Been eating here for years. Always yummy and good service.

Great breakfast! Had shrimp with creamed spinach, eggs, beignets(amazing), coffee(they had decaf!), grits, and biscuit and there was no way I would be able to finish. Was in the throes of morning sickness when we came to eat, so wish I could have had a lot more than I did — need to go back soon to really sample everything. Try to go early – fills up quickly!

One of my favorite restaurants ever! Today we were a little late and they had already called our name but they still got us in right away. I have been to all locations(off Logan, in Boulder, Littleton and even Steamboat when it was open) and this location is my favorite. They always make everything perfectly. I had eggs Benedict and it was it was the best I have ever had. I would definitely recommend!

Last minute decision to take our mom to brunch, we decided on Lucile’s because my sister loves it and I always heard good things. We arrived around 12 and only had to wait ten minutes which is impressive because it was Sunday and the place is TINY– It is literally in an old Longmont house! They are really trying to keep that«Louisiana home style» vibe. The decorations are old and kitschy. The«napkins» were faded, fraying pieces of fabric with floral patterns. I thought it was cute! I got a breakfast dish with four pieces of big shrimp, poached eggs(they ask if you want the yolk runny, gooey, or hard. Loved having the choice), southern potatoes, a big biscuit, AND creamed spinach. All this for a little over $ 10. I did NOT like the potatoes, the seasoning just didn’t sit well with me, but I loved the eggs and creamed spinach. They also offer home made jams, ketchup, and salsas at every table. I would recommend this place if you want some breakfast food with a unique southern twist. Not many typical breakfast dishes on the menu! Oh, and FYI parking sucks so give yourself extra time for that during peak hours.

Lucile’s is such a wonderful breakfast spot, we are very fortunate to have it here in Longmont! My in-laws are from the South and it’s one of their two must-visit spots when here in Colorado, which says a lot about the quality of the food! Service is friendly and usually prompt. Coffee is good and plentiful. Everything I’ve had is perfectly cooked, which is really saying a lot because their menu is quite diverse! The shrimp in particular astound me– they are cooked better here than in most 5-star seafood places I’ve been! The house made condiments are great too– cajun ketchup, jams and marmalade– yum! My daughter(18 months) would happily live off of their marmalade if we let her. Seating is either inside the house or on their cute, shady patio. Eclectic tables and chairs but comfortable and functional! Everyone once in awhile the service is slow, or orders get messed up just a little. Small disappointments that can be overlooked most of the time but which keep it from earning 5 starts.

In the recent months I’ve had enough small disappointments here to feel the need to remove 1 star from my review. This is still a great breakfast/bunch/lunch spot, but it’s not the perfection it once was(a year or so ago). I think maybe they have new management, because the service has gone downhill, though it’s still satisfactory, if a bit slow. The hosts/hostesses are awkward these days. Food is still good, but not quite consistent. If you haven’t eaten here in a year, you may be disappointed. Eat here anyways!

Awesome! Worth your time and money. Great staff, quaint atmosphere, and a killer Cajun Bloody Mary. Food is pretty amazing, too.

Among the best cajun breakfasts outside of New Orleans. Always pair with an order of beignets and coffee and you can’t go wrong. They don’t use quite as much powdered sugar as Café du Monde, but I think they play in the same league. Just be warned, you’ll probably need to bring the big @$$ biscuit home. They’re always prepped with tin foil to wrap it up.

Good atmosphere, service, and food. For a vegetarian they are a little on the short side of options, which is to be expected from creole cuisine. Beignets, Haitian coffee, bisquits, and cheese omelet are all good. Any meat eater should probably give this place 5 stars.

Great brunch place. Good food. Fun atmosphere. A little in the costly side, but generally worth it. I don’t mind paying that for good food, but the beverages there are extortion. Good too, but as expensive as some meals. Worthwhile for occasions deserving a good breakfast.

I truly love this place! I’ve been here a few times and have tried a few of the dishes. My favorite is always the Beniffer which is eggs benedict but with lots more veggies than the regular eggs benedict. It comes with potatoes or grits, I personally prefer their potatotes. Today I finally tried the lousiana style pancakes… and omg they were amazing, the texture is very different from regular pancakes, they are probably one of the better pancakes I’ve had! This place gets packed on the weekends so I always try to stop by on the weekdays. They have outdoor seating which is great on those not so hot summer days. Service: The people here have always been really helpful and supper attentive. Cool Things: –They make their own ketchup and sauce which are both delicious –They have a special pancake syrup that’s also yummy

What’s absolutely astounding to me is that Lucille’s is ranked #11 on the Unilocal list. Really Longmont? There are 10 places where the food is better? You do not appreciate what you have in your own backyard. Quite simply, Lucille’s is the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. . anywhere. . period. And #2 isn’t even close. We’re from Kansas and visit friends in Longmont a couple of times a year. It’s now to the point where we eat at Lucille’s almost once a day when we’re here. I can’t get enough, especially knowing that we have to go back home where there is no Lucille’s and all I can do is daydream about it. There is no weakness anywhere on the menu. I try to get different things everytime, depending on whether it’s breakfast or lunch. There are two constants however that do not change for me. .. the huge biscuits with homemade apple butter, and the New Orleans spiced tea. I’m personally requesting from God that this be the«official food of heaven.» :-)

Never heard of a restaurant that doesn’t do orders for pick up! I was really hoping to try their food but traveling with infants in snowy weather is challenging.

I came here for brunch and my waitress was fantastic. I wanted to try the beignets and also ordered an entrée. Seeing that I was by myself, she suggested a half order of beignets(which wasn’t listed as an option on the menu). I’m so glad she offered the suggestion because I only wanted a taste of it and knew I wouldn’t be able to finish a full order on my own as well as eating the entrée. For the entrée, I ordered the Eggs Rockefeller. The fried oysters were an interesting twist to add to scrambled eggs. It was actually pretty good! The biscuit was also delicious, especially with the homemade rhubarb jam. I’ll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.

Great food! Pros: –quality food, ingredients –staff is attentive –Old-world feel, place settings and decoration is very classic farm-house appeal Cons: –Ordered«Eggs Jennifer» poached eggs where over medium — not typical to what I usually get. Tips: Get the beignets! I went before work this morning, I have been many times and will definitely be back — always a great experience!

It’s really not worth the wait on the busy weekends. Not worth it any other day too. And don’t waste your money on the beignets. Boring and flavorless. I think the only tasty dish at the table were the rice pancakes. the rest was just plain.

Oh wow. Um. I’m having a hard time believing this place is out here in Longmont. The gumbo is LEGIT, nice dark roux and good fresh vegetables in it, all spiced up with real honest-to-god andouille. The chicken robicheaux was decadent, collard greens and mashed potatoes on the side were made from scratch with very fresh ingredients. The clientele are varied and fun also. Tips: Seating can be limited, if you’re alone, sit at the bar but note that there are only three seats there. The entrees are GIANT so don’t overdo it on the à la carte sides haha. The fresh-squeezed OJ is wonderful but it’s like $ 4 a glass. Definitely going back here when I need some cajun!

I had heard about Lucile’s for a while so I had to go to Longmont anyway so I decided to try Lucil’e and I am glad I did. First we ordered the beignets and they were so good, fresh and hot with lots of powdered sugar. I ordered gumbo with a side of mashed potatoes and both were very good. My date had red beans and rice she said it was a good serving and delicious. I loved the house made hot sauce kind of hot with a very pleasant taste. The place is clean and quaint and the service as top notch. I would go there again if I happened to be in Longmont. The prices were reasonable for 2 meals, beverages and a good tip I got by for $ 40.

I am sad that I have eaten here for the last time. I used to love to come here for breakfast. This morning I joined four friends and we went for breakfast. It was crowded as usual but the hostess was charming and nice. As usual. I ordered the large grapefruit juice I always order and my friends ordered their favorite and accustomed drinks. Mine came out in a six ounce juice glass. I asked the waitress to bring me the large instead, and she explained this is the large now. I asked the managerial-looking woman walking around if this is accurate, since usually when I order the large it is a full sized tumbler of juice. With a big smile, she identified herself as the owner of this location, as well as the locations in Boulder, Denver, Littleton, and Fort Collins. She explained that I’d been getting free juice and that’s why this location had been losing money for so long, that this is the right size for a large. I said«That is disappointing, people won’t like that. It will weigh in our decision making in the future.» Pointing to the crowded waiting area, she said, «It’s all right. I have plenty of customers.» I have never experienced anything like it before. I’ve never been told«we have customers to spare, so I don’t care about your opinion.» And the rest of our experience was no better. The food was not of the quality I’ve come to expect, my potatoes were burned, my red beans were gummy, and overall it was just not what it used to be. I used to love this place. There are no words for how disappointed I am. It’s all right. She has plenty of customers.

Charming Local Chain Feel good spot where the locals really love to indulge in some home-style breakfast. We made our way here one Sunday morning and it was packed to the brim. When we were finally seated, we immediately noticed that the service was lacking. We ordered drinks and a few minutes later, I flagged down the server as she rushed by to add on some beignets. It’s funny how they came out first before our drinks did. She whizzed by several times, busy as a bee, but did not once acknowledge us or tell us she’ll be by in a few. The kids & hubs were getting a little restless. I just tried to keep our conversations going so that we don’t walk out of the place mad. It worked for a little bit and eventually ordered our food. It came out slowly. Our sides were missing and needed to ask for our biscuit & greens. Asking for lemons for our salmon was a joke because it took about 10 minutes to get to us which in turn made our food rather cold. Besides all the delays, we loved the red beans with bits of pork and the greens were lovely. I kicked it up a notch with their spicy vinegar(could have used more heat though). The food was pretty tasty but if everything went smoothly, we would have enjoyed our experience a whole lot more. We aren’t total fans of Lucile’s just yet but maybe if we’re up to giving them a second shot, I hope that they step it up so that we can also proclaim our love for this place.
