁄5 not strong at all but beer is beer and it was decent. Would return just for the show and maybe try to find a stronger drink.

I’m a huge fan of dueling piano bars, so had to give Sgt. Pepper’s a try. I visited on a Thursday night with a friend. I had read others mention getting there early(by 8) to get a table on Fridays/Saturdays, but I was still a little nervous about showing up at 9 on a Thursday. It was raining a bit so I figured that may deter some folks. Turns out there was nothing to worry about. Showed up about 9pm and it was dead. There were only about 10 other people there. I always knew piano bar musicians were very interactive with the crowd, but for some reason I didn’t think they would be with such a small crowd. Boy was I mistaken. They knew how to get everyone involved somehow.(Which made for an enjoyable and memorable experience) Gotta love all the women shaking their butts to Baby Got Back and all the men down on one knee serenading a lucky girl. At its peak around 1030, there were maybe 25 – 30 guests. That meant less competition to have your requests played. I tipped about $ 5 and got mine played pretty much immediately. Anything less you’ll probably have to wait a few. But that goes without saying — bring cash! They play games that involve cash tips. For instance, if the men tip more than the women, the female piano player will stop playing a Katy Perry song, or if the women tip more than the men, they male player will stop playing Titties and Beer(and back and forth). Also ordered some food. Tecate was the cheap beer of the night so I got some tacos to go along with it. They were stuffed pretty full and all the ingredients tasted fresh so thumbs up in that department. Didn’t have to wait long either. The musicians were very talented and awesomely energetic. There was never a dull moment. There were a few requests they didn’t know how to play, but they knew about 95%.(Or could wing it, at least) The whole time, I was either laughing or singing along, so all in all, it’s a good time. Weekends will bring in more birthdays and groups, so it will inevitably get rowdy and raunchy quick. I got lucky with a less crowded evening, and thus got a more intimate-feeling experience. I hope you’ll be just as lucky!

Generally I don’t really like piano bars, I’ve been to the dueling piano bar in Fullerton once and didn’t see the point. I guess I wasn’t inebriated… My friend really loves this place so he dragged a small group of 8 on this Saturday and since he is a regular they waived the cover charge for us. Normally it’s $ 10 per head, but I showed up at 8pm and got in for free which was luck. I was only planning on staying til 11, but stayed til 12, that’s how quickly time passed and it was pretty fun laughing at their loose interpretations of song requests and enjoying the other numbers. Certain other nights during the week they seem to have deals like no cover, so check these out if you’re not quite sure if this place is your speed. The first time I went here on a Friday a couple years ago with a «birthday party» of about 10 – 15 people got there by 9 and had to stand on the and it was totally pointless to even be there, since you couldn’t hear a thing and had no idea what was going on, so I didn’t go back until recently. But that first experience aside, it was better the second time around. They have two baby grand pianos and a host of other instruments, the various musicians, around 4 of them will take turns playing both pianos simultaneously but also join in on drums, guitar, etc for certain numbers. And there are almost no real breaks in the music, which is pretty amazing if you figure out that they open at 7pm and close around 2am… You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you may end up throwing up, you’ll wish you could unhear certain things… but all in all a good time. Note it was enjoyed by all flavors on this night, there were white people, there were black people, there were asians, and they even did 3 songs for the latinos… which is when the audience got the loudest. So they were definitely represented too. Pro Tip: Secret hidden parking lot on Ocean Blvd. is $ 5 all night… it’s a long driveway straight downhill. Almost directly across from Rockbottom. If you miss the driveway, just circle again no biggie. Nobody will judge. Service was OK, not great not bad… but they did do a nice number involving Rocky Horror Picture Show, which was fun crowd participation. They offer beers and certain mixed drinks, which were actually not overpriced compared to most venues or many other places I’ve been… cheaper than your typical resort-area, music venue, and inline with most bars in the area. The only bummer was they ran out of Stella and something else(Shock Top probably), so I had no choice but to order Guinness… which was OK was just in a Stella state of mind. Song requests start at $ 5 but if you actually want to hear your song played before midnight, put down $ 6 or $ 7… better yet $ 10. $ 20 will get it played right away. Song request slips are on each table. And they do a good job bringing the birthday people up on stage once or twice to make fun of them. Which is really fun, even if you don’t know the people.(You bitch… you slut… you whore). Service: 3.5 Prices(overall): 3.75 Entertainment: 4.25 Food(only had ¼ of someone’s sandwich, it was OK): 3.5 Drinks(taste and selection): 4 Seating: 3.5, make a reservation or get there early or very late for a decent table. Overall: 3.75… not a bad time!

I’ve been to this place about 5 times. I can honestly say your experience may vary. I’ve had some very fun nights and some alright nights. The place is located in the heart of the ever so beautiful downtown Long Beach area. You’ll likely have to park in the structure, but SGT. Peppers does validate. There is a cover charge which varies depending on what day you go. You better RSVP on busy nights or else you get stuck in the bar area(outside) with minimal view of the stage. The food and drinks are alright. Nothing special and really nothing to complain about. I usually get them in descent time. The last thing I got was a steak quesadilla with guacamole. The car bomb was pretty spot on and the Mai Tai was too sweet for my taste. Obviously the entertainment is what you go for. It can get pretty lively and the experience does vary depending on who plays. Just go in with an open mind. If you easily get offended then I wouldn’t go here!

I loved this place. Never been before! It was a packed house so it took a while to get a seat but that wasn’t a big deal. There were a LOT of bday parties and it’s kinda annoying how they take time to sing to each person, but I guess they make extra by doing that. I was thankful when they invited up several people at once. I loved the songs that were played… These people are so talented! They can play anything without any music in front of them! I can’t wait to go back!
