This review is for the Tables to Teacups estate sale service; I’ve never been to their store, and based on my experience at one of their estate sales recently, I never will. Things didn’t start great when they didn’t actually let anyone from the huge line inside until 10 – 15 after the scheduled starting time of 1:00. No explanation. No «sorry, we’re not quite ready yet». Up front, they’re making it clear they don’t give a crap about customer experience. We’re sincerely sorry for inconveniencing you by trusting the information you put on the Internet. But maybe it’ll be worth the wait, right? Nope. I think it’s fair to ignore the quality and quantity of goods for the purposes of this review. Estate sale service companies are stuck with whatever crap the estate has to offer, and sometime all that crap is crap of the crappiest kind. Other times, that crap is pretty great. That said, let’s judge them on how they price said crap! I would like to be able to say everything was overpriced, because then I could add a star to the review. Instead, I have to say some of the stuff was overpriced; the rest wasn’t priced at all. «Hey, Robert, calm down. I’m sure they had employees all around to provide prices upon request.» You apparently weren’t there, my friend. Best I could tell, they had three people, and only one that could provide prices. At least that guy was conveniently placed, right? Oh, you mean, like, by an entrance or something? Don’t be an idiot. How about in the middle of a room in the middle of the house? Perfect! I, and I think I speak for everybody on this, can’t think of a better place to instantiate your avant-garde definition of ‘line’ as «an orderless people-blob roughly surrounding a single moving point in space» than right in the middle of the busiest part of the house, which also happens to be where you tossed out most of the items for sale. Who is in line and who is just waiting patiently for a break in the crowd large enough to slip through and escape this hell-hole? We’ll find out when Mr. Personality the Money-Taker yells at them! Actually, we won’t. He yelled at everyone. For everything. So much yelling. My girlfriend found a pair of binoculars that she was interested in purchasing, but I talked her into putting them back and leaving immediately. It is doubtful they were even worth what they were priced, let alone what they were priced plus the forty-five minutes of misery that would’ve been checking out. If you ever see a listing for an estate sale run by Tables to Teacups or TTT or any other initialism or acronym or anagram(Catboat Pee Sluts Estate Sales), for the love God, DON’T GO.

I love this place! So many beautiful things, sometimes in little sections of treasure. I’ve found some smaller pyrex heatable bowls I had a hard time finding elsewhere. The items range from eclectic and vintage to current. They have some rustic items that you’d find on barns or old houses or «reclaimed”-which you’d find in the Arhaus catalog for much higher prices. The owners are just down to earth good people. I love shopping there, the store is like a Longmont staple for inspiration. If you’re artistically talented, you have to go there. A fantastic place to pick up staging props for real estate.

This place can be a fun place to go if you are in the mood for random shopping and have the time. It’s a large property… plan on giving yourself at least an hour to get through it. It has everything from low-end junk, to some nice, higher-end pieces. It’s messy — many of the booths are virtually strewn with«stuff», and to be honest, not very clean or organized. On the other hand, if you like the challenge of «the hunt» to find that special item(similar to a garage sale experience) than it might appeal to you. I have always found the staff(family owned and operated) to be courteous and helpful and I think that overall, the prices are reasonable — they are reduced over time. The longer an item has been in the store for sale, the better the price. Some people really like that aspect.

Upon walking up to the front doors I noticed a sign stating«all backpacks must be left at the front counter». I refuse to do any business with a company who presumes I’m stealing something before I even walk in. I assume you won’t take financial responsibility of items in my back pack, so if my iPad or my whole backpack goes missing, then what? If you are that scared of shoplifters, install cameras or hire security. People can just as easily shoplift using purses, strollers or even pockets, but those arn’t banned. If you’re someone who walks, rides a bike, takes public transportation, rides a motorcycle, drives a Jeep or any other convertible, or you simply don’t feel like your valuables will be safe in the parking lot, avoid this business. They clearly don’t want your money. I’m a well dressed, 30 year old business man, but because it’s a warm day, and the top is off my Jeep, I don’t want to leave my valuables locked inside my vehicle. But by putting them in a backpack, and carrying them with me, I guess this makes me a criminal in the eyes of Tables to Teacups.

A very nice flea market in Longmont! It is really big and there are lots of merchandise to pour through. I especially liked the Star Wars/geek section there. Definitely worth a visit!

I’ve been coming to Tables to Teacups since they opened across the street. I buy every thing from a nice side table to dishes. The clothes can be a very good buy especially for some of the stand-bys like jeans and cool leather jackets. They have lots of things that are just an ordinary good buy-sunglasses, kitchenware, books. They also have treasures and collectables, nice glassware. I especially like that they have a built in system to make sure things don’t get overpriced. If the item doesn’t sell after 2 months, the price drops 10% and keeps dropping every month.

Tables to Teacups is great! The staff is friendly, the furniture is beautiful, and it’s not so crowded that you can’t move. I scored a pair of brand new Frye boots, a vintage over the shoulder leopard pin and a darling table lamp this weekend, so I’ll have to stay away until next paycheck.
