Our family goes here because it is conveniently located near our house. Even though the flavors are good and they always have new specials to try, the staff needs a little fine tuning. They like to take their time and on our recent visit, like to give an attitude. The owner/manager was very nice and patient, but her employees need a reality check. It left a bad taste in my mouth and probably will be my last visit.

Let’s begin with this: Sweet Scoops averages about 3 – 4 staff members that take their time. It can take about 10 minutes with only 3 people in line! Not very far is Skipper Dipper and they have better ice cream. Sweet Scoops is a very average ice cream place. Not my first choice on places to go for ice cream.

We stopped in during a rainy day down in LBI at an off peak time. No line. Place seems very updated but it has no tables to enjoy your ice cream. For the most part, they sell Breyer’s which I am not a fan of. It’s consistency isn’t there. Wasn’t impressed with the selection. They do have soft ice cream which I did not try. Staff was a bit sluggish. Could be because it was dreary outside. Not a priority on my next trip down. If I wanted Breyer’s, I would stop at the crappy ACME down the road.

It was a cute place with«Breyer’s Ice cream» said my 12yo ice cream snob/connoisseur. But the place is infested with flies and also fruit flies we saw inside the freezer case as well as us in the long line of patrons. Grossed us out but we just passed Another popular ice cream place on the island and their line was VERRrRRy LOng so chose here because we saw Mickey & Minnie in front earlier in the evening. So disgusting to see bugs. Won’t be back.

This is an Ok ice cream shop in the Beach Haven Crest section of LBI. The hard ice cream is ok, but nothing special. The soft ice cream isn’t very good, though. It’s not very flavorful, and tastes almost like it has icicles in it, and has a «gritty» taste. Prices are average for an ice cream place on LBI.

Ok, I have gotten ice cream here a few times. This last time I got the ice cream. I didn’t like it, it had chunks of ice in the ice cream and also just didn’t seem to taste all that great. Now I did notice I think they sell a few different companies ice cream. Because I saw they had breyers(but only five flavors were their flavors) and I like breyers. I think the other flavors are from a different company which is the one I didn’t like. For kids they do have a huge chalk board to write on and while we were there they had people dressed up as characters to say«HI» to the kids. Now I came for breakfast and got donuts and a bagel which they do sell also which were good. At night if there is any left oer bagels they will sometimes give them away for free. The prices are average and the people are very nice. I will go back and at least get the breyers ice cream and breakfast.

I would give this place no stars if I could. I always drive by so decided to give it a try. The line was out the door and you are unable to see the ice cream flavors until you are ready to be served at the counter so it holds everything up. The back looks very unsanitary. The most disturbing thing happened when I was about to check out an employee(I believe it may be the owner) bare handed started touching toppings with her inch long fake nails. Shortly after this she was standing at the register coughing, sneezing, and scratching her nose while handling money. I was thoroughly disgusted, I will never return to this ice cream place.
