Best breakfast on the island. We come here every weekend we are home in South Jersey. You can’t go wrong on the menu, as we have tried just about everything. 5 stars because of the service and the warmth of the staff and ownership. Enjoy!

Very pleasant, classic diner. Friendly service. Great menu selection. Neighborhood feel. Tucked into a cute corner of Longport. No credit cards accepted. Great food. Great location. Can’t go wrong with Ozzie’s.

Got a couple of sandwiches and took them to the beach. They were great! Fries accompanied them and were good after 10 minutes of getting them to the beach. We got the turkey avocado club sandwiches. Would definitely go back.

This place is just awful. Extremely overpriced, terrible staff, and extremely overpriced. It’s so overpriced I had to put it twice. You don’t even get close to your money’s worth. Don’t get food in Longport it’s just a waist

The food is good, the service is good. no complaints at all in either! However, on Sunday 7⁄26) 4 of us had lunch and ordered take out for a 5th. The bill was $ 64 and we gave the waitress $ 80 in cash and said«no change». 5 minutes later a woman, older with dark short hair, yellow slams came over and said you gave $ 75 dollars and put $ 4 and change on the table and spread out the one dollar bills. We said we gave $ 80 and she said, «no, I just counted and you were the last check…» We didn’t argue and we’re almost 100% sure we left $ 80 but didn’t want to make a scene and didn’t want to short the waitress so added a $ 10 bill to the change on the table. On our way out another customer was loudly frustrated and saying to the same woman, «I gave you $ 100 and you only gave me $ 20 back…» Something is not right at Ozzie’s! When our group got back to the beach we started to get pretty pissed off but it was too late to go back and argue. I’d like to know if others have had problems with getting the correct change back!

It was disappointing! Beautiful place, great service, presentation of food looks good. But it stopped there. Jewish omelette was not an omelette. Scrambled eggs that tasted like powdered eggs, lox was Salmon and onions had no flavor. Jason special French toast was a good idea and had a great presentation. However it did not taste as good as it looked. Thicker, more interesting more dense and flavor bread perhaps with the cinnamon crumble top and more of a ricotta cheese/cannoli filling then a thin slice of cold cream cheese would’ve tasted a lot better. Real syrup would have been good A for effort A for service C for food.

Omg I don’t remember Ozzie’s ever being this bad! Growing up in the area I would usually avoid this spot when the summer rolls around because it’s usually packed with tourists so you can imagine my surprise on a Saturday afternoon in June finding the place almost empty… I stopped by for brunch and ordered an omelet. The food took awhile to come out and looked like sad diner fare… There was barely any home fries on my plate and what I had was totally undercooked and bland. When the bill came I was horrified to see that they charge $ 2.29 for requesting my omelet made with egg whites– is that a joke?! Any other place charges $ 1MAX. The prices are already high for the quality of food they’re serving and then with the ridiculous up charges you have got to be kidding me! I had to wait 10 minutes at the front counter to pay the bill because the waitress didn’t know how to feed a new roll of receipt paper into the cash register and then I heard a server tell a woman waiting for take out that they were«really busy» ummmmm I think there was a maximum of 3 tables filled in the entire restaurant… Needless to say I won’t be coming back here in the summer or any other time of year

Best brunch on the island ! Great salads and fantastic milkshakes. First come first serve though so the wait on the weekends can be long(but worth it).

Visited twice now. The first was a veggie wrap… was ok, but nothing spectacular. The second was for a salad. Let’s just say a tapas salad would look like a 4 — course dining extravaganza in comparison. While many things on the island are overpriced and mediocre, this takes the art of poor preparation and service to a new plateau.

What is the deal with Ozzie’s? We went for breakfast today and what a change. Waited twenty minutes for coffee, no waitress to be found. There’ were others in the restaurant also wondering what was up? We finally walked out unable to order our breakfast and the others followed right behind. Can’t figure this one out but after years of eating in Ozzie’s today will be my last visit. Very disappointing…

No credit cards, no checks. Be prepared! Basic diner fare, nothing outrageous, nothing too bad. Service cold and lacking for the most part. Décor is wonderfully retro and quirky. Place is clean.

Just had breakfast there. Pretty decent. Had the breakfast burrito, server said it was spicy, not really. Fast service nice place. We will come back again. Wasn’t real busy.

Ozzie’s Luncheonette is a really good place to get breakfast if you are in the Margate/Longport area. A friend and I went on a Friday morning, place had a decent amount of people there, and we still found a parking space right across the street. it was a really nice day out, so we decided to eat outside, although just a warning, the area outside is on a bit of a slant. Nevertheless, our waitress came right over and recommended breakfast. The whole time our waitress was very prompt to come over, refilled our waters a lot, and was very friendly. My friend and I both got their combination eggs and french toast breakfast, which we were both impressed with. The plate came out in a very timely manner after we ordered. Most breakfast places just slop on your food onto a plate, not here. I was really surprised at how nice the plate looked, they included on the dish an orange slice and some other fruit that added color and made the plate appear more prepared. It’s not that this was a big deal or anything, but just goes to show you have a little thing can really go a long way. In terms of food quality, the eggs came out well, and the bacon and sausage tasted good. The french toast was good, but a little dry in my opinion and needed something else to make it special. Portion size was just enough to make me full, but not huge. Price wise it ended up being a little bit over $ 12 /person, which for this area is pretty decent, especially for what we got. I’d say this place had good service, nice atmosphere, tasty food and beautiful presentation, decent prices. Of all the places I’ve been to in this area, I’d certainly come back to Ozzie’s for breakfast again.

My daughter and I live at the shore and every wknd we eat out and rate each restaurant on service, atmosphere, price, food quality, and service, this place is our least fav of all! Atmosphere, 3, food, 3, atmosphere3, service4,price, 3 .3.25 avg out of 10, this place is popular because of tradition, people go there religiously, for what I don’t know

Always enjoy the wide variety of breakfast options. Great coffee too & always easy to be seated. They don’t take credit cards so bring cash. Love the décor!

I ended up here on a whim after the first two places i tried to eat breakfast were closed. I’m glad they were closed b/c it allowed to to find this great breakfast joint. Inside reminds me of an old school meets new school 50s diner. All the walls are painted with a mural. Got a Bacon, Egg and Cheese on an Everything bagel with a side of home fries. I contemplated getting the breakfast burrito but passed. Before our meal came the people at the table next to us received theirs, one of the girls got the burrito. The salsa came on the side in a gravy boat, i saw her pour some out, and I immediately wanted some. It had this nice orange color(similar to a habanero but a little darker) and was not chunky. I asked the waitress for a side of it when she brought my food… and holy S — , it might have been one of the Top 3 Salsas I’ve ever had. I drenched my sandwich and home fries with it. Has a nice spice, if you don’t like spicy, this isn’t for you. I fell in love. Turns out one of the waitresses makes it daily, i was also told she makes a mean green salsa, i will have to remember that for next time. My bagel was toasted nicely, the bacon was crisp and the home fries were well done, exactly how i asked for them. I prefer shredded home fries and these were the small potato bits, but they were so crispy i didn’t care that they weren’t shredded. Overall, i enjoyed my breakfast here and will be going back just for the salsa. This is now my 2nd favorite breakfast joint down the shore behind Shell’s Café in Ventnor, which is my favorite breakfast place ever.

Not that much of an outstanding breakfast place. It has your typical breakfast meals and nothing really special. I had the chocolate chip pancakes. They were normal — nothing special. The only thing that was different about them was that the choclate chips were on top of the pancakes rather than inside of them. I am really not sure if I like that better or not. It was different. My friend had the waffle — which she said she did not like(she would have gave the place 2 starts) and her bf had the American omelet which was really a western omelet. He said it was good, but not the best(he would have given a 3 stars). The only thing I would have to say is if you wanted to get in an out at a reasonable time — come early. We got in around 9ish and it was perfect. But once 9:30/10:00 hit there was a line outside the door.

Ozzie’s is one of those Jersey Shore institutions: a place that maybe isn’t objectively great, but that you keep returning to because a) you have fond memories of it as a kid and b) there just aren’t that many restaurants at the shore. The diner is Longport’s only breakfast/brunch place. On the walls are vintage photographs from Longport’s founding, which is cute, as are all the grandparents taking little kids out for pancakes. For all the faux-Pleasantville diner atmosphere, though, the food is pretty blah. Portions are bountiful(one omelette feeds two easily), but why would you want that much boring food? Still, if you have kids or houseguests, there are worse ways to do brunch, especially if you get an outdoor table on a sunny day.
