I live close by Vivid, so when I needed some custom artwork framed, I decided to take it there to see what they thought and get a quote. They walked me through every step of the process and worked with me to pick out the perfect matte and frame color/​size.
Joshua was a dream to work with. He was able to work within my budget and create the exact aesthetic that I was looking for! This team is incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgable of all things framing.

I had such a phenomenal experience working with Josh! I’m a local artist in Hermosa Beach and I needed a 30×30 inch print made of one of my abstract pieces of art as well as some large 50×33 inch prints of some of my sunset beach photos. I had an upcoming show and Josh helped me to successfully meet my deadline. He is incredibly thorough with the process and explaining details to me plus it’s just fun to hang out in his shop with his little doggy, Rudy, who is like a local doggy celebrity!
I can’t speak highly enough to the quality and pricing of these large prints that Josh made for me. The colors are impeccable and there are lots of options to choose for paper and finish (not to mention all the framing options).

Joshua is awesome! My girlfriend needed to get some mattes done for an art show and we were having a terrible experience at a couple other places. They all wanted to charge us through the roof and needed a few days for only 2 mattes. Joshua was a big help, he explained everything, was really nice, gave us a solid deal and got it done in a couple of hours. His assistant was ready to help us each time we came in to drop off work. Even with other customers, they found a way to satisfy everyone’s needs at once. I’m definitely coming back when I need any frame work done!

I loved this spot. They worked with me on pricing and they have so many options to choose from. I got a signed vinyl and poster framed. Joshua helped me out with everything and even had the same taste in music. Overall my experience with them was awesome and I loved the finished product. I’ll be getting all my frame work done here from now on! Definitely recommend this spot to anyone!

I had a quick and easy experience at Vivid Framing. Joshua and his assistant were very accommodating the second we walked in as every time after. He gave me a deal better than any of the places I stressed at before I came in. They had a little dog that was pretty adorable there as well. It kept us entertained while he calculated everything out for us. I was very happy with their casualness and yet very professional manner with our project.

Joshua has been so amazing & helpful. He let me participate in the entire project. Now I can give my hubby an anniversary gift that was made by me.

I brought in a photo print from my recent travels to Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Joshua welcomed me (and my dog) into his shop to sit down and discuss framing options. He has such an artistic and experienced eye for pairing art with the best matte and frame options. He thoughtfully considered the feel and energy I was trying to create with my piece and respectfully considered my budget as well. The finished work came together beautifully and is very high quality. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

This review is for printing services, not framing. I’m a digital artist, and went in to get a print of one of my works as a gift for a friend. Joshua was very accommodating and was sensitive to my time deadline. He made sure the print came out beautifully and true to color (which was my main concern). I’d come back again for any printing needs in the future!

I have wanted to get five generations of family pictures framed for my kids and shopped around at the retail locations with no results. It was by pure luck I was passing by Vivid Framing & Lighting. So I walked in and was greeted by Joshua. Instantly he made feel at home. He listened to what I would like and how I wanted my pictures done. He had so many options and ideas… it was amazing. I could not be happier with the results. Joshua you are the BEST!!!

We went to get a picture framed and there was a sign on the door that said they’d be back at 12 pm. We were there at 12:45 pm and they were still closed. What is the point of having your hours on Unilocal or leaving a note with your hours if you don’t even bother to keep them?
I suggest calling ahead to make sure they’re actually open.

Could not be more ecstatic over the framing that was done on my Pennywise painting from the movie IT. Not only was it affordable and done well it’s local. Very satisfied with Joshua and his work.

Joshua and his team do incredible work! What I love about his shop is that he really takes the time to walk you through the options and make you feel at ease during the entire process. I came in to get a silk screen poster framed from Mondo tees. I was so impressed with the quality of work! I will for sure be going back again!

I went to Vivid for the first time this week, trying to support local business but a little worried about small business pricing. I was wrong, and they were amazing in every way. Their selection, service, and knowledge were priceless, and get this… Joshua gave me a better idea for my print that actually LOWERED THE COST! I will never go to a big chain again, I urge you to give them a try for all of your precious art and other memories!

Joshua is such a great guy and working with him was a great pleasure… For my boyfriend :) I was lucky enough to come from a work trip and see one of my favorite pieces of art, the only original painting we own, finally behind glass adorned in a beautiful black & gold frame. I’m a freelance artist currently going to a makeup academy in hollywood and on a tight budget. I had bought my bestest friend a scream masked signed by wes craven himself as a birthday present. Plans for my best friends birthday were rushed a week early and in a panic i went on Unilocal to find the closest, most affordable and best rated framing shop on Unilocal.On the weekend of forth of July (terrible timing to shop for framing places) i ran into 3 closed framing stores and one that appraised me over $ 300 outside of my budget. It was actually over the price of the actual signed masked i bought and wanted framed. low and behold at an all time stressful low situation. i find vivid framing and lighting on Unilocal.Called them first and spoke to a wonderful assistant who set up a meeting with the owner that same day just an hour after my call. crossing my fingers that this would work out… i walked into the shop with my mom in a panic and met Joshua. He was so extremely kind and lovely. Him and his staff offered drinks, great music, many affordable options to frame my birthday present mask, and most importantly a discount since it was my first professional framed piece with a Unilocal reference. He even rushed my order to make it on time to where i picked up the finished framed piece and went directly to my friends birthday party on time!!! Joshua is a great delight to work with. He genuinely knows what he is doing. impeccable timing and professional quality. great prices and a huge passion for what he does. i will definitely be coming back and refer him to any friends in need of professional framing. as an artist myself… i certainly did, as most people should, keep in mind that when you walk into a framing project that you’re paying an artist for his best work. worth every penny to see my best friends face opening his surprise framed scream mask gift.
ps: i wish i asked the price for museum glass option on my frame but if you can splurge for it. (DO IT)

I am an artist who is doing a Piece for a private event at the Getty Center Museum and i went to Vivid for all of my printing and framing needs. i must say this place is FANTASTIC!!! They have a large variety of frames in sooooo many shapes and sizes, it almost seems like to many. but then the voice of reason pops in… and his name is Josh lol after calling him and e-​mailing my piece to be printed on canvas (AMAZING by the way) it was time to pick a frame, and without Josh and Vivids amazing selection it would not have gone so smooth. i had looked at other places and the selections just looked… cheap and meh. but the selection at Vivid is amazing and great pricing as well. i am so excited to have worked with them and can not wait to show case my piece at the Getty. As an artist i will NEVER go anywhere else for my printing or framing needs!
