Nice outdoor patio. Kind of boring, needs music and snacks for purchase. Eventhough you can bring food in which is a nice perk. You can’t order a glass without being in the wine club, so we joined and the first two bottles were terrible. They tasted like they’ve been in storage for years. Our last wine pick ups were much better. I wish the staff were nicer and kept us involved and entertained because we’re always underwhelmed when leaving. Wine usually sells itself, but it would be nice if there was laughter and personality in the place.

Nice friendly place. Can bring in your own appetizers. For the beer drinkers in your party, don’t panic. They have a selection of bottled beers to choose from.

Nice and mellow atmosphere. Delicious wine tasting and decent poor for a tasting. They also have a decent selection of craft beers for those who don’t drink wine(like my husband). Parking can be difficult but it is Long Beach so it’s to be expected.

The staff at this wine shop are very knowledgeable, and the wine selection cannot be beat. High quality wines are available at all prices, and they do wine tasting on the weekends. This isn’t a wine bar, but they post what they are pouring on the website so you always know what you are walking into. The wine clubs are fantastic too. If you love wine this place is a must!

Was attending the food truck event on Redondo and Broadway and stumbled upon this place. Initially walking in the man working the front desk seemed put off at our presents. He appeared to scoff at any question we had proposed. I have never claimed to be a wine connoisseur nor a pompous snob in that area but I do enjoy a good vino and pairing. All the wine was extremely overpriced… I prefer BevMo. Not to mention the temperature inside was 10 degrees higher than outside at 76. Being that 55 degrees is the ideal storing temp, this was WAY to hot. I can’t imagine what they say to sell their«membership» in these conditions. Over all BAD impression right out of the gate!

Clearly these guys only want you to join their wine club membership. The actual experience in their Taco Bell adjacent outdoor«courtyard» could be delightful if they actually put any effort into making it attractive. When you walk into the inside wine store, clutter and boxes are haphazardly strewn about. Then if you want to purchase a bottle and share it with friends outside — sorry! That’s a wine club only perk. Really? To buy a bottle and enjoy outside requires a membership? Dumb. Then would you like a nibble with that wine? Oh sorry. They don’t sell anymore. What they can bring out is an unopened package of crackers on a paper napkin. Overall I am sure the wine selection in the club is decent but don’t bother walking into this place if your goal is to enjoy yourself and appreciate the outdoors.

Great selection, and if you go in regularly the owner will remember your taste and make recommendations. Try the weekly tastings!

I’m going to hate writing this review but it’s time! First and foremost, Adam(one of the owners who is usually at the shop) has a great selection of wine and the wine tastings remain interesting since him and his staff mix it up very well to give tasters a good and varied experience. So on that note, 5 stars. Unfortunately, that’s where the good experience stops. I have been going to the wine crush with my family and friends for years and Lord only knows how much money I have spent there. We are also Club members. However, I am yet to be made to feel like Adam and Marcus,(the owners) even remotely try to be friendly to me and my group . Depending on what night you go in to taste, it can be a very very clicky place, especially if you choose to hang out at the indoor tasting bar. The customers that spend a ton of money here ie) join all the Wine Crush wine clubs, come in weekly for the pricey tastings, etc. are given extra large sample pours and are spoken to in a friendly and congenial manner by Adam and his brother Marcus(who is not there a lot). It’s almost as if I have to stick my glass in their face to get any attention. I dont know about anyone reading this review, but if I owned a local wine store, I would go out of my way to make all customers, but especially repeat ones feel like a million bucks. These owners have their«favorite» customers and for whatever reason, their non-verbal communication speaks volumes to those who do not fall into their popular click– it’s the worst on Thursday nights when the«favorite regulars» come in. Adam, Marcus— here are some suggestions for you. I promise that following even 1 or 2 of these suggestions will not only yield you better Unilocal reviews but probably even bring in more customers which obviously means increased revenue. 1. Try much much harder to stop showing favoritism to those that come in all the time and spend more money with you than those of us that do not. 2. Stop doing your bookkeeping and working on your PC during tastings. I’ts not only rude but maybe, just maybe we customers would like to interact with you more about the wine you have selected. On the same note, move your damn laptop off the bar area. It’s a small bar so don’t you think that space should be left for customers to place their drinks, etc. 3. Please hire professional landscaper to do something— anything with that great rear yard space you guys are lucky to have. Currently there are no fresh flowers or landscaping in place and the wrought iron furniture is old, dirty and uncomfortable. Do something please. I’ve heard these comments from dozens of your customers over the years– isn’t it time to put some investment into that space and spruce it up. Landscaping for that space can be done very economically and kept up fairly easily. Come on guys– the place looks like crap right now. Don’t we deserve better? 4. How about some soft jazz music or wine«mood» music in the background instead of that metal rock non-mood music you guys pipe in through some cheap sounding system. An investment in a sound system would definitely be a huge improvement. Heck, I’ve gone in many a night when there is no music. What a mood killer for me and my guests. 5. Can you offer small plates again of cheese and crackers for a fee instead of just pouring pita chips into a bowl. Here again, small things you guys can do to really take this place from so-so to super. 6. Read ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People”… Just one or two chapters should be good enough then practice what you’ve read and learned on customers like me. If either or both of you read this, I hope you’ll do something soon! I’d love to pick up a copy of our local paper and see an ad for The Wine Crush stating something like…“Hey come check out our new and beautifuly landscaped patio area – now offering a light appetizer menu — , etc.”

I love this place! My husband and I have been wine club members for 8 years or so, and we love coming here to taste wine. They have a fantastic selection of wines and beer to try out, and their cigar and port nights are a great addition to their calendar as well. The brothers who own The Wine Crush, Marcus and Adam, have always been very welcoming, so we have brought in many of our friends to relax and taste some wine with us. You won’t be disappointed!

I recently went I to this place with my friend who lives down the street… horrible horrrible customer service! I don’t even think horrible is the right word to explain how bad it was The owner and man that was working were the rudest people I have ever encountered in my life!!! After 20 minutes off looking at the wine they asked us if we needed help … That’s sure along time to ask for such a small place Being extremely stuck up they recommended us a wine comparable to the wine we were looking for… Don’t go here they are stuck up snooty people I have ever met! And they didn’t even ask thank you after spending $ 80

Super cute patio and nice that you can bring in your own food. I am but a member so wast going to be able to fully enjoy the place, but a member let me ‘borrow’ her membership. Wine tasting is always fun so pack a snack and enjoy!

Okay, I’m in LOVE with this place. I came here for the first time last night for a networking gathering and I can’t wait to go back! Nestled in my favorite area in Long Beach, this place is the prefect wine bar. First of all, any place that allows you to bring pets is pretty high on my list. But this place goes a step beyond and allows you to bring a picnic that you can enjoy on their beautiful, and well-heated, patio. The wine I had was part of their Spanish tasting and was absurdly good. It was very reasonably priced at $ 10 for a rather large glass. The whole tasting would have been $ 20, and I believe included 5 wines to try. They have such an amazing collection of wines — I am really looking forward to exploring more next time, when I come back, with a picnic :-)

Note: I attended a special event, so consider this a limited review. The Wine Crush has a fabulous outdoor patio with seating. Sip your wine under the sun and pretend you’re in wine country. Ok, so you’ll really have to use your imagination as Taco Bell is right next door, but in the right company and with the right glass of red/white in your hand, anything is possible. You’ll get your pours inside the store. It’s small, kind of dark and rustic. Great selection of wine and beer.(Member prices on my favorite beers were in line with some chain outlets.) Membership available for purchase. One perk is discounts on just about everything in store. Otherwise the price tag for a tasting is $ 20 for 6 wines.(For sake of comparison, Silverlake Wine charges $ 12⁄3.) Owners/staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Location/parking: On the corner of N. Obispo and E. Broadway, next to the Yoga studio. If you’ve driven past Taco Bell, you’ve gone too far. Find street parking on Obispo, Broadway, or E. Corto behind the store.

Came here and discovered this store charges $ 20 for wine tasting 6 unknown wines. WTF? Are we in Sonoma? I don’t think so! This wine store is at a really good location — off of Broadway where it could stand out but it doesn’t. The decorationg of the inside is ordinary. The outside patio while big, it doesn’t make the best of its size. There’s dry plants and nothing colorful to stare at while enjoying a glass of wine. BTW, I only saw one person and that was the one serving the wines at the bar. He wasn’t welcoming or friendly. In fact I thought he was plain RUDE. In Long Beach? Really? To me it doesn’t look like the establishment that cares about catering to good paying customers. My guess is that it’s not going to last very long. Based on how many people were at this place, I don’t see how it can stay open too much longer. RUDEBARPERSON, ORDINARYDECORANDEXPENSIVEWINETASTING, $ 11FOR A GLASSOFUNKNOWNWINE = WINETRASH Not again for me.

I love coming here for wine tasting! It happens Thursdays-Sundays. $ 20 for 6 tastings! It’s a deal. Tastings also come with one form that gives you information on the wine you’re drinking. There’s only about 4 seats inside but why would you sit inside when Wine Crush has a great patio? I’ve met friends here, come here for birthday parties, etc. They also sell a few fancy beers and some small cheese plates for snacking. Many wines to purchase inside at a wide price range. The owner, and everyone involved with the store, are very nice. Do not be intimidated! It’s a friendly neighborhood place.

6 months later & still a HUGE fan… This is a great place but nope, don’t go, stay away — then there will always be room for us! LOL Joking, seriously though, great ambiance, love the patio, everyone there is always friendly-employees & patrons alike. It’s definitely become our weekly addiction! Kudos to the 3 who run the show… Adam — Hilary — Marcus
