Dizzy Family Fun Center

Our first experience at Dizzy’s was attending another child’s bday party. My girls had a good time up until the moment when, in a freak accident, my daughter fell off the bouncy slide and broke her arm. It was no fault of Dizzy’s but honestly felt like we wouldn’t be back. Then another friend organized a charity night there. I’m not sure of the exact details, but basically, on off nights, Dizzy’s will open and some portion of proceeds for that night will go to whatever charity is hosting. We were nervous, but went to support my friends. Despite a less than stellar turnout, the place was fully staffed with kind and attentive workers. Because it wasn’t as crowded, my daughter was able to explore and re-​try activities (looking at you, bouncy slide) and had a great time. I felt like our bad experience was replaced by a fabulous one. Dizzy’s was redeemed, plus I had no idea they were that supportive of non-​profit needs. I was impressed and hope others will give Dizzy’s a try. Money on the arcades goes quickly, but there is a lot else to explore and do. It’s a good place :)

Fortunately Dizzy’s popped up on maps and we headed over. For $ 5 toddler got to do a big circuit of slides and climbing and bouncing while we sat on a bench and enjoyed a very buttery pretzel with spicy cheese (yum!) and some beer/​iced tea. This place is perfect for wearing out little ones on a rainy day!
We obviously didn’t do anything except the play area (daughter is 23 months at time of visit) but it seemed like there were a lot of cool things for older kids, too!

Kids day is all day Weds, only $ 7 and includes a great kids lunch! You can also add $ 3 for some arcade tokens, so for a whopping $ 10 your kid is fed and entertained for hours! I think it’s the best deal in the area, (as many places also charge for adults to enter). The owner is always here and very nice and helpful… they even gave me a cell phone charger to borrow when I needed one. My 3.5 year old and I also find plenty of age appropriate games in the arcade, such as skee ball, whack-​a-​mole, hoops, and lots more. I would definitely recommend it for anyone with children. I haven’t tried the laser tag room, but I’m sure that’s great for the older kids as well!

We had a large group (40) that went to Dizzy’s and we all had a really good time. The Staff and ownership was really helpful in explaining all of our options and what would be best for our group. The cost was very reasonable for a night’s worth of laser tag, laser maze, arcade games and food and drinks.
We didn’t have any issues with service or long wait times for anything.

Today was our first time visiting here. I was stoked to take my kiddos here; my daughter is 2 and a half and my son is 10 months. Parents and I’m assuming anyone under the age of 1 is free expect if you want to do laser tag. I thought it was a overall good experience. They have bouncy houses, two ball pits, bouncy slides, a trampoline, little driving cars, an arcade area, food court etc. We will be going here again, for sure. Some of the Unilocal reviews down below about the violent games are true, I’m not a huge fan of that part, but we didn’t play any of them and I just tried to keep our focus and our attention on the kids play area. Unfortunately gun games are apparently «fun» for «older» kids. I’m not looking forward to my kids seeing and being introduced to that part of life quite yet. Let’s let kids be kids and not expose them to things like that. There are tons of games out there and killing deer though it may be a way of life and eating for some folks, it shouldn’t be a «game». Especially at a kid place. 4 stars.

I love this place! Variety of play options suitable for all ages, separate room with free WiFi for parents. Food, reasonable prices, all equipment well maintained, friendly and outgoing staff that approach with family fun as their priority! A great way to spend time letting your kids play, great place for kids parties! I like that customer satisfaction is their priority and that I walk in hearing kids laugh, seeing them smile and play and act like kids!

Incredible addition to the Longmont area — great for the family and for adults with two pool tables and libations. I don’t have to drive to Loveland or Thornton anymore for a night out with my family and friends!!! Woo hoo!

We were so excited about Dizzy opening in Longmont; our family-​friendly community lacks indoor opportunities for kids, so we couldn’t wait to try Dizzy’s out.
My husband first took our kids and came back with solid reviews of the kids play area. However, I took the kids back today and was unimpressed.
First, I will say that the concept is good: provide a wide-​variety of activities for the family, with a lounge area for adults, a café, laser tag, and more, at a good price.
In execution, though, it doesn’t really work. The facility is enormous, but only a small amount of space is devoted to a little kids area. Today there was probably 100 kids crammed into this area; after 40 minutes, my kids were exhausted from fighting the crowd. The attractions are also geared towards smaller kids. One fun area is designated 0 – 4 only, and the other play area is about the size of a McDonald’s play place. Once my kids had explored it a few times, they got bored. While there is a jumpy house and slide, there are not enough of either attraction to make it really fun. We left after an hour because it was so crowded and my kids had done all there was to do.
When we took a break for a snack, we walked over into the arcade area. This part of the space feels cavernous because there are a lot of empty tables with just a few games. My biggest problem, though, was the video games themselves. The game that faces the dining area is Big Buck, a hunting game where kids are encouraged to kill animals using guns and are cheered on at each stage by a scantily-​clad co-​ed. Totally inappropriate for a «kid-​friendly» arcade! In the same area, there is an Alien-​themed shoot-​em-​up game that requires the kids to use enormous rifles to play. The game faces the café & bathrooms, so there’s no way around the violence if you want to use the whole facility. I can see these types of games fitting in at Dave & Busters, but in a «family fun center?» No thank you.
The rest of the arcade is similar: not really geared towards kids, but more towards adults. They should rethink their choice of game, reorganize the arcade area to create more actual play space for older kids, and shrink their dining area to half its size.
We probably won’t go back to Dizzy after our disappointing experience today, which is a real bummer since it’s about the only game in town for Longmont families.
