It is a diner in a strip mall. The food was diner-quality. Not great but not bad. A good choice if you are in the area and want pancakes or french toast or a sandwich. The coffee is good.

Amy’s is a local classic. It is what you would expect from a diner, good filling breakfasts and nice coffee. I have gone there for many years. And I still do. The décor is becoming a little run down over the recent years, although I like the old school rock and roll theme they have. The food is good, breakfast items are the way to go. My favorite item on the menu is the cinnamon almond french toast, absolutely delicious. Wait staff is generally pretty good, however there are sometimes very long lines because the place is a classic spot for people in the area. The place is a little pricy and the lunch and dinner items are not that great.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding and decided to have brunch here before we left. It was such a good choice. This place is incredibly popular. When we got there, the waiting area was packed but everyone was in good spirits. Despite the crowd, we got a table in twenty minutes. Then came the hard part. This is a massive menu. Any possible combination of omelette exists here. There were so many choices. Normally this would be overwhelming, but it was kind of fun at Amy’s. My husband and I both selected omelettes and they arrived promptly with toast and home fries. The omelettes are huge and well prepared. Everything tasted excellent. If you aren’t super hungry, I would recommend splitting an omelette because it is more than enough for two people. The coffee arrived in carafes, which was a nice touch. I really hate having to constantly flag down wait staff for refills. But Amy’s has it covered. This place is like a well oiled machine. They know what they are doing, and they do it well.

This is a diner really, and it was pretty decent. We popped in on a Saturday morning in the winter, it was busy but we were able to get a seat right away. Like other have said they have 222 omelettes. It’s a bit nuts. I went with one stuffed with a potato pancake and kielbasa. It was very good, not as much meat and more potato pancake than anything. The home fries I barely touched because the omelette itself was so huge. With 222 omelette selections alone I was looking for a little guidance from the waitress, especially when she came back twice and I wasn’t ready to order, I even asked for suggestions and I got, some people order from this side… Um oh thanks for narrowing it down to 111 omelettes. Water and coffee went unfilled, so service was not great at all. We also ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy because I love it and like to try it out places. It was meh, a little on the bland side, but not the worst I’ve ever had. Sure the omelette was tasty but it wasn’t mind blowing, and service was meh at best. But, if I were in this ‘hood there aren’t many other options. So it’s worth a stop, for the sheer novelty alone.

Terrific brunch/breakfast place — we enjoyed a spicy Mexican omelette, pancakes & bacon, and eggs Benedict, all piping hot and tasty.

For Black Friday it’s been a tradition amongst my cousin’s to have a breakfast together in anticipation of the day’s shopping. So for Black Friday 2015, I chose Amy’s Omelette House as the breakfast destination based on the Unilocal reviews and it’s proximity to Monmouth Mall. Walking in you get some vibes of an old school diner with booths along the walls and tables in the center area. Along the walls are lined album posters of 80’s music. I noticed Phil Collins, Men at Work, Michael Jackson, Chicago, etc… it was a blast to the past indeed. Scanning the absolutely huge menu(there are 200+ omelette choices alone; not counting the other breakfast choices) I chose traditional buttermilk pancakes with blueberries and a side order of biscuits & gravy to be shared. Served with powdered sugar and whipped cream the four buttermilk pancakes were cooked perfectly, quite large, and very delicious. The biscuits were nice; just the right amount of flakiness and buttery flavor. Gravy was made using chipped beef and not that bad, though I think the biscuits are good enough on their own/ One of my cousin’s ordered the Chicken & Waffles and he indicated he really enjoyed the dish. The one large waffle was nicely cooked and a generous portion of four chicken tenders was served on top of said waffle. He remarked on how moist the chicken was and the excellent crispy exterior and soft interior of the waffle. The remainder of my cousin’s all ordered skillets and they all said they enjoyed their specific skillet dishes. A really nice place to enjoy a relaxed breakfast and lunch by the Jersey Shore.

Just good breakfast food. Easily a place to hang out! I had the loaded grits although my picture is wrong. They were really good. It too stiff or watery! Perfect amount of scallions, peppers and cheese. My friends had the waffles and they were very satisfied too! So go ahead and enjoy!

Amy’s menu is huge! Overwhelming at first but the waitress was really nice and helped us work through what we wanted to try. All the choices were really good and they even had Minnie Mouse pancakes which my niece really enjoyed. One thing on the menu I did like was the fact you could order just one French toast or one waffle to go along with your main course which allows you to try more food without paying the price of another main course. The potato pancake was very thick so the inside potato was soggy and did not have any crisp to them which I did not enjoy.

This place is loved by locals and tourist. The place to go for a what seems to be about 100 ways to get an omlette. A fun variety of pancakes and french toast as well. The menu itself is a bit overwhelming almost too may options piled onto each page. But, if you quietly focus you will get your taste buds watering. The Canadian Border Omlette has Novo lox and Canadian ham with cheese. Comes with potatoes or upcharge to fruit or cottage cheese etc. Pigs in the blankets is pork sausage wrapped in pancakes. My guest enjoyed it. Attentive and quick service made it a nice 1st experience.

This is my first Unilocal review and after my breakfast at Amy’s in August I just had to share my experience here and send all the Jersey Shore beachgoers over to this place. The menu is huge but is separated into categories of fish, meat, healthy, etc. They have over 200 different omelettes, but I went with a turkey sausage omelette sandwich on French toast with syrup to dip. This was one of the greatest breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Nothing fell apart, each ingredient’s flavor stood out, it wasn’t too heavy, plus the potatoes on the side were a great treat. I also tried a bite of my brother’s omelette, I think it was the Irish, basically a potato skin in an omelette, that was amazing too. Service was great, restaurant was clean, and it’s located right outside Monmouth Beach for anyone looking for a great spot for breakfast before sitting near the waves. Hope to go back once more before the end of summer!

Coming to Amy’s for years. Still haven’t had everything on the menu. Over 200 inlets to choose from at really reasonable prices. Endless coffee, tea, or soda if you prefer. Kind and courteous staff make for an excellent dining experience. The waiters and waitresses are great people who work hard in a very busy restaurant to make sure each customer has a good experience. Always impressed by the sheer volume of people they serve. Call ahead to check the wait. It’s a big room, but they have a big fan base. Love the location, it’s great for a morning taking in the sunrise or walk on he beach and then filling up on an incredible breakfast. Value, options and a staff who cares. My kind of place!

Have been a fan of Amy’s for a very long time and my whole family always comes here. Unfortunately this last visit was gross enough to turn all of us away. First when the waitress brought over my drink right when I took it it was visible that there was a fly on top floating. Disgusted I asked for another in hopes the next would be fine. Later on during our meal I saw a small black curled hair on our dish and to my surprise there was ANOTHER fly in my water. So so grossed out.

Wife had a tuna sandwich and I had a burger with fries and a few onion rings, AKA The Deluxe Burger. Wife reports the tuna was a 9 on the 1 – 10 scale and I enjoyed the large burger. Both were served on warmed kaiser rolls. Service was a tad slowish, but nothing terrible. Fries were excellent, onion rings were just okay. The included cole slaw was great! Menu was like a diner’s. We both enjoyed it and will undoubtedly be back again. Thanks!

I’m a local. I walk to this plaza for Caputos torpedo rolls. The Vingo liquor store. The nail salon called Current One for waxing and nails. Fanagle for the occasional bagel. I know I should like Amy’s But I really don’t. The menu is ridiculously HUGE and if you look at the pricing carefully, none of it makes sense. If you are looking for value better read each and every choice and order appropriately. Most recent visit, Friday about 9:40am may 29, 2015. Not busy but not empty either. Ordered the eggs Benedict M-F breakfast special(which means coffee or juice is included in price). My husband and mother ordered off the regular menu. We all got coffee. I was wary about Benedict and my fears proved true. The poached eggs were under cooked so got that clear, runny egg white thing. It was delicious other than the fear of later repercussions. Husband and mother had no complaints about their food. Simple whole grain waffle and link sausage and can’t remember what it’s called but it’s the better value, 2 eggs, sausage, bacon and pancakes. My issue besides the under cooked poached eggs is that the waitress delivered our meal and coffee asked if we needed anything else and my husband asked for water. Tick tock. No water and no refills on coffee which the 3 of us really wanted. By the time she returned we just wanted to get out of there and got the check. Awful service. To cement our experience, the person at the register was annoyed she had to even run the credit card. She never even made eye contact or said thank you. She was however involved in a phone conversation telling the other end of the phone the manager wasn’t available. So I guess I am not the only one who had issues that day.

If u ever come south of Jersey(Long Branch) u gotta check out Amy’s. They have over 200 selections of omelettes and a multitude of other breakfast, lunch and dinner items as well. The inside is very comfortable and cozy with that diner feel. The waitress Dayliah was superb and she catered to all of our needs. She and the rest of the staff were real sweethearts. The price is reasonable for the large portions u get. Be warned, when u come here to eat u better bring a hefty appetite!
