Smashburger

Half my reviews lately have involved some kind of red meat. Oh God. Sorry to all vegetarians on my friends list. Also, my deepest regards to my arteries! Anyway. Smashburger is so good! I came here with my mom after church on Sunday around noon because she said her co-​workers kept talking about it.
Buffalo Burger– not too overwhelming with the Frank’s hot sauce/​blue cheese– so good!
Smash fries– I don’t usually like skinny fries much but the seasoning on these were really good!
For a large fry, two burgers, and one fountain drink it was under $ 20. The manager (I think) was so nice too. I will be back!

If you like a good burger, fast, then you will like Smashburger. I love their burgers, chicken sandwiches and smash fries too. This fast casual place is better than most sit down restaurants.

Good burger and great fries. Resturant is well kept and clean. The young man working the order counter was on top of his game. Very friendly and always making sure your doing good. Give that guy a promotion…

I love Smash Burger when I have a craving for a really good cheeseburger and want it fast. Always polite staff, quality food and fast service. Inside is always clean. I’ve never been disappointed.

I have eaten at this Smashburger quite a few times during the middle of the afternoon, during the weekday and have always had a good experience and good food. It’s not gourmet burgers/​chicken sandwiches, but less expensive than places that are more gourmet. The manager is always there when I’ve been in and he keeps things running well. The cashiers are polite and so are the servers. I like the food and service. I have been into several other Smashburger locations, both in Denver and North Glen and I have not returned, nor will I. They just weren’t very good. I have walked into the Smashburger in Boulder and walked right back out again before ordering; it was that dirty. If you are in Longmont and need a quick burger fix, this Smashburger is a decent choice.

I want to like this place more than I do. The menu looks pretty good (for a fast food place). But each time I have gotten a burger and fries, the overwhelming taste and feeling is just a sodium explosion. Instead of flavor, all you get is salt.

I’m a smash burger fan and have visited them in many locations the consistency of the food is always refreshing, fries are the best. This location lacks in the friendly service I am accustomed to. Seems off. Otherwise I love smash burger.

We had the CO burger and the spicy Baja burger w reg fries.
The good: fresh, fresh ingredients! The fries were pretty good. Food was fairly quick to come out on a Saturday night w lots of customers.
The bad: The food wasn’t bad. It was kind of fine. No amazing flavor which i expected in something that contained jalapeños and guacamole. It was super bland. My husband’s burger was juicy but lacked in flavor as well. It was super busy w only two empty tables, both were dirty. I asked an employee to clear one of them, she reacted as if I had asked her to move a Rocky Mountain. Another server cleared it, w out saying a word to us. The table wasn’t wiped so we just enjoyed our dinner over the previous customers crumbs.
Verdict: eh. I can deal w bad customer service and a tiny bit ‘messy’ for great food! But, they don’t have great food. So-​If it’s not busy and I want a burger but not a reg restaurant, I guess Smashburger is fine. Otherwise, no, I won’t be back.

Food is OK when you are in a pinch for a burger, but pricey. I still can’t decide if Smashburger is worth the price because their policy is to overcook the meat patties to something like 140 °F. I am sorry, but all patties taste the same when it is overcooked and so a much lower priced Wendy’s burger may be a better value, not that I would recommend eating a Wendy’s burger or any fast food burger.
I will just have to continue to make my own burgers at home.

Love the taste of the burgers & smash fries. I’d give this place 5 stars if the burgers were less greasy.

My first ever Smashburger. With a chocolate shake. Very speedy friendly service. Booths and tables and bar seating.

We decided to go back and give Smashburger in Longmont another try. I forgot to take pictures but we were definitely pleased with this experience.
We both really liked our burgers. They were hot and cooked right — the toppings were perfection. We shared a side of the Smashfries — they were a bit greasy but they were hot, crispy and flavorful. YUM!
The real test for me was going to be our shake. I was so disappointed by the shake last time (see previous review) — I was anxious to see if that had been fixed. And?! I’m happy to report that it was perfection. It was expertly made and this time it was served in the tall glass with the extra on the side. Excellent.
We were both very pleased this time around. Glad we gave it another shot.

Great tasting burgers and salads. My grandson’s favorite place to eat.
There are only two places in town I will eat a burger and this is one of them. I like that they have, necessary for me, gluten free buns.

These are five stars for two different things… the hamburgers are always delicious… a given. But this is for the manager, Amber. She really has that management skill that is hard to teach… efficient with a smile. As I was waiting for my takeout I saw her dealing with a customer /​dealing with the cookstaff /​and dealing with a balky computer system… all with the demeanor of someone who should begin the trek into upper management. Sometimes we all don’t get the opportunity to get into a business track at a university… but it doesn’t mean they don’t have business sense.
What I saw with Amber was spot on. Brava.

Yes, I gave another Smash a horrible rating while this location just took my heart with 5 solid stars. My first experience was far from perfect but after giving them a second chance here in Longmont… I was honestly hooked! When I crave a juicy burger, this place comes to mind. They can make a mean meal! Not only is the food tasty & fresh but the service has always been friendly & helpful.
Pricing is a little higher then your $ 1.19 +tax McDouble or any $ 1 menu classic from other fast food joints but premium burgers at these same places can cost the same, if not more then the great burgers here. They pride themselves in quality and want to stand out from the other speedy eateries out there. It’s a step above «fast food» and a tiny notch below casual dining. I’m totally a fan of smashes style! They aren’t your generic «get in & get out» type of restaurant and they’re fairly hassle free in comparison to being waited on elsewhere.
Smash is accommodating with the extras (sauces, free toppings, etc) and always eager to make any changes if they goofed up. The staff and management is there to help you. make sure your heard if you are truly upset. My favorite sauce is the truffle mayo to dip my fries in and the sin city burger (off their «secret menu») is always a winner for me. I absolutely recommend Smashburger to anyone that wants to indulge in a good-​fairly priced burger. I’d be more then happy to offer up any personal advice to those curious about this burger joint :)

I struggle with this — 3.5 stars really for this particular visit.
1. It is quite expensive, which is hard for my finances right now, although the food is good.
2. They didn’t get my order quite right — tomatoes were left off the burger. Not worth complaining though.
3. The shake wasn’t brought until we were nearly done eating and the number card was already gone. Made it a bit difficult to match up and if we had wanted it earlier to eat with the burgers, that would have been worse.
So again — a good burger place but if I’m really craving something, I’ll probably still hit somewhere cheaper and faster. If I want to spend a bit more and sit and hang out with friends for a lengthier evening (with milkshakes and drinks), this is still on my list to suggest.

As Americans we are so jaded (or snobby) about our burgers. They are everywhere, on every corner, so we have the right to be picky. Smashburger delivers. But what I like about Smash are their ingredients. They are heads above any fast food joint. Fresh, never frozen and local whenever possible.
I recently deviated from the traditional cheeseburger and got the Mushroom Truffle and their BBQ with shoestring onion rings on top. EMG!!! Delicious. I’m not really an American that craves burgers but I’m not lying to you when I say I CRAVE those two burgers. Step outside the burger box and order them. They’ll have you coming back to Smash for a weekly fix.
Also, they have New Belgium brews here (local pairings, love that). That’s something Wendys and Good Times don’t have. Beer. Hoooray Beer!

I recently attended an event at this location and was blown away by the service (General Manager Brian did an excellent job teaching us about the burger smashing method), food, and cleanliness of the restaurant. The restaurant’s franchise owner as well as his marketing director were also present and I was very pleased that they were not only very approachable but also willing to answer any questions we had.
At this event I had the pleasure of not only trying all of the sides (even those on their «secret menu») but also all the burgers (up to that time I had only been indulging in the spicy baja black bean burger and spicy baja chicken burger). There is something quite spectacular that happens to the beef burgers during the «smashing» process (Brian referred to this as «meat candy») because I rarely eat beef and have already found myself craving these sumptuous burgers.
I will definitely be returning for not only the fried pickles, truffle mushroom swiss, and veggie frites but also their spectacular service.

I moved here 7 months ago and had yet to try Smashburger. I’m glad I hadn’t because I went to the Unilocal event in Longmont last night with no preconceived notions. It was a great opportunity to sample 8 sandwiches in quarter pieces.
Where to start? The Classic Smash is a decent burger but once you try the others it’s hard to compare. I am a big fan of the BBQ Bacon & cheddar burger. I loved the zest BBQ sauce and the egg bun. I highly recommend this burger.
Next we sampled the truffle mushroom & swiss burger. I’m not a big fan of ‘shrooms but the baby portabellas are mild. The genius addition to the this burger is the truffle mayo. It is delicious. Maybe a bit overpowering if you don’t like truffle flavor but I do and this burger melts in your mouth. This quickly became my favorite burger, until I tried the Colorado burger.
Hands down this is their best burger. Hard to go wrong with any of the burgers, I even enjoyed the veggie black bean burger, but if you want to try just one then get the Colorado. The green chilis give this juice burger a nice kick.
I violated my no starch diet for this occasion and I’m glad I did. The Smash fries are tasty and I really like how skinny they are. But, step up and get the sweet potato fries. Mmmm, that’s all I have to say. And, for the diet conscious you can opt for the carrot & green bean «fries».
If you only have room for one app then order the «secret» fried green chilis. Not such a secret since everyone knows about them but they aren’t on the menu.
If, and that’s a big if, you have room for dessert then you have to try the Haagen Dazs ice cream shakes. The fact that they are made with real ice cream rather than artificial stuff from a machine is a huge plus.
A great big thanks to the owner of the newish Longmont location and the staff which was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that now that I know how darn good these burgers are is that I’ll have to return soon.

Great burgers! Great chicken burgers! Fries were really good, but the fried green chilies is where its at! We received fast, friendly service and our food came out quickly.
They have a choice for everyone. My mom had a salad and it was HUGE and delicious! Defiantly a better burger than those other «guys»!
