United Family Dental

I just want say really quick about the service at my dentist office today. It was completely painless. Starting from when we schedule the appointment to when we walked in and checked in. Everyone was very nice and polite. Dental assistant and Dr took vrry good care of me. I just wanted to give a shout to all the staff. Good job keep up the great work.

Love this dental office!!! The receptionist are there to help, walk in are always welcome !
It takes forever for me to make dental appointment for my daughter and I’m so happy I found this place. The dentist and everyone at the office are nice and very informative.
I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends!!!

So I went to United family dental to get a regular check up, do to my braces I needed a cavity clearance, after the check up was done the Doctor told me I still had my wisdom tooth and he recommended me to remove them at first I was to scared, I waited 4 months to make up my mind for nothin because it was a piece of cake I didn’t feel anything, I didn’t feel the anesthesia, I didn’t feel the extraction it self I didn’t have any after pain whatsoever Dr. J did an awesome job. :D
I did get a little swollen the next day but it was fine Because I was working and eating like nothing had happened. I can honestly say I’m so happy with the results !!!

The front desk was really friendly, professional and helpful. I needed my wisdom tooth removed because it was bothering me and Dr. J extracted my tooth without any pain. He was really friendly and the process was fast and painless. Within two minutes the tooth was removed. Everyone there is friendly and helpful in the process. the dental place is clean and the people working there are very friendly. Good experience and it turns out everything was covered by my insurance and i had no share of cost. I would recommend Dr. J for extractions or any other procedure.

So I went in to get my regular check up. Upon examining Dr. J told me that my wisdom teeth needed to be taken out because it was going to cause problems. Sandra and him both worked with me to explained how my insurance would cover everything, and Sandra even waived a few things so I wouldn’t have to pay anything out of pocket! Talk about customer service! If that wasn’t enough, I got all 4 wisdom teeth taken out the same day, because I had such a hectic schedule coming up! Dr. J did excellent! I had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out in no more than 10 minutes! I felt no pain whatsoever, my face never got swollen, and returned to work the following day. Best «regular check up» ever!

So today I had my 4 year old get some work done and she had the worst experience ever the nurses are great except the doctor that was assisting us was really not kid friendly she was raising her voice and she even told me to leave the room because my kid was crying she was really mean to my daughter. I really don’t recommend this place for kids.

I would have to say that this is by far the worst dental office I have ever been to I have been having problems with the same tooth for over a year I first went there a year ago wanting to get it pulled and they told me I would have to get a root canal and they needed a substantial amount of money to do that, I let them know that I was unable to do that and I would like to get the tooth extracted. They proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay them, in order for them to change the diagnos. So I got an antibiotic for the infection and pain killers. I went back a year later with the same problem with the same tooth and they told me the same exact thing so once again I walked out of there VERY VERY FRUSTRATED AND IN SEVERE PAIN. I called my insurance and found out that they were not supposed to be charging me anything. In conclusion this dental facility is money hungry and they do not care about their patients!!!

My fiancé and her daughter have been going here for years. I didn’t think much until recent experiences and now I am having them go elsewhere. Her daughter has received cavity fillings and my fiancé has had about 6 root canals. Her last one was done today. I went into the office yesterday and they did xrays and said she would need one. So I put up $ 650 to do it which they said would take 1.5 hours. About an hour into it my fiancé comes out and says the female dentist stopped half way through and said she couldn’t do it. On top of that she did not see the LARGE red writing that said on the report that my fiancé was 5 months pregnant which her nurses all saw and stopped her prior to using medication that was bad for pregnancy.
The nurses are great. They are kind, helpful and on many occasions caught the details over the actual dentist. They told us she had to come in today for the male dentist who only works on Tuesdays for his expertise. She showed up 30min early in fear of being late to work and they still didn’t take her back for 45 minutes. Then another 30min goes by before the male dentist came in. It took the full 1.5 hours and she was late to work.
I would rather have spent the $ 650 and the upcoming $ 800 for a crown at another professional and more efficient dentist. And we will. This is what you get for a dental office in the middle of a shopping center.
I give props to the nurse staff, but their dentists are horrible!!!

Over a year ago my father decided to take it upon himself to find a dentist and go, without telling me anything about it. I got a phone call «Your father is ready to be picked up.» «What? From where??» It was quite the surprise.
LOCATION: United Family Dental is located on the North West corner of Long Beach blvd & Willow in the same strip mall as Albertsons Market, T-​mobile, Verizon, take out pizza, etc.
SERVICE: The office staff is nice and the dentist working on my father has made sure to explain everything that was needed before starting anything. The vast majority of their busness is hispanic, so English is definately the 2^nd language. Waiting room is small-​ish and usually filled with children.
The dental work they’ve provided has been good. Of the times we’ve had to go back, only once was due to an issue they created. Pops has been happy with the work they’ve provided and as of 2 weeks ago he has teeth again, so all is good! LOL
OVERALL: Yup, it’s a dentist. Happy Happy Joy Joy!
