Dr. Doan and Dr. Tran are great! They are very respectful and don’t try to sell you on things like other doctors would. The receiving staff inside the office are also very sweet, in particular a gentleman by the name of Michael helped me pick out my frames. I appreciated his honest opinions of how frames looked on me and he wasn’t afraid to tell me if it didn’t look flattering! The office has a great selection of brand names ranging from Rayban, Fendi, Giorgio Armani, Burberry, Tory Burch, Coach, and Kenneth Cole to name a few. I went with a frame from the brand Salt, which I am stoked to get in a week or so. Office is clean, they offer an optional technology where they can scan the back of your eye and detect if you have any tumors which I think is really helpful. Will definitely be coming back for my annual exams here.

I have been a patient at Triangle Eye Care for over 13 years. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

I’m a first time patient and very impressed. Shannon was able to get me in within the hour after I called and was very welcoming. Dr. Doan has great chair side manner and is very thorough. Sarah assisted me with the selection of my frames. They have a great assortment of frames (as compared to Sam’s Club). She was very patient and went over and above in making sure I got the best deal for my money.
I will definitely be a returning patient. A+
With regard to the two negative reviews from March 2015, I’m convinced the kinks have been worked out that sometimes come with new ownership. Happy Patient!

Seriously inept opticians and terrible customer service. They messed up the progressive lens measurements on my husband’s glasses not once but twice and are refusing to fix them the second time. The b**** optician kept saying that his «prescription must have changed.» Two eye exams later, his prescription hadn’t changed and they confirmed that the measurements were off on both sets of lenses. They also did not bother to tell him that the glasses he picked out were incompatible with his prescription. Seriously, this optician was so snotty that she actually tried to blame the problem on me, saying that «Your wife had the final say» in the frames. I’m not a freaking optician, I just said the frames looked good. It is YOUR job to help pick out the appropriate frames and to do the measurements correctly. We will not be giving this place any more money or time. I’d rather pay another $ 600 to someone else rather than deal with this place anymore.
Do not waste your money or time.

I’ve been going to Dr. Takeda at Triangle eye care for the last 5 years. I was looking for an eye doctor who understood my needs and we worked together to care for my eyes. She has helped me find glasses I am comfortable wearing. Highly recommend Triangle eye care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Berman for years and now He takes care of my husband and two teenage daughters. Everyone there is very professional and helpful. Dr. Berman is one of the most thorough and down to earth doctors I have ever met. I would definately recommend him to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr Takeda for two years and I am very happy. Dr Takeda takes the time to get t know her patients. She always listens to any concerns and offers great solutions to improve your site/​eye comfort.
I went there on a referral from a co-​worker and found the team to be friendly, professional and talented. They offer all of the latest eye care services/​technology. I wear contacts occasionally as well as glasses (both progressives). I have found that progressives can be tricky to get fitted properly but the team at Triangle Eye care make this fitting process seem effortless. I truly enjoy getting my new glasses and lens.
Sergio is extremely helpful and I can’t tell you the number of times I have had to get my glasses adjusted since I am so hard on them. He has also been so helpful picking out new frames. I would recommend them to all of my friends and family.

Dr. Takeda is awesome. You can tell she enjoys what she does. She is approachable, personal and darn good at what she does. Not only do I recommend her for adults but also children. She was able to diagnosis my 3 year old daughter with a visual deficit and put her corrective lenses. I didn’t even know she had a problem, yet as soon as she started wearing her glasses she started to look at books and her behavior changed, in a good way. Now she lets me know that she can’t see as well without her glasses. My other daughter has type 1 diabetes and Dr. Takeda makes sure her eyes aren’t being influenced by blood sugars. So not only are they good with children they get to know us as individuals. I have so many positive things to say about Dr. Takeda but really you will need to meet her for yourself and you will understand. I am so happy to have found this office and I definitely recommend them for any optometry needs. They are great.

Dr Takeda is great! She is the best optometrist. I look forward to going into see her and the staff. They are always friendly and very helpful as I can be very picky and a pain when picking out new frames.
When going in for an appointment she is always on time and very friendly. The staff is also very professional and willing to help. I highly recommend Dr Takeda, she is a great doctor that cares about her patients and always takes the time to make you feel comfortable while under her care.

Have been going here for years. The doctors are professional and friendly. The facilities are incredibly clean and have state-​of-​the-​art equipment.
I totally trust Dr. Takeda. Not sure what the one-​star reviewer is talking about. What’s ironic is Kaiser has a reputation for being a less-​than stellar health care provider… Whatever.
The advantage of going to a private practice like this one is that you’re almost guaranteed the same doctors will be with you year after year.
The optical boutique is really pricey though :(

I have had the privilege of experiencing you eye care services first hand and I have to say, that out of the many eye doctors that I have used over the years, you are by far the best one I have ever had!

I wanted to thank you for my new eye glasses, but for more than that. I have ignored my astigmatism for over a decade, but finally went to get my eyes checked out when the traffic signs got too small to read — especially at night.
Dr. Takeda’s staff is so helpful, and seem to recognize how sensitive people are about their eyes — it’s important to be gentle with us! I also appreciate the state-​of-​the-​art diagnostic tools and machinery they use to check not only vision, but eye health. It’s a relief to know I am fine, besides a little dryness and the need for progressive lenses… Grrr! I am over age 40!
When it was time to choose my glasses, Lupe listened to my personal taste, and found me the perfect glasses to match it, that also happen to look terrific! I couldn’t be more pleased! What a great team — what a great experience!

This was the first time EVER that I went to the eye doctor. I am very scared of anything to do with eyes. Even the thought of contacts freaks me out so I wanted to make sure where I went was the most professional and most advanced place I could find. I was able to make a weekend appointment, which was a huge plus. The location is nice and the office is very nice. The receptionist/​helper was very kind and the doctor was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. I took the option of having the computer scan my eyes so I wouldn’t have to dilate them. It was well worth the extra money. I paid out of pocket for my visit and i feel like I got my money’s worth. I have ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision, woo hoo.

My husband has been going here for almost 3 years (I think) and he has been very happy with Dr. Takeda and the staff here. We took our almost 4 yr. old here today for her exam and we were very happy with Dr. Yim, Dr. Takeda’s husband (Dr. Takeda is on maternity leave). Our daughter was very hesitant about going to the dr and Dr. Yim, and the office staff made her feel right at home. We are very happy with the service we have received so far. Ordered glasses for our daughter too and prices seemed reasonable.

Dr. Takeda is awesome. Friendly, young, professional. I felt at ease, and most important: not rushed. Plus they have the don’t-have-to-get-your-eyes-dilated machine for a small extra fee, which is much nicer, and you can drive afterward! I highly recommend her and this facility. I didn’t have much time to look at frames afterward, but what I did see, I liked. Lots of hip brands. And they are open in the mornings on Saturdays, so I can return when I have the time. Relaxed AND professional!

Once in a while circumstances come together that cause a serendipitous change in direction. Finding Triangle Eye Care was one of those times.
I have a neurological problem with one of my eyes which makes a traditional reading based eye test impossible. My ophthalmologist suggested testing on a machine that can map my eyes and translate that into a prescription from which to grind lenses. The doctor to whom he referred me no longer had that machine. A few minutes in Google turned up Triangle Eye Care. Perfect! I live in the area and they have great hours and even some on Saturdays.
Dr. Kara Takeda and her staff could not have been more thorough and professional. She took plenty of time to listen and learn about my abnormal condition. Then she explained advantages of the Izon lenses and the technology behind the machine that does the testing (see my review of Izon lenses).
I have been through a lot with my eyes and more than my share of doctors. I could not be more pleased with Dr. Takeda and her entire staff. When I went back in to pick up my new glasses, Dr. Takeda took some more time to talk to me about my condition. She had spoken to a number of other doctors about my case and had wanted to look at my medical history regarding my eye. She didn’t need to do that-​my condition is thought to be, by all of the other doctors, irreversible. Dr. Takeda is a special kind of person and her concern shows in her practice. Her fingerprints are on every aspect of the office (except your lenses).
Talented, thorough, kind, compassionate are all words I attribute to Dr. Takeda. Try them out. I think you will be as happy as I am.

Dr. Berman has been with this practice for 34 years. He’s old school and I dig it. He wore a button down shirt and a tie. Ok, I guess I’m supposed to review the service. Efficient and friendly staff. I wish they had a better selection of frames, however.

I went to have my eyes checked at Triangle Eye Care this morning. It was great. The staff was very professional. I really liked Dr. Kara Takeda. She explained everything and was very nice. I did not feel like they were trying to bamboozle me into buying expensive glasses or contacts. They helped me understand my insurance benefit (VSP) and how to get the most bang for the buck. Dr. Takeda performed something called an Optoscan (I think) which is an alternative to having your eyes dilated. Basically it is digital pictures of the back of your eye. Dr. Takeda explained the results to me. It was totally high tech! I totally recommend this doctor and office. It was a great experience.

Thanks to Unilocal for sending me to Dr. Berman. He seriously is one of the best Doctors period that I’ve ever met. I waited for about 5 minutes before going through a series of incredibly cool tests, and the entire time they walked me through everything they were doing. They have a machine that takes a picture of your cornea instead of dilating your eyes.
I was super happy that they took VSP, and they were kind enough to let me come back free of charge to see how my contacts were working out. Seriously, if you don’t believe me call them.

Dr. Berman (and his associates) are great. The staff is friendly and efficient, and always have me in and out of there fairly quickly. They use top of the line technology all the way; every time I come here I feel like I’m getting the best eye care my insurance company’s money can buy. Highly recommended.
