The Family Nest

We heard of The Family Nest through a family friend… we hadn’t heard anything of the actual center BUT were told of how creative, fun and educational Maria can be! So with the referral we searched The Family Nest and couldn’t have been happier… the center is small BUT Maria makes up for it with so many new tools, projects, classes (and always finds a way to change things around in the classroom) to educate and develop our little ones motor and intellectual development. Particularly those who are interested in a 2^nd language Spanish is spoken throughout the program/​classes. As a father of a 2 year old and 8 mth old my wife and I are very happy to see our toddler develop and learn so many new words and skills — she is truly being intellectually stimulated in a creative space. I highly recommend you check out the center for an art class (if there is still space)! You won’t find your ordinary art class… you’ll find a cool new way to introduce and/​or promote a skill through projects, play, songs, music etc. She even has a tinkering class (Pre-​K STEM classes) for toddlers…
We understand as parents their first 3…5 years of age are crucial in their development so for us, this program/​center promotes all those skills and more to fulfill a child’s creativity and development. If you are in the Long Beach and surrounding areas… I highly recommend this center.

I moved to this Country almost 4 years ago and knowing no one for the first 2 years was hard. I have an almost 3 year old daughter and I am pregnant, and when I was introduced to Maria and her project by a friend, I was really happy.
This place has the perfect name, you don’t sign up your kid, your kid becomes part of a great family.
My daughter has so much fun while she learns. Her vocabulary is growing faster than her and we are amazed about every new story she comes home with after class.
As a native Colombian, I was afraid she will not speak a lot of Spanish, but so far she is fluent in both languages, thanks to the reinforcement at the Family Nest.
They also offer a lot of different and new classes and activities all the time to help your little one develop their skills.

This is a dreamed place! I am very pleased with the environment of the classroom. The teacher and her assistant are always interested in the children. Maria, the teacher, is incredible. I love how she address the activities 80% in Spanish.
I have noticed that my son has been improving his social and intellectual skills so much. He has learned several songs that he likes to practice with my husband and me at home. I love to see him a little more independent when he is in class. He is still a mommy’s boy but I know that I can count on The Family Nest to keep developing his feeling of independence.
My boy is always happy when we arrive at The Family Nest. He recognizes the place as somewhere he can play, be curious and always find an activity to challenge him. He loves to go to his classes. I know this because when we get there and we park in front of the building, he starts to do a happy dance in his car seat. I am very grateful for having this amazing school close to my home. I will definitely keep bringing my son to as many classes as I can.

The Family Nest is an excellent place to take your little one to learn in a bilingual environment with an amazing teacher with great story time, art classes, music and family nest time! My daughter has adapted so well at the Family Nest while learning Spanish! Highly recommended!
