This café is new and located upstairs in 5280 Trainers. I visited this past Saturday for a quick breakfast after my morning run. This place had a nice, relaxed vibe. I liked the décor — it had natural feel with burlap coffee sacks and warm wood tones. The chairs were very cushy and comfortable too — a blessing, I’m sure, after a tough workout! There were a couple of tvs on either wall, and a nice seated bar that looked over the batting cages and training area of the gym. The staff was bright and friendly and were quick with menu recommendations. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and a side of fruit. I’m a big fan of breakfast burritos and this one did not disappoint. I topped it with a dash of Oskar Blues’ yellow pils honey siracha sauce. It was delicious and filling so the light, fresh side fruit salad was the perfect mate. While seated I received a free sample of their yummy Moo Operator — a smoothie with chocolate syrup, strawberries, banana and milk. I would have loved to order a smoothie to take with me on the way out but I was much too full to order anymore. I do plan to try the Hot Date on my next visit though. Overall it was a great experience and I strongly recommend a visit for a casual lunch with great taste and great value — post workout or not!
