This place thankfully *cares* about what they serve their customers in a time when losing touch with food — whether through processed crap or generic chain offerings — is more and more common. It’s a small operation and when you order something it may take a little more time to prepare, but it’s worth the wait. I will definitely return after trying their nova bagel special, which had fresh and delicious lox, capers, tomato and pickled onions(nice touch!). For kicks I added fresh scallions to plain cream cheese. Their everything bagel was excellent, and the tea offerings were varied(no ghastly Lipton here, I’m happy to report). I’m eager to try their fabled coffee next time as well. About some of the negative reviews: come to grips people… sometimes mistakes happen. But here’s the rub: start a dialog! This is your food; they’re making it with quality ingredients, and it’s apparent they want to serve a better experience. Stop treating places like this as if they are overgrown vending machines and start asking questions. Eating healthy isn’t solely about ingredients, but also establishing a connection with your food and who provides it. This is an excellent place to start(the jazz doesn’t hurt either

Asked for a cinnamon raisin bagel that was toasted. This is what I received. There is a different between toasted well and burnt. And they could see that this bagel was burnt. However it was still wrapped and given to me. Once I got to the office I had a burnt bagel. Unacceptable. I couldn’t even attempt to eat it. A waste of $ 2.50. And I really liked this place but I will not be going here again if they can serve a burnt bagel like this with no consideration for the consumer. Smh.

Had a meeting here, and while that might not be recommended, the bagels are! Delicious coffee and a great get-away place to get some work done in the area. Buy Local!

The coffee here is straight-up delicious. In a neighborhood that is severely lacking decent coffee, Triple Shot World Atlas Café is a hidden gem with its cozy, neighborhood vibe. I worked in LIC for almost two years before discovering it, and I’m so glad I did. I truly look forward to coming here for the coffee AND atmosphere. They also serve a tasty Greek yogurt cup topped with fresh fruit and granola. This is NOT your typical Greek yogurt – it’s the thick, creamy, rich kind that keeps you full even past lunch time. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because of the credit card minimum.

A diamond in the rough. This is a great spot for a quick stop. They were flexible with their laptop policy because it was early and quiet. Will definitely be back. I just wish they had a restroom!

Food and coffee are ok — bagel contents seemed on the slimmer end. Worst part is no laptops between 11am to 3pm.

Bagels are delicious! Their coffee is fantastic.(I’m very picky about coffee) and this place has great coffee so that’s a big plus for me. :-)

Overall I really appreciated this place! I am a self-proclaimed naughty vegetarian(meaning that I am a strict vegetarian 95% of the time but other 5% is when weakness sets and I eat some seafood). Today was a weak day!!! I had the scallion lox, which was chock full of everything you could possibly wish for, on a delicious(perfectly toasted) everything bagel! It hurt a bit to fork over 8 bucks for it but after I already paid I saw their veggie options were like half the price(there is probably a lesson I should be learning from that! lol). The woman that attended me seemed nice enough, although she did stare at me a bit too much, but she still served me politely. I would definitely come back to try their coffee(I work somewhere that serves coffee so I was already well caffeinated). Long story long, worth the visit!

In an area that is sorely lacking in food options, this coffee spot is definitely welcome. ½ block from Queensboro Train Stop(N\7). The bagels are spectacular(try the Pinto: ham/swiss/egg/avo)!

I love their espresso drinks but not too crazy about their iced coffee. I can’t explain the taste but it’s just strange. The bagel sandwiches are SO good. Bagel of your choice with any 4 toppings for only $ 4.75! What a deal. I come here quite often and the Greek barista is always pleasant and friendly.

Located in a neighborhood that is in major deficit of coffee shops and restaurants, I really wanted to like Triple Shot. Like, really gave it a shot(pun intended). The place is cute enough and the couple who’s there in the morning(the owners, I presume) are also very friendly. However, the cold brew was pretty average and at $ 4 a cup, that’s pretty steep for average coffee. That said, I will be back to try their bagels which others have raved about.

The food here is definitely good, I had the lox bagel with scallion and avocado which was tasty. However, I have no idea why everyone raves about the service. The older man who took my order misheard my request for a hot coffee for hot chocolate. After telling him that, I received rude looks and he told a younger guy to confirm with me that it was a coffee before giving me the correct drink. On top of that, I paid by creditcard and the older man accused me of taking the signed receipt. After asking me 3 times if I took the receipt, he then reprinted the receipt and made me sign another one(I sure hope I’m not charged twice) Overall, the food was definitely good, but the service wasn’t that great. The prices are also ridiculous. It’s tough enough waking up in the morning and commuting to work, let alone deal with bad customer service. So I’d take my money and go elsewhere for better service and more affordable food next time. I really wanted to like this spot sigh…

Came here for a quick breakfast with my bf and we absolutely loved it. We ordered a cold brew ice coffee on tap and the Scallion Lox Sandwich on a bagel. The coffee was smooth and strong which I liked and the sandwich was AMAZING! The sandwich was a bit over priced at $ 7 so I don’t imagine coming here everyday but I definitely want to try the other bagel sandwiches. Scallion Lox Sandwich — Everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese, sliced cucumber for crunch, lox for saltiness, avocado, and tomato.

I must’ve walked past here a million times living in LIC, but today i finally stopped by to try their coffee. Very good. I’d say Starbucks quality. Friendly service. I shall return.

I’m normally a sucker for Starbucks(don’t hate me), but there isn’t a Starbucks that is close to my new job, so I stumbled into this place. The prices are on-par with what Starbucks charges(except that you don’t get free refills on tea and coffee with the Gold Card). I agree with what the storefront placard says, «the coffee doesn’t suck.» In fact, the coffee is quite strong, and for $ 3.50 you can get a strong double-shot iced-Americano made by a handsome Italian man– and he won’t take down your name and call you by another name. In addition to their coffee, they also serve reasonably-priced bagel sandwiches for $ 4.75 which includes 4 items inside of your bagel. Among those items includes, but are not limited to: prosciutto, ham, turkey, chicken, avocado, pepper, mozzarella, olive paste, tomato, etc. It’s a great place to grab a snack on the way to the train(the closest being the Queensboro Plaza station). And hey, why not support a local business?

This is a review for the coffee only! I haven’t had their pastries/food that much to really review it yet. I kept passing this place on my way to and from work, at first glance it looks like your hole in the wall with some artistic flare. I finally let myself splurge on coffee(meaning let my self spend more than the free kind I can make at home) and Holey Cowsicle I fell in love! Now I HAVE to get a cup of coffee(hot or iced) from here when I know it will be a hectic/demanding day at work(I guess I should really be grateful that those days aren’t every day). What I’ve learned! Tips: Simple syrup adds volume! So ask the friendly guy to leave some room. Some of you may already know this — But! when you’re running low on sleep your chemistry know how just isn’t that readily available.(reminds me of the time I tried to pass the turnstile without swiping my metrocard — oh sleep…) — Add this if you get iced coffee, the last thing you want on your commute to work is a big drag of sugar then an drag of unsweetened coffee. Know your coffee habits! If you are person that likes lots of milk, remember to ask for room, say about 30% or so, or even half(I know who you are *ahemronaldahem*). This will prevent leakage~ There are other flavored syrups behind the counter, and yes they cost extra. But their coffee is so delicious! Everyone is entitled to their biases. If you have always liked coffee with a nutty flavor to it then you’ll love the coffee here. P. S. $ 10 minimum sign for cards by the register, however I could swear I paid $ 5.change during one of my visits with card. ~My memory is so fickle in the wee hours of the morning.

I come to Atlas almost everyday Mon-Fri on my way to work. I absolutely love the«Crazy Vegan» on blueberry bagel with a coffee combo. The prices are reasonable, the coffee is spectacular and sometimes they have cool desserts like chocolate cake or pie that are slamming; big portions too. The owner is super friendly and is cool to chat with when time permits. This place is really for the grab and goers. It’s tiny and theres not a lot of seating. The«No Laptops from 11a-5p rule,» is really for the customers who want to eat their meals there. We all know what it like to order a drink, finish it in 10 minutes and hog a table for another 45 while watching cat videos on Youtube. With that said, the Bebop-era ambience makes it hard not to want sit down, sip on a coffee and read your book to sounds of Coltrane which I’m pleased to say, the owner is totally cool with.

Atlas Café is a great place to grab coffee and high quality lunch around Queensboro Plaza. I’ve been coming here for years due to their great sandwiches and salads and I have not been disappointed a single time! The owners are awesome and I wish everyone took as much pride in their work and products as these guys. To all the people who complain about the laptop rule: Be realistic. The place is small and it is totally understandable that you can’t have the few tables blocked by people who camp there for hours.

I stop at this little oasis on the south side of the vast, gloomy and grim Queens Plaza nearly every day before work. The coffee is good. I’d say it’s the best on or near Queens Plaza, but that wouldn’t be saying much since the competition consists of bodegas and Dunkin Donuts. They also have good a selection of pastries and bagels. For lunch, you’ll find an inventive selection of Italian pannini and creative, cleverly named salads. If you have the misfortune of being near Queens Plaza in LIC, I’d definitely recommend seeking refuge here for a coffee or quick lunch.

The coffee is really good and the staff is very very friendly. 5 $ cc minimum, but they let me use my card the first time I was there before I knew which was nice of them. This place was on my way to work so I would grab coffee if I needed and sometimes get lunch. The salads are just ok. Its more so the dressing than the salad, dressing is very vinegar heavy. They are very good about grabbing you a side of bread.
