I love me some curry at Malaysian restaurants in Chinatown or Flushing. but Curry Station kicks it up a notch with their homemade Malaysian curry. This family owned business serves some of the best curry I’ve ever had. This Malaysian curry is more of a dry sauce and it kick ass! I had their fishball first and I was sold, came back for their sampler which includes fishballs, pork belly, squid, and shrimp. :) all of that with some sautéed cabbage on top of a heaping amount of rice and some diced cucumber to cool off your taste buds from their fiery curry. Not that I mind, the spicier the better for me: D Keep it up guys!!!

Awesome little gem of a spot tucked inside LIC Flea. LIC Flea in general has a while to go before it can truly rival Smorgasburg but this little spot definitely makes a trip to LIC Flea worth it! I got there a little later in the day and they had sold out of the fish balls :(but I tried the chicken and the spice they packed in it was perfect! I’m from India so I love my spice and they definitely delivered! The curry chicken had a perfect amount of spice for my taste and never got to the point where it’s just too overpowering. Hopefully I can try the fish balls next time.

At LIC Flea, I filled my mouth with balls of fish. And chicken. And shrimp. Oh lordy, lordy, it was good. But super spicy! Mmmmm.

I came to Curry Station last week during opening weekend and was able to try the chicken and shrimp curry. The fish ball version seemed to be their most popular variety because it was sold out by the time I arrived(late in the day). The owners said they would stock more of it in the coming weeks though :). I must say that the flavor is spot-on for authentic Malaysian curry. Every bite is packed with flavor. It is definitely spicy, but the spiciness compliments the dishes very well. The owners said that they made their curry sauce from scratch, and if you’re someone who wants to kick up the spice another notch, they had extra spicy sauce to add(also homemade) that gave the dish an extra kick. I tried it and it made the chicken and shrimp curry taste even better! Another thing: the texture of the meat was PERFECT. The chicken was tender and juicy, cut into bite sized pieces and easy to eat. I can’t really describe it, but the shrimp was perfect to bite into as well. Not overcooked, not dry, and not TOO chewy. I also tried the barley drink that they offered and it was a very refreshing. It was cooling, and I’m glad that they did not over-sweeten it. The prices are also very affordable. For under $ 15 you get to sample their entire menu! I will be returning for more this summer :).

Awesome place for some curry fish balls/shrimp/chicken. The staff is very friendly and they serve authentic Malaysian style food. They also have barley tea to help cool your mouth down afterwards if you can’t handle the spice. They are still adding new items to the menu so I will definitely stay on the lookout for these guys.

I concur with the prior reviewer! This place is hot! Food: I love spice, spicy foods, intense flavors, etc. The curry fish balls were my wife’s favorite and my personal favorite was the shrimp. I believe that many of my friends from Hong Kong will love the spicy curry fish balls in Malaysian Style because it’s so close to what we can get while on the street in Hong Kong. There really isn’t anything like it! Fish balls are the chicken nuggets of Hong Kong — they’re everywhere, but the good ones are rare. A well-spiced fish ball is even more difficult to find, and Curry Station’s fish balls are as tasty as the best I’ve ever had. The owners foresaw the intensity of the heat of their foods, so they also serve this amazing Barley Drink, which I preferred to have without the ice. Perhaps an Asahi Super Dry beer(or some other Asian Beer like Tsingdao) will be sold in the near future? LIC Flea has recently featured the up-and-coming of Queens County’s ambitious potential restaurateurs. It appears that one of the stepping stones into the Queens Market is LIC Flea. All patrons at LIC Flea seem very sophisticated and demand top-of-the-line foods, with price not being a primary concern. At Curry Station, I got to sample everything for $ 10, so it was very price competitive and I recommend the combo! I look forward to Curry Station expanding its menu to things like Curry Beef Skewers and other complex Malaysian-style vegetable dishes. For convenience, I also hope that credit cards are accepted soon — maybe the merchants will find a way to be an American Express Exclusive merchant for lower fees. Oh, and the owners are fellow Unilocalers, yay!
