Store-N-Save

Store-​N-​Save is a storage facility located in downtown Long Beach, on the corner of 3^rd and Olive, close to Alamitos and Ocean where the beach is. The beach is walking distance, about 4 or 5 blocks south of this location. The building is an older building that looks a bit artsy because of its age, and there is an organic/​vegetarian type coffee-​breakfast place across the street.
I rented a storage unit at Store-​N-​Save for about 6 months that just ended about a month ago. The reason I rented here is because they are the only storage place in downtown Long Beach. The other storage places are at least a mile (or more) away from downtown, so they have the best location here.
You can walk here from the 5^th/​Long Beach Blue-​Line station — the distance is about 5 or 6 blocks to Store-N-Save’s location on 3^rd and Olive. They’re right next door to Ace Hardware and also close to the main road that goes east/​west through downtown: Broadway.
The prices to rent were comparable to other storage places in the area, maybe a little more expensive, but well worth the price if you factor in their location. On Sundays, they’re open until 2, and on Saturdays until 5. Weekdays, they’re open until 5:30. They have 1 truck that you can rent, or your van or p/​u truck can drive into the 2^nd or 3^rd floor to have easy access to your storage unit, no matter what floor you’re on.
Prior to my moving out, I ran short of money and could not pay the entire storage fee on time. They do not accept partial payments, but we were able to work it out, and in the end, the outcome was to my satisfaction and liking. I would rent here again or recommend to anyone visiting Long Beach.

It is very tough for me to not like a company but Store N Save has changed that. They have the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered, charge exorbitant monthly fees with ridiculous late fees ($ 15 – 24 if you don’t pay on the due date) and are just generally unhelpful. Dealing with them was like working with emotionless robots. Go somewhere else for your storage needs.

If you’ve read my moving truck reviews, you’ll already know that I am not a fan of U-​Haul. At all.
But, I would like to mention this place: Store-​N-​Save.
They rent out U-​Haul trucks, but I think they keep the vehicles at another location.
Here you can reserve a vehicle, I believe. You can also purchase boxes and rope and locks and all manner of packing supplies.
I wanted to review them because we are in the process of moving, again, and these people have been so very nice. I’ve been to this location several times in the last month or so and they are always engaging and friendly and genuinely seem like decent folks.
They help me load the boxes in the car and they are prompt and never seem annoyed or hurried.
It’s just a really nice experience dealing with them.
I’m still not going to rent a U-​Haul, but I’ll certainly come here for anything else move-​related I require.

Very helpful! Located close to the art district of Long Beach, this storage place provides mailboxes, boxes and packing supplies, and U-​Haul trucks.
The lady behind the counter was so sweet and her assistant was just as nice. I needed to change my U-​Haul reservations and she managed to help me out, make recommendations, and offer a more affordable deal to help accomodate my moving needs.
I found them through the (800) number of U-​Haul, but I’m sure that if you’re in a rut and catch them during their Monday-​Friday hours from 8:00AM-5:30PM or on the weekends from 8:00AM-5:00PM they will help you figure out some deal with a U-​Haul.
