Where do I start sat at the bar for over 15min bartenders where to busy running there mouth with each other. Other workers sat empty cups in front of us over and over again. No one acknowledged how long we were there. Spoke to manger who was nice but the fact she lied and said we wasn’t there is what pissed me off. This isn’t my first issue with this place. But surly my last visit.

Love Tequila Jacks! Came last Friday for dinner and drinks with my husband. This is our go to for date night! We have been coming for for over 15 years and have never been disappointed with the food, drinks, service or price! The environment is nice with super high engery! Feeling thirsty? I recommend the Toes in the Sand!

Food is ok. But 2 stalls in the bathroom for a place that seats as many as they do? Pretty sure I waited longer in the bathroom than I did to be seated which still isn’t a positive because then my food is cold by the time I get back to my seat! Rethink bathroom design people, reeeeethink it.

Don’t understand why i was questioned when i asked if there were any cinco de mayo deals going on. «Um… no… there wouldn’t be deals since… its a holiday.» like as if i should know rules and regulations of deals at tequila Jack’s. I did end up saying«well i just wanted to know since mexican food places usually have specials on cinco de mayo since it IS a mexican restaurant» and then i get the reply«well there’s no deals». Don’t know why i got such attitude over a question. I was also told that for cinco de mayo any deals they have day to day like lunch specials are removed… i would think youd want more customers on a mexican holiday but i guess they dont.

Came here for my boyfriend’s grandma’s 77th birthday. We were seated right away and they brought out chips & salsa for our table. I got the carne asada burrito in green sauce w/refried beans & rice(OH& the yummy corn pudding? i think its called) — I liked my whole plate. My boyfriend got the carne asada platter with the same sides but they accidentally brought out black beans but our waitress was really nice & brought a side order over to us. We also got the table side guacamole & it was really good. I think everything is priced pretty good here. Not too expensive at all. Definitely coming back.

This was my first time ever dining at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised! The views were great, the weather was nice, plenty of TV’s for the sports fans and the food and drinks were great! I ordered a Combination plate that included a cheese enchilada, fish taco, chicken taco with refried beans and rice as sides! The food was delicious and plentiful! To top it off, I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea which came in at big goblet and not only was it tasty, there was the perfect amount of alcohol in it as well! Lol I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who either lives in Long Beach or plans to visit in the near future!

I’m only giving two stars because the drinks were good. Otherwise, the service was not great and neither was the food. It was my first time going here and I ordered a house margarita. Once I received it I thought I’d add some fresh jalapeños, so I asked the waitress for some. She asked why I wanted them(which why does it matter), but I said for my drink. She said okay and brought them. Then when we were ordering food, I ordered the chile rellano burrito and asked for green sauce instead of red on the outside of my burrito. The waitress said that I couldn’t do that. I asked why and she said, you just can’t, but she can give me green sauce on the side and charge me extra. I said no, just give me as is. Then we get our food and it did not taste good at all. Everything was very bland or over salted. The waitress then came back and we asked for more drinks. She said we make a jalapeño margarita, I said ok. We get our bill and I see we are charged for the side of jalapeños $ 1.99. I told the waitress, why were we charged, she said we charge for a side. I said this doesn’t make sense because you didn’t tell us and why would I order a jalapeño margarita for $ 12 when I’m paying $ 1.99 for a side of jalapeños? I might as well have purchased a house margarita for $ 7.50. She said we have to charge. I paid the amount, but it’s not even about the money, it’s the principle. The fact you are charging the consumer for every little thing makes no sense. I can go to a fast food restaurant and get my sauces switched out with no issue. The least she could’ve done was went and asked the kitchen. She also should’ve mentioned a charge for those jalapeños. I’m very disappointed in the service I received on my first visit. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here anytime soon!

I’ve always enjoyed Tequila Jack’s. My last visit prompted a review. Went to the Yardhouse next door for a late nite dinner celebration after my youngest daughter’s Master’s ceremony. Got down to Shoreline Village about 10:30 pm, and we were all hungry as FUC!!!(My daughter and son-in-law hadn’t eaten all day, the wife and I hadn’t since about 10:00 am). Walked,(and checked), in to the YH only to be greeted with a beeper and a 45 minute wait. FUC dat. So, the son-in-law meandered on over to Tequila Jack’s and as usual, there was a bit of available indoor seating. So he came back, gave us the good news and soon we were stuffing our faces with, 20 oz. Margarita’s, 20 oz. Mojito’s and 20 oz. beers! This place always seems to seat you quickly UNLESS it’s Grand Prix weekend… We started off with the chimichanga appetizer, which came out almost as quickly as our initial drink order. That stuff is da bomb! Now, here is where it gets interesting. My daughter and son-in-law typically love Chili Colorado, so he ordered the Chili Colorado burrito, my daughter the Chili Colorado plata. I ordered the Shrimp al Mojo de Ajo, the wifey, being the Oreo that she is, ordered a cheeseburger.(Believe me, she caught hell for it, lol). Food came back quickly and smelled delish. Daughter /son-in-law both take their first bite and an almost instantaneous«FUC me» shrieks out of them both. «Holy $hit» they state, «this $hit is FUC’n hot». So Oreo lady decides to try it.(BTW, I highly advised her against it). Yet another glass shattering shriek soon encompassed our booth, and quickly proceeded it’s way out to this and every adjacent business’ vestibule.(OK… I’m exaggerating a bit, but you get the idea). After one small bite, the wifey down’s her Mojito with little to no effort in an ever so futile attempt to circumnavigate the lava flow headed down to her innards So the kids say, «I can’t eat this $hit, it’s too damn hot». Being the nice, chivalrous guy that I am, I trade my shrimp plate for the daughter’s Chili Colorado plata, and the son-in-law soon summoned our server, «Sergio». Son-in-law asks Sergio for a Carne Asada burrito, cuz he can’t eat his Chili Colorado and he,(Sergio), über considerately, offers to take it off the bill. I told him«thanks, that’s OK, I’ll just take it home with me». So, so cool of him to offer though. BTW… We did ask«what kind of chili’s do you use to make that»? His response: «Habanero’s, Anaheim’s and I believe Ghost’s»!!! No freaking wonder, LOL. Meanwhile, I’m downing the red stuff with little to no effort. Throw it in a tort, add a little rice and beans, and it’s all good in the hood.(It was hot, but it was damn good). And, I did pay for it on the backside if you know what I mean, lol. So there… Be warned. This is not your everyday«Chili Colorado». But it sure as Hell is good… If you are there on a Friday evening, ask for Sergio ‘cuz the man WILL take good care of you!!!

First time here, food was awesome, ambiance was upbeat, waitress was excellent… I had the grilled shrimp burrito, babe had mahi mahi, the smoothies were BOMB, my frozen strawberry daiquiri was so good and it was enough for two… its was completely crowded however the service was impeccable!!! Our party was large and they still offered separate bills!!! We felt catered to and just simple hospitality!!! We will be back for more!!!

First time here, came to celebrate one of my sister’s birthday’s. Her husband planned a surprise party with 15 family members. Some of us were earlier than other’s. We had a very nice waiter, attentive to our needs, kept the chips and salsa coming. Once we finally did order, our food was slow coming out; but the drinks came out pretty fast! Two orders had to be sent back, one came out cold and the other had no flavor. The place was really crowded, seemed like every 30 minutes the staff was singing happy birthday to someone. My food was good, the overall opinion was Tequila’s authentic Mexican feel. There are a couple of T.V.‘s, restrooms were clean, large area both inside and outside, with the patio over looking the harbor. I feel it leans more to the drinks than the food. I feel it’s a nice place to order drinks, sit on the patio and enjoy the harbor.

I just left here from taco Tuesday and I must say the place is overall pretty good. Our server Ana was a little rude and snobby At first, but she got better towards the end of the night. They have a LOVELY taco Tuesday happy hour menu. Tacos are $ 1.20, margaritas are $ 4.75, and well drinks $ 4.50. They make you give a card to keep the tab open, so be prepared. It can be very packed, so be prepared to wait . The parking can be a little better. It’s $ 2.00 for 2 hours with validation, and $ 2.00 each 20 min after. Because it gets really crowded and you’re waiting a while, expect to be there more than 2 hours.

I’m jacked up about the value and fun that, Tequila Jacks represents: And the attentive Manager Oscar. He is all about taking care of everyone and everything. He is busy, assisting his Team and assuring diners — on every visit and with every chip(chips & salsa are still complimentary).

My party and I ate at this restaurant on 12÷03÷15 after I was out voted two-to-one. I wasn’t in the mood for Mexican food because I had it the day before. Nonetheless, the food and service at this restaurant was good overall. Service was fantastic from our server, Israel. We also enjoyed the tableside guacamole preparation. Everything we had was fresh and delicious! This rating is based on my experience and my significant other(SO). Our friend, Tony R., recommended this place, so we knew it was going to be good because our friend always tells the truth. No holding back with our friend. To start off our lunch, I had their Margarita. It was smooth and devine! My other party had water only. Can you guess who enjoys a little cocktail? Vacation and alcohol are a great mix. You think? Just don’t drink and drive! When they first brought out their chips and salsa, they served it with a mild salsa. I asked if they had a spicy and even hotter salsa, and they obliged. The mild salsa was average for my taste, but the hot and spicy salsa was awesome! I loved it!!! My SO had the Carnitas Soft Tacos with Rice and Beans for lunch, and the rating, according to my SO was 4.5 stars. Everything on the dish was great, except the rice because it was bland. I had the Chile Relleno, ala carte. It was delicious, but I’ve had better. My rating for it was 3 stars because it was good, and I’ll be able to have it again. Thankfully, the chips and spicy hot salsa made it up for me. Tequila Jack’s was a nice place for our visit to Long Beach on our 15th anniversary. We’ll definitely go back to this restaurant the next time we visit our friend.

Came here with some coworkers for happy hour and taco Tuesday after a long day at the convention center. It was PACKED but we managed to wait in the bar area until a patio table opened up. I am a big fan of harborside dining so although it was a bit chilly, we took the view table and enjoyed more margs with a sunset view. There were several large parties on the patio and I think this could be a great location for group dining. The menu was really large and somewhat overwhelming for me so I just went with a couple tacos for time’s sake. My margarita wasn’t anything to write home about but at least the service was attentive and the view was wonderful. I forgot to check to see if parking was validated — the paid lot is one stipulation that works against my desire to come back but there’s other things to do in this boardwalk area so I could justify it for a longer trip. Pretty sure there’s better food away from this touristy bit.

You may not opt for a chicken sandwich here but I will tell you, you will not be disappointed if you do. The Chicken avocado sandwich was my choice. The flavor was off the hook. Creamy avocado and soft toasted bread. Yum. My boyfriend had a combo plate with tacos and a beef enchilada. He enjoyed his meal. I tasted the beef and it was very tender. I also enjoyed the chips and salsa here. Good spice to the salsa. The margaritas were good just a bit on the tart side. We came here for lunch and sat in the outside patio. It was very pleasant and service was good. Nice view of the harbor and some visits from birds while we ate. Several lunch specials for $ 9.95 and happy hour from 3 – 6. Overall a nice dining experience but the chicken sandwich is unforgettable.

A restaurant named tequila jacks must have amazing margaritas right? They definitely did live up to their name! I never heard of this place before but when I saw it on the boardwalk I had to stop by. We just walked up to the side bar and pulled a menu ourselves. They had frozen margaritas for around 8 $. That’s a pretty good price considering how large it was! The place was pretty busy but the bartender was able to help us pretty quickly. I got my margarita within 5 minutes. They are served in these large glass cups so I was so careful holding mine to my seat since dropping my margarita would be devastating. The margarita itself was delicious! Not too strong not too weak. I could have used a little tequila but it was tasty!
