Worst sandwich I’ve ever had. Ordered a regular American hero. Child cuts tasted cheap and old. For their ridiculous prices the hero should be made out of gold. Very disappointing. I work across the street we order did every day and we will never go back. Mediocre at best.

Prices are ridicules got a grilled chicken with lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado 9 dollars lol. My friend brought a bacon and egg with 2 eggs and charged 6.95. This is not 5th ave in manhattan. You got a come to reality that your charging 7 bucks for a lunch plate which is a platter, but your charging madison ave prices for basic items.

This place sells some amazing crumb cake cake. Never really purchased anything else but the location did seem clean and the employees seemed ok.

Stopped in because it was the only place around. Had their lunch plate. Got the chicken and rice and it came with a water. They threw in a piece of bread which came out to 7 and change. They look like they offer a variety of foods from sandwiches to pizza and wings. I am intrigued to go back and try their other things but only if i’m in that neighborhood again.

Where else are you going to go around here? Luckily the only option is a pretty good breakfast spot with seating and fast service. It’s a deli, great service and clean.

First time ordering from this place and I will never order again! Ordered a turkey BURGER… they sent me cold turkey cold cuts with NO buns or bread, with a side of something that looked like cottage cheese! Also ordered a grilled chicken sandwich that came with the thinnest slice of chicken i’ve ever seen in a bun that was at least 5x it’s thickness, and it came WITHOUT lettuce and tomatoes that I asked for. The pickle that it came with? When I went to break it in half, my finger went right through it!!! It looked and smelled rotten. Ordered and was charged for a Snapple that never came as well. When I called them to complain, they said they were out of turkey burgers, out of veggie burgers, and their deep fryer was broken. WTF? If they were out of turkey burgers they could have said that instead of taking it upon themselves to just send turkey cold cuts on a bed of browned lettuce. My finger still smells disgusting from that rotten pickle even after washing my hands. Ugh.

On the outskirts of Long Island City and Sunnyside, far away from mainstream businesses is this bright Deli and Pizzeria called Blinks. It caters to those in the area. They have free delivery but when you walk in the place is pretty clean considering they have been open for years. The seating is basic. It’s an average Deli that serves breakfast during the morning hours. I come by occasionally for my morning eggs w. cheese, bacon and home fries. I get my coffee at work, so I don’t usually order coffee. The scrambled eggs are good, light and abundant. The side of home fries mixed with peppers to give it an extra light kick of spiciness is also cooked well. The two slices of buttered toast are soft and moist as well, includes a pack of Kraft grape jelly. However, the bacon, I think is a little bit over done. All seems fresh. Besides the mentioned, I saw pancakes, french toast and omelet on the menu. The Deli portion is a handful variety of sandwiches(some by name: The Soprano), salads and paninis. My tuna sandwich was fresh and flavorful with the right texture. The tun sandwich included lots of fresh lettuce and tomatoes as well. They’ll include everything from napkins, packs of salt/pepper/ketchup, plastic fork/knife to a side of coleslaw and 2 pickles. I like when a place goes the slight extra length to include condiments, napkins and utensils because I don’t eat caveman style. There’s hot food being warmed like pasta and vegetable dishes. Burritos, burgers, BLT, gyros(not off the rack) and the pizzeria. The pizza being a little heavy on the crust and half way to decent on the cheese, not grand or anything special. There’s other stuff too like chips, drinks, bananas, soups, baked goods and I thought I saw a beer on tap(Samuel Adams? maybe, I would have to look again), not sure if it worked. The host: pleasant, greeted with a What can I get you? I would give this place three stars but for going the extra length with good tasting food, I give it 4 stars for the category it is in.

I have been getting my iced coffee here almost everyday for a year and a half. They know my order and confirm it yet for the 3rd time in 2 weeks they give me hazelnut and not my French vanilla. I HATE hazelnut. I end up throwing it away like the money I just spent there. Last straw I am officially done with this place!!! Warning if u go there check your order before leaving!

It doesn’t look like much but the service is great. The staff is quick to greet you and happy to take your order. They have different specials each day and I’ve yet to be disappointed.

Whenever I order pizza from this place I get excited and surprised. Before I get into it I think that depending on where you live and hour of the day it may take longer for them to deliver. I ordered pizza from them last week(this is not my first time) and they included paper plates, plastic cups, seasoning for the pizza and ice. YES they included ice simply because we ordered a two liter of pepsi. Their broccoli and chicken brick over pizza is delicious. Besides my occasional pizza ordering from them I’ve had their burgers. The price is worth it and their pizza burger is really good in my opinion. I haven’t had a bad experience with them yet so when and if I do I will be sure to let you know. As for their pizza its a win so far. But I can see why people think its expensive. I only order their pizza when I am craving broccoli and chicken because no other place in the LIC area does it right.

I wanted to believe they just had a bad day here and there but they’ve been having a bad week. Last Wednesday it took over an hour to get my order only a cold half of it arrived, after calling them the other half took another hour to get here which consisted of a sandwich and 2 cold soups. Yesterday my order took over an hour again… and today it was only a half hour but they gave me the wrong soup and its been about 40 minutes since they said they were bringing the correct one right over. Food also isn’t as good as it used to be. This used to be the place we ordered the most from at the office but now its well on its way to becoming a last resort since no one likes knowing that we will most likely be waiting at least an hour for a food order that will be missing something.

Blinks is the reason I started bringing in lunch to work everyday. They’re a block away and convenient if it’s 10 degrees out and I was too lazy to go to the supermarket the night before for cold cuts, but that’s the only reason I would go there. I have sworn off Blink’s after some… unpleasantness. of the food poisoning variety that lasted for 8 days. I wish I worked in Manhattan.

Dear Blinks, Maybe if you stopped giving every customer 50 napkins and 150 packets of ketchup, you could lower your exorbitant prices? You are the most expensive deli I have ever seen. I hate making such absolute statements, but this is absolutely true(EXHIBIT A: $ 2.50 for a small dannon yogurt). It would be one thing if your food and service was exceptional, but it is not even close to decent. Here is why: Anytime I walk in, there are least 4 people screaming at me «NEXT!» Your coffee is more expensive than Starbucks and tastes like it was made three weeks ago in a pile of dirt. $ 3 for a shot of espresso — HUH? No matter what I order, a chocolate chip cookie or a toasted english muffin, you give me at least 50(fancy) napkins, 15 salt and pepper packets, 6 jelly containers, 10 chewy pickles(unappealingly stored in baggies from the 1950s) and 20 packets of ketchup. Not to mention, you bag each item I purchase and then bag them all into one larger bag. Prices vary depending on the cashier. Does that seem fair to you? No matter what I get, once you«toast it’ it all tastes the same. Its hard to explain that taste, but after asking several coworkers, we would have to agree to describe it a greasy, stale, old-meat kind of flavor. You cant even make a grilled cheese sandwich taste good. I ordered one a few weeks ago and it was so soggy I had to throw it out. Next time, I asked for bread, cheese and tomato(to toast myself at the office) and it cost me $ 3 more than the grilled cheese! The way you exploit all of us LIC workers is despicable.

I come here every day for coffee(twice a day!), and the staff is all super nice. Pedro is the best! They always know what I want and like to have a quick chat. Sometimes I come for lunch: I highly recommend the grilled veggie panini with the amazing sweet potato fries!

Honestly, I got delivery from this place because it was the only one with a $ 5 minimum(as opposed to the usual $ 10). Chocolate cake — how can you mess that up? Whoo, boy, can you. I got my order quickly, sure, but chocolate cake it was not. Some kind of yellow spongy layers with light brown cream in between, covered with a dark brown coating. Despite the color, I wouldn’t call any of it «chocolate.» It tastes — no hyperbole here, only sad disappointment — like the inside of a nasty refrigerator. My roommate tried a disgusting bite too and deliberated whether she would eat the whole thing if someone paid her fifty bucks, or if it would take double that. My five bucks are gone and so is my appetite… and I didn’t even get a decent bite of the promised cake! Live and learn, I suppose, and I’ve learned that I’m never ordering from this place again.

For the longest time, this was the only SeamlessWeb selection in all of Sunnyside, Woodside. It also happened to be a breakfast stop for me when I was working off site and as a result I’ve tried most of the things on their menu. The verdict? Not bad, but like most places, there is always room for improvement. I’ll start off with the good things, after all I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the following: *Super quick in every regard. Customer service, deliveries, and food handling. A long line will become nonexistent within a couple of minutes. This is especially important since the place is already pretty small to begin with. However, there is enough room for lunch dates and colleague gatherings. *Service is prompt and they are polite on the phone. A smile in the morning goes a long way. *Bagels and breakfast platters are inexpensive, taste good, and are well portioned. *A big bonus is their home fries are shredded, giving them a «hashbrown» look. They’re a little too soft on some days and have a very grainy texture. Because they’re premade, bell peppers and onions will be included in every order. Just make sure to order them extra crispy for the hashbrown feel. Now the bad, it might get a little too long. *Sandwiches are a semi-disaster here. Most of the wheat /multibread combos I’ve requested were falling apart before I was able to pick them up. The subs are not a bad choice per se, but ordering it with potato salad is a sure way to get a soggy sandwich. Yes, they mix it all together. *They call themselves a «Deli & Pizzeria» but the pizza is really lacking. The crust is flimsy, the cheese is soggy, and the sauce is a mess. They might want to reconsider just being called a Deli. *Pasta options are limited and what they do have is pretty bland. I had spaghetti here not long ago and it was a waste of a pasta, drenched in sauce and so bland that it was forgettable. *Soggy is the only way I can describe their fries. While some folks prefer the Mickey D’s crispy and salty, this place is limp like a noodle. No, that’s not a viagra reference. Very few places are perfect, thus I won’t hold this place to any high standards since most deli /diners are generic anyway. The food could use an extra kick of freshness and make sure to find something good in the menu and stick with it.
