Despite the Sunset bridge having been closed for what seems a decade, tripling the time it takes to drive here; PJ’s is our go-to liquor store. There are almost as many liquor stores in Longmont as there are Starbucks; why go here? The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Need a wine for a special occasion? Ask for suggestions, they won’t let you down. The beer selection is awesome and they seem to keep up with the latest craft brewers. We have a few items we like that aren’t stocked super well in other stores; but are always in stock here. We’ll be happy when the city finally fixes the damn bridge!

With great prices and a wide selection PJ’s is my favorite liquor store in the area. I’m mainly interested in their beers and liquors so I can’t comment on the wine selection but I notice that there are a few reviews from self proclaimed experts on the subject. So for brews and booze, PJ’s has a surprisingly large selection. They also have a friendly staff who are quick to assist with getting your purchases safely to your car. They have really great weekly deals which they advertise in the local newspaper. Their inventory isn’t overly well organized which for me makes it more fun to browse the deals– sort of like a treasure hunt.

To respond to Paul’s respose, I personally have around 750(736 just doing quick math here) bottle collection myself. Been collecting wine for a long time and I am considered by many to have a pretty good(not phenom but pretty good) knowledge of napa cabs(several wine makers in Napa would concur to that). That bottle was corked there was no doubt about it. as was the next I took in replacement. Dry cork that snapped using a normal corkscrew not a plastic corkscrew and yes I came in w some friends, two bought beer for themselves one purchased a bottle of some French wine I have never heard of and I purchased a bottle of Caymus for myself. It smelled of vinegar those bottles don’t get rotated as the piles of dust clearly demonstrate. i also in no way talked down to the staff as the sales guy was helpful I only argued w Paul as he didn’t(and still doesn’t) know what he’s talking about. And yes that is a picture of me in Del Mar where I own a very nice house at. Don’t hate the player Paul, hate the game buddy. For anybody reading my review I only talk about my background to give the reader an ability to understand that I am a credible source. Thank you very much.

PJ’s is one of the best liquor stores in the area. Always friendly staff waiting to help you find whatever you are looking for when it comes to beer, wines and spirits. They always have a rotating selection of wine, beer and spirits, and they will always look to bring something in that you can’t find, they will always see what they can do to get it. Well worth stopping in if you are around.

Though not the closest, PJ’s is my local liquor store. They have a great selection of wine, beer and spirits, and the staff is knowledgeable and able to make suggestions. I alway find what I need when I go there, and usually several things that I don’t :)

This is one of the first liquor stores what I found when I first moved to Longmont. I was very happy with the selection they had and the knowledge and friendly SOME of their staff is. It’s also one of the very few places that you’re able to get Pliny the Elder, one of my favorite IPAs brewed by Russian River. However, their owner is pretty abrasive when it comes to trying to get your hands on a bottle. The first time I actually picked one up he interrogated me as to the last time I had gotten a bottle(I never had) and practically threatened me with never selling to me again if I ever tried to come in for another bottle within a month. I understand the 1 bottle a month policy and it’s his house and his rules, but it doesn’t leave me feeling like I’m an appreciated customer and doesn’t make me want to come back. The one saving grace previously was that I could call ahead and at least ask them if they had any in before I wasted a trip for nothing. However I was recently told that they will no longer let answer people on whether or not they have it over the phone, you have to drive in and ask while you’re at the store. So much for customer service. Also, I’m pretty sure they kick up the prices a bit since my friends tell me they’re able to get Pliny at their local liquor stores in Boulder(where they don’t limit the number you can get) for 2 – 3 dollars less a bottle than I’ve paid at PJ’s. It’s a shame too though. They have some very knowledgeable gentlemen when it comes to wines and the ladies that work the register have always been nice. Too bad the owner’s policies have really turned me off to this place. Twin Peaks Liqour and Liqourland are both easy replacements in terms of beer selection and their employees are always nice.

PJ’s is Great! Paul, Mike, Phil and the rest of the team really take the time to get to know your individual tastes and can then make personalized recommendations for every occasion. Their wine selection is superb. The depth of every category is phenomenal. Plus, they are available to share their knowledge so you can make the right decision for you no matter your price range. I recently went into the store to look for a great wine to watch the Sunday afternoon Game. I got three great recommendations to cheer on Denver to a Win! They also have a great beer selection. Seasonals, old stand-by’s, great local selection, and my favorites, an amazing bomber selection. Hoppy, malty, or the champagne of beers, PJ’s has you covered. Which leads me to their spirits collection. While I am partial to their great bourbon and tequila selections. Whether I am looking for a scotch for my dad, a bourbon for myself, a tequila for my wife, or a vodka for my sister, they always have whatever I need. There are not too many businesses now a days that are competent in customer service. For the past 6 years(since it opened) I have been a loyal patron of PJ’s and I am always impressed by the service I receive by Paul and his team. Thank you, PJ’s.

Very knowledgeable staff. They will always help you find the perfect wine for your menu. If you are in a rush the wines of the month are perfect, I have yet to be disappointed

Great wine selection from the high values through the high class. The staff must try each selection as they are usually spot on with there information. Join the wine club and get 10% off every bottle every day which makes them about the best priced choice in Northern CO. Great beer and liquor selection also. Plus they have a big screen to watch the game while shopping!

The only place in Longmont where you can get Pliny the Elder. I am learning about wine and these guys are patient teachers. Friendly, Helpful, Knowledgeable. And they have one of the best(and most reasonably priced) beer selections in town.
