I admit I am not a fan of automated answer systems. I also do not check myself out at stores. The technician repaired all poor functions quickly and explained all I needed. We love Direct TV. Once in past we tried a Deal from another co. We went quickly back to Direct.

I signed up for DirecTV and agreed to a price and package with the salesperson. A week or so later the installation technician came and told me that a DVR upgrade would be free. After installing it he handed me his tablet to sign that I had received the DVR. I received nothing in writing at this time. A month later, I received a bill with $ 100 in charges for the DVR that was«free». I called and explained the situation, and was met with no help. It was past the grace period(which no one had mentioned before) to change my service, even though I had not been made aware of the extra fee before this time. They are very friendly while they tell you that they will be keeping your money, at least. The service is okay at best, with a confusing and near unusable on demand system, and the DVR records the wrong channel sometimes for no discernible reason. Some of the channels that appear on live tv but are inexplicably absent from on demand. I would definitely not recommend DirecTV.

Terrible NHL center ice service. We are only ten games into the season. I asked customer service why none of the games I recorded over the last few weeks showed that they recorded, however recodered dead air. I was blamed for not making sure they were already being played on a local channel. I live in CO and I am a penguins fan-sorry, but any local penguins games played here are once a month if I’m lucky. I’ve recently been out of town for business and they are holding me responsible for not making sure all the preset recordings are not conflicting with being locally aired, which they were not. I have already pre-paid them two months for nhl center ice=$ 70. I will be asking for a portion of my money back but I will definitely update this report after I talk to billing tomorrow.

Direct TV was good for us for about a year. But then the prices went up and it is too expensive. Also, the customer service isn’t great, we called to see if they could lower our prices and they said no.

Great service in our area. A little pricy but mostly with it. Signal is strong. Won’t switch anytime soon.

See if you can get them to tell you what the last 12 months of a 2 year contract is without giving them your SSN. I can see what they advertise the first 12 months for but you have to sign a 2 year contract and I could not get them to tell me what the last year would cost. The lady said that if I did not give her my social security number this conversation is over… and she hung up. WOW
