Sadly I no longer work in this area but I used to frequent this place often and spend alot of money here! Breakfast platters were always on point, sandwiches were great, and the hot food combos were amazing! For a deli/small dinner the originality of this place was also very unique. Every week or so there’d be a new lunch menu with different names for their sandwiches like the«Thanksgiving» or «Da Bomb!!». Although the area of Long Island City could be considered gritty, dirty, and mostly industrial the prices were on the high side for this establishment but so was everywhere else. The store overall was very clean however and the bathroom was accessible and clean at all times. One day when I’m back in the area I will gladly return.

They serve breakfast all day, and have TURKEYBACON! I love turkey bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches with ketchup, salt and pepper at 8PM. I usually order here for pick up via Grubhub, and they’re always on time and delicious. The cashiers and deli men are also always very nice.

I feel like I order here because I don’t have much choices. They do make the food good yet the service is bad the phone representatives have bad attitudes always rushing. No faith in this spot anymore. I’ve wanted to Unilocal a few times but always held myself back. I picked up an order today instead of waiting for the delivery(which can take a long time) and still got my order wrong. The manager is never available on the spot and I have to call back or wait for a call back. They replaced my food today and asked if I want to replace my incorrect food other times(so you can see this is not a first error) but who knows what will happen to the food or the new food prepared. And it’s a plain bagel I request for but I can taste hints of onion! Yuck!

This used to be my favorite place to order my breakfast but lately, they are always forgetting something from my order! Then i have to wait for them to make a new one and its a major inconvenience. I will say the customer service is good since I’ve never received an attitude about them forgetting something, which I’ve had happen with other restaurants. The food is decent and inexpensive. I just wish they were reliable :/

Sometimes I have a little too much wine on a work night, and because I’m over 30 I now am on the receiving end of hangovers. It basically sucks. But you know what doesn’t suck? A breakfast wrap with eggs, spinach, cheese and bacon delivered to my face at my office within 15 mins of ordering it. I’ve never been inside, only delivery service and it is pretty top notch and stupid quick.

I was not impresed with this place, first of all the service was terrible, the food was ok nothing to write home about. I found it very expensive for the quality and quantity of the food… Will NOT be going back

Diner food in café form, sent out in deliveries by the dozen and just enough seating for a few, that about sums up Fresco Deli Café. A primary stop for folks hanging out at the nearby Laguardia Community College, it was once a frequent lunch spot of mine and easy option for breakfast on the go. When things didn’t work out, delivery was always a reliable alternative. The food is adequate for takeout /diner standards, and far cheaper than most places. For the most part, the price tag matched the food, as most of it is just slapped together before making its way to be delivered somewhere. It’s by no means gourmet, I’ve had omelettes that looked like road kill before, despite the fact they tasted decent. They never seem to have enough home fries throughout the day, so expect a lot of substitution with fries. Sandwiches are my thing here, like the black forest ham and cheddar or turkey avocado with peppers. The bread is not remarkable but they usually do a solid job of stuffing it so there’s something in every bite. It won’t cost you more than $ 4 – 5, and the bagels are also in the $ 1 – 3 range. Consider avoiding the pizza, in any form. You’ve been warned. Pricing is obviously reasonable and the service is decent. Phone orders can get a tad tricky at times, so try to utilize online delivery if possible. SInce they operate primarily during the day time, just beware they have no dinner options as they close at 7pm every day.

In this bizarre stretch of Queens Blvd. where I work, there are just NO good lunch options. Long Island City is just not walkable enough, Astoria is all the way over the bridge, and sometimes Sunnyside and 39th Street just seem too far. When I need a quick lunch, I usually go to Fresco, and they really are not that bad. The salads are completely average, and the heros are HUGE, so my favorite thing to get here is a panini. They use nice thick cut bread, don’t overgrill, and it’s really filling. They also know what they’re doing when it comes to grilled chicken; it’s always juicy and tender.

I’m surprised I haven’t already reviewed Fresco. I work in an area on the border of Sunnyside and Long Island City, and we are basically in the middle of nowhere and we are a long walk to any restaurants or places for lunch. I feel as though my company spends at least $ 250 per week on Fresco — we all know the number by heart. However, it’s well deserved. All of the food is fresh and delicious and tastes like real soul food — I love how there are chunks of fresh herbs and garlic in almost everything, and their sandwiches and wraps are delicious. The woman who answers the phone already knows my voice by heart, and she’s the sweetest. Everyone there is really cheerful and nice — it’s nice to be treated like a regular. I typically steer clear of their egg breakfasts, but they have great lunches. I love the Mediterranian wrap with grilled chicken(it’s fresh mozzarella, grilled veggies and olive tapenade), the Santa Fe wrap(turkey, pepperjack cheese, avocado, onion & salsa on a sun dried tomato wrap) or the Grecian panini(grilled chicken, feta cheese, olives, veggies and pesto mayo). Their salads are huge and filling(although EXPENSIVE) and their buffet is pretty great — they make delicious pastas, spinach pie, meatballs, chicken with mushrooms, Swedish meatballs, you name it. They also have fun weekly sandwich and wrap specials to change it up.

It’s alright. Why do diner/café/pizzeria gyros always taste the damn same. Their smoothie was good.

In the week and a half I was in Queens, I became a regular at this little café. The bagel prices are excellent($ 2.95 for a bagel and cream cheese), the bagel sandwiches(I had one with green peppers, onions and cheese) were delish, the gyro and triple decker sandwiches(roast beef, pastrami and swiss, mmm!) were out of this world. Either I was REALLY hungry or this place is just THAT good. Whatever it was, I kept going back. In addition to what I tried, they have a salad bar, a large selection of sandwiches, and a bunch of hot items for lunch. They’re open until 2pm and serve breakfast the whole time; perfect for late starters like myself. Drink options include smoothies, coffee, tea and lots of bottled beverages. There is a $ 5 minimum if you’re going to be using a credit card, but they have an ATM if you need cash.

This is a great place to grab lunch with colleagues or friends. I was in the area for a work assignment and decided to find something close by in the neighborhood. Their sandwiches are geniunely fresh and tasty. Prepared right in front of you at their counter/kitchen exactly the way you want it. I had the Mamaitas sandwich– avocados, smoked turkey, roasted red peppers, munster cheese, and L/T with pesto mayo. Muy caliente! I had breakfast in the morning, their egg & sausage on a roll was very good. It was off to a great start in the day! And I love that they let you customize the coffee to a T! I had an hazelnut iced coffee with soy milk! Yum! It had a smooth & creamy texture. Hazelnut coffee is just amazing! It adds the right amount of flavoring and rich aroma to spice up any cup of coffee! And on Fri’s special, all bakery pastries are 50 cents off! What a deal! Def check this place out.

fresco can be a hit or a miss but anytime it’s a miss they are very redeeming. i’ve been working in the area for a few years and the staff has always been great about correcting any mess ups. the soup is a godsend when i’m sick and for the most part pretty decent. the sandwiches and wraps are gigantic and delicious. the prepared lunch stuff is sometimes ok.

After having terrific food when it opened the quality has gone downhill in the last six months. Sandwich meat looks like it was pre-cut ready for service rather than sliced fresh per order. The vegetables are always too cold, they just sit there on trays getting a little heat from the oven before they serve you. Daily specials can sometimes exist two days in a row. The hotplate is either too tall or has too many items stacked on top that its difficult to see the servers behind .You find yourself talking to them through the glass. The same servers must be the rudest I’ve ever come across. All they want to do is shout«Next» ‘Next” to get you out of their way .Some manners would be nice guys after all we are the paying customers .My biggest gripe with Fresco is when your meal is ready it gets carried to the register and you then join the line to pay for it. So someone at the salad counter or someone just buying a Coke or a piece of fruit is in front of you while your food is sitting there getting cold. It can be a 10min wait sometimes which is too long on your lunch hour. Other times I will say the line is not as long. The cashiers are very friendly and efficient and deserve better from their fellow staff. Most local restaurants in the area offer College staff/Student discounts, Fresco hasn’t offered anything that I’m aware of. If anything they have increased their prices since opening. There are a lot of food choices in this neighborhood where one can get better food cheaper.

Still learning the neighborhood since I am working in the area twice a week. Was so glad that the rain and cold wind pushed me inside! The small shop offers the standard sandwiches and salads at low prices and high-quality ingredients. I have visited twice and been surprised by the value, friendliness, and efficient service. Their salads start with a base of greens – 2.95 for a small, 3.95 for a large. Add-ins include the standard items and range from .50 for most of the veggies up to 2.00 for grilled chicken. Artichokes and stuffed grape leaves are among the more creative ingredients. Even better, the bleu cheese was kept refrigerated! All toppings were generously scooped up and in before I chose from ten or more dressing options. Happy after my first visit, I returned to snag a sandwich for my lunch. I ordered a BLT with cheese as a wrap. Enough bacon for my taste. And that takes A LOT. Fresh veggies, adequate cheese and, best of all, no mayonnaise – just like I ordered it! In the container with my wrap, I got a slice of melon, a wedge of orange, and a generous helping of cole slaw served up in a cabbage scoop. Nice accouterments, though the slaw had green and red pepper – yuck. Still, for the typical sandwich shop, the sides were a nice accent to make my wrap a meal. All told, each meal was just over 6.00 including the obligatory Diet Coke. Good value for good food. Oh, yeah, for the coffee drinkers and egg eaters there are multiple brews and a wide range of eggy breakfast sandwiches.

Across the street from the 7 train, it gets a new wave of customers every 8 minutes around commute time. Coffee and a bagel here can’t be beat in the immediate area. They have just about anything you can think of. Quick service and reasonable prices.
