In a state full of great beer, Lefthand is truly king. Perhaps you might have sampled their Nitro Milk Stout from the box store or had a waking dream with the 400 Pound Monkey IPA, but you haven’t had Lefthand unless you have tasted it from the nurturing bosom of God herself, the taproom. Their artistry takes on new levels everyday with daily rotating cask conditioned ales full of wizardry and original ingredients. You can taste with every sip good quality ingredients and excellence in brewing. As a home brewer and lover of beer I would recommend this place to everyone who loves a good time.

Yay Left Hand! I’ve always been a fan of their milk stout so I knew I had to stop in while on vacation in Colorado. They have lots of great themed beer flights(dark, light, seasonals, etc.) although boyfriend and I opted to make our own. The bartender was super friendly, which was a nice surprise as some brewery staff can get a little snobby. We chose the good/evil jujus(good was better than evil in this case,) the amber ale(delicious!) and the nitro milk stout(tasty as always). They also have brewery tours(unfortunately missed the boat on this one) and a cool gift shop with clothes, beer glasses, growlers and more! Will definitely come back if I’m ever in Longmont again.

It saddens me to give such a low rating. This does not reflect the beer just the experience. We waited for quite a time to get any service… We were at a table and then moved to the bar with a hope that we could order something. So we waited and finally got asked what we wanted … Didn’t want to stick around since the vibe with the staff was not inviting… Added we were finally asked if we needed anything or how things were, we stated the wait time with the staff. It just seemed like unless you where aggressive, that is how to get service…

Left hand has been one of my favorite beers for a while now and I was not disappointed with the brewery. Stopping in on a road trip was a fantastic choice. I personally loved the Hard Wired Nitro. It has a smooth coffee flavor. They also have a list of local restaurants that deliver food. Excellent beer, excellent service.

Left Hand brews some of our favorite stouts in the state. We’ve been buying their beer for years so thought we’d take a drive and check out the brewery first hand. Next time we’ll take a tour. The place was very busy on a Saturday, but we were able to belly up and sample a few brews. We found a spot on their patio which had heaters going so it wasn’t too cold. Giant life size Jenga game is fun to play while enjoying your beer. They don’t serve food but did have a menu of places that would deliver.

This place was super packed on a Sunday afternoon. We had to park across the street because there’s only limited parking right outside and no street parking. It had a great atmosphere. There was a band playing and giant Jenga going on outside. If you get to 40 levels you get a free round. We managed to find a table out the back section. There were also plenty of tables outside but not many people willing to brave it. Two of us got beer flights and two got pints. The special valentines stout was nice. I didn’t like the introvert IPA. The others on my flight were good though. They only have some snacks to purchase but you can BYO food or order delivery in if you want. We ended up going elsewhere to eat but was having such a good time we were seriously considering getting a delivery.

This was on of my favorites on our schlep of Colorado breweries. The quaint tap room squeezes you in, but in a cozy way. It waas cold out so the patio was out for this desert dweller. But the tables do leave room to move around. Great selection of merchandise for beers in general *and Left Hand stuff. There was a food truck outside, which we didn’t partake being as how we’d already eaten lunch and were on our way back to Denver. Their Milk stout is the most famous beer and doesn’t disappoiint. I loved having it fresh off the line here. Like most breweries here, they offered tours, but opted to skip and just relax in the tap room. The tap room reminds me of being in a cozy cabin. Loved it.

Stouts are my favorite type of beer so Left Hand really fits the bill. I had some friends in town so we decided to check out the brewery and go on the brewery tour. Tours are free and can be reserved online on their website. Each tour lasts around 45 minutes and this one was one of the more thorough and informative ones I’ve been on. They take you through the whole process from brewing to bottling and packaging. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic about the beer and beer making. As for the beer itself, the milk stout and nitro version is what they have been known for and are my favorites. The Bittersweet is a seasonal variant which is an imperial coffee stout featuring local roaster, Allegro coffee. If you’re looking for gifts, you’re in luck! The store has a ton of cool merchandise including a unique stout glass, perfect for pouring and enjoying your milk stout nitro. I ended up buying a 32 oz. hydro flask($ 35), which comes with a free pour as well as a 12 pack Mountain Mixer sampler pack($ 18). Be sure to check out the restroom as well, which adds some unique art to the build.

4.5** Left Hand Brewing Company has a nice tasting room with live music and a covered patio seating area in the back. With a great selection of beers on tap, it was hard to choose which beers to try, so my bf and I opted to build our own flight. We were very impressed with all the beers we tried. However, here’s a breakdown of what we had – –Milk Stout Nitro(4⁄5) –400 Pound Monkey(3.5÷5) –Good Juju(3.5÷5) –Fade to Black, Vol. 1(4.25÷5) I highly recommend checking this brewery out as it has a great variety of beer styles. Then I recommend checking out Oskar Blues Brewery that’s only a few miles away.

Popped in here while we were out in the nether regions on an errand. The staff is great! We bellied up to the bar and i said — this is what i like, this is what i don’t like, make me a tasting set that you think would be for me. And he did great! He kept me abreast of what he was choosing, what would cost more etc etc… I was super surprised as what i did like, so that was fun! The tasting room is a good size, there are 2 parking lots, one by the building, one across the street. There are multiple locations that will deliver. There is a little outdoor patio. All in all a great little place to try some beer. If i feel like taking a long drive… this is where i’ll head…

The tasting room at Left Hand Brewery was a really cozy, welcoming place to grab a couldn’t-be-fresher beer. We tried the Good Juju(which has a hint of ginger flavor) and the Sawtooth(their flagship Amber lager). Both were pretty great. The tour is short but worthwhile, as they really give you a great sense of what the company is all about, and what they’re trying to accomplish. Just an FYI — they have a $ 25 minimum to use a card at the bar, so if you’re not planning on spending much, bring cash.

haha by the time I got here after the Colorado Brewery Bus Tour I was pretty toasty, so take this Unilocal review with a grain of salt. I have no idea what beers I tried or what they tasted like, but I remember liking them. The brewery it’s self did not include a tour, but their facilities are pretty nice. Theirs corn hole to play outside along with some picnic tables. Their swag is awesome! I think I ended up buying a growler and 2 t-shirts. I’d recommend to anyone in the area or looking for a great brewery while visiting Colorado. Cheers!

Since I don’t live under a rock, I had obviously tasted Left Hand beer before, namely the Milk Stout, but after coming to the brewery I must say… I am impressed. Here is what Left Hand is doing exceptionally well: Service: We came in on a Sunday evening, 30 minutes before close, and the bartenders were still some of the most friendly and engaging I’ve had. They were attentive and made sure everyone at the bar was having a good time. They did last call right on time, but they weren’t pushy about having anyone leave and continued their fun, raucous entertainment as they began to clean up and wait for everyone to clear out. Such a welcoming, fun environment. Unique Thinking: As a stout fanatic I just read an article about Left Hand & Rouge’s collaboration in creating a «stout glass.» Got my first glimpse of it while I was there. It was so fun! Sadly, I didn’t buy one, but eventually I will! On top of that, Left Hand has created these non glass Growlers! They are stainless steel, supposedly with the ability to keep things cold/hot for 12 hours. My friend purchased one while we were there and that beer was just as cold when we got home two hours later. I’m glad I got to try some new beer. Both the Waking Up Dead imperial stout and Good Juju ginger ale were delicious, but what impressed me most is that Left Hand seems to be a brewery that is pushing the envelope and staying creative! And that, I like!

Husband and I agree on many things but especially… beer! We both agree left hands down — you gotta visit Left Hand. 1. Quick zip up 119 from Boulder but as my local friend cautioned — go before the rush hour commute north because it gets crazy. 2. The sampler is a reasonable price, nicely presented and their beers are well-crafted — new favorite upon the visit: RUSSIANIMPERIALSTOUT 3. The interior is inviting and the artwork is interesting. 4. The gift shop is right inside too and had a good selection — I especially liked the railroad spike bottle opener. 5. The local crowd there was fun and nice. Very friendly! 6. You can stay indoors or grab a seat on the patio, look out over the plain to the Rockies. 7. Bar mix is tasty and complimentary. 8. Visit the restroom for the artistic and functional lav doors. 9. I’ve seen Left Hand now with quite a reach(LOL) so if not in CO, you can quite likely find their product near you.

This is going to be short and sweet, since other people have already said all the great things. 1. Nice spread of seating, although it can get crowded in the summer since everyone likes it — share a big table and make new friends. 2. Nice amount of beer available, with some specials like oak cast and nitro — get tasters or a sampler to have more variety. 3. You can buy beer in packs, growlers, etc here as well as merchandise. 4. Bike parking! Use it in the summer, or go to the overflow lot across the street. 5. Ale4Females is an awesome way to learn more about beer and hang with other females in the area that like beer — check it out on their website. 6. I really like all their beer, they put a lot of thought into making it consistently good and it shows.
