Service is spotty. A lot of telephone sympathy but no improvement.
Have two newspapers delivered in Midtown East for
10 years. Delivery person refuses to get off elevator
and rolls up the papers in a red rubber band, and
throws it halfway down the hall in the direction of my door.
Same for my next door neighbor. Papers are shredded.

About every three weeks, Mitchell’s fails to deliver my Barrons magazine on Saturday. I am trying to get Barrons to use a different courier. Mitchell’s is the WORST delivery service. My advice: find another. Any other is better, cause they cannot be less reliable than Mitchells.

Reliable delivery service. I have been getting my newspapers for years from Mitchell’s and never have had any issues or problems. I have changed addresses multiple time sand their customer service has always been a pleasure to deal with.

Mitchell’s has delivered my Sunday Times for 8 years now and has never missed a delivery. My paper has always arrived early in the morning no matter what the weather. If you want reliable delivery, use Mitchell’s. Sometimes when I travel I need to cancel my delivery and their customer service is excellent and they handle the request with friendly service.

Whatever you do, do NOT get involved with these people!
We used Mitchell’s for over 20 years and never had a complaint or problem in all that time. Then, about 6 months ago, problems started happening, and whenever we called about them, we got rude and unpleasant responses and no action.
One time, I called to adjust our delivery schedule for the summer, which had never been a problem in any of the 20 previous years. This time, however, they made a big deal of it, and the woman «RJ» (Rachida Joshua) actually called my husband to make sure that the changes I had made were OK with him! Can you believe it?!
So, Mitchell’s is inefficient, rude, and sexist. Stay away.

When I wrote my review, 6 of 7 reviews were 1-​star. Mis-​delivery, non-​delivery, late delivery, delivery en masse to lobby, etc. as cited by the other reviewers and also experienced by me. Stopped NY Daily News subscription because of Mitchell’s poor service, and told News service rep who offered me a discount – oh, I can pay less to get less than what I pay for? No thanks. Nevermore.

Always on time – even during Hurricane Sandy! Quickly addresses any errors without questioning. Excellent service!

Hate them. I, too, suffer from non-​delivery, mis-​delivery, incomplete papers, papers in the lobby instead of my front door. I just canceled today. I will search for other deliverers. Newspapers are dying and I can’t believe they’d settle for these morons ruining the delivery of their product. I have the NY Post, NY Times, WSJ and NY Magazine delivered. One-​by-​one, I’ll rearrange service with each of them. What a pill.

Unfortunately, if you live in at least certain parts of Manhattan and order delivery service directly from the NY Daily News and the NY Post, they contract out delivery «service» to Mitchell’s.
Mitchell’s Newspaper Delivery «Service» consists of leaving my paper — when they deign to show up at all — in front of my neighbors’ doors, way down the hall, around the corner then down the hall, in a giant pile in the lobby, thrown from down the hall as if there was a massive wind storm in the hallway.
I cancelled my subscriptions with both the Post and Daily News after the lack of delivery this morning (I found out later that they left all the papers for the building in a pile in the lobby, which does NOT count as delivery). When the customer service at the Daily News said that they might possibly be able to find another carrier, I said that I want nothing more to do with Mitchell’s and to cancel my subscription, because I will only accept delivery again when they get a reputable carrier.
Oh, and far from being an isolated situation, I had similar problems when I lived in another Manhattan neighborhood and had my papers (mis)delivered by Mitchell’s, as subcontractors.

This is the most incompetent service in NYC, they know it and not in the least bit apologetic about it.
I pay for newspaper delivery 5 times a week. I receive it on average of 2 times a week. This means I do NOT receive 60% of what I pay for.
I called them to tell them I was not receiving what I paid for and the ‘customer service’ woman responds by saying ‘I’m not surprised” !!! I ask them to at least reimburse me for what I paid for and did not receive and she says «we donts reimburse nuthin» (direct quote). At least they have ‘educated, dedicated’ people there.
Consider yourself warned. Do NOT give these people business if you expect to get what you paid for or have your business treated with respect.

After being satisfied for years, the delivery service provided has become intolerable.
I take both Barrons and the wall Street Journal, and there have been five missed deliveries in three weeks. My apartment is just a couple blocks from their office.
This is one miserable service. Look around for other options before you sign on with these people.

This delivery service started out with exceptional service; however, in the last 6 months the service has become deplorable. I didn’t realize when I paid for home delivery of the News and Post that I would have to call several times per week in order to actually RECEIVE the papers. The frustration associated with their poor service far outweighs the slight inconvenience of having to purchase the papers at a news stand. If you have another option, take it!
