Nice place food ok to good. A bit expensive for what it is. Beware of the specials menu prices are ridiculous. After all who ever has the guts to ask the price when it’s not listed… owner very nice.

Love this place. Food atmosphere and servers are are amazing. My new favorite at the beach. The drink menu is fun. I ordered the salad with grilled peaches nice and light for the summer followed by the tuna and for dessert we had the pound cake with fresh berries. All to die for. I highly recommend Catch.

You have to be weary of a restaurant that has everything on the menu–«jack of all trades, master of none». This was certainly the case at Catch. I just wish I didn’t have to pay a steep bill at the end of the meal. Our evening started with a glass of wine, which was adorably paired with a slice of cheese on the side. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our meal. As an appetizer, we had crab and lobster pizza. The sauce tasted like they dumped it out of a can of tomato purée and it didn’t have one piece of lobster. The waitress pushed the veal on us and as a result my husband and friend both ordered it. Before the veal came, my husband asked for a fork– a server literally threw it at him. Like everything else that we had, the veal was mediocre at best, and when we got the bill we were SHOCKED to see that they charged $ 54 per veal dish! We will NEVER return! Save your money and go somewhere else!

So restaurants at the shore are just a totally different animal. I’m rarely blown away but the food and always shocked by the pricing. That being said and keeping all of that in mind, Catch is just not living up to even my shore restaurant standards. On a positive note, my go to is always the«omg» salad. It’s a grilled romaine caesar salad loaded with seafood. It’s always delicious and I always love it! They also generally have some nice flatbreads, and appetizers. Sadly, other than that, my experiences have been so mixed. Some are good but never better than good and unfortunately my last experience was down right bad. My husband and I both took a bite from our red snapper and it was inedible. Because we were with a group having a great time and were pretty full already at that point, we lived with it but were still disappointed as you can imagine. To sum up, sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s not. It is always fun though, the cocktails are always flowing and you can always have a dance party in the bathroom the music is that hopping! lol

Pretty place, good food. Upscale but very comfortable. I usually order one of the daily fish specials and have never been disappointed.

I’ve had dinner here twice in the past month and while I want to say I love this place, my second experience which was last Thursday, wasn’t the best for the $ paid. I’m hesitant about making a great recommendation. The positives – I love the décor and general concept. It reminds me of being in Miami. When the DJ kicks it up a notch later in the night and it becomes a night club, it gets cheesy! We had an 8:15 reservation and had to wait 35 minutes after the fact. We weren’t interested in having a drink at the bar – just a nice dinner. The service wasn’t good. Our server was overly attentive in the beginning – annoyingly so – then once we had our food she disappeared and it took longer than necessary to get our check. The OMG salad which I had the previous time is such a great concept – just don’t drown it in caesar salad dressing. I almost choked it was so potent. Also, the octopus appetizer was overdone. It’s a bit on the pricey side. Not sure I’ll be rushing back.

Don’t make a reservation at Catch on open table unless there is zero percent chance you will need to cancel, even a death in the family. We had an emergency and had to cancel and they are attempting to charge us $ 120 pursuant to the«terms and conditions» set forth on their open table page. The funny thing is there are no terms and conditions listed. Will never attempt to go here again. Can you say class action lawsuit?

Service makes or breaks the experience as a whole. Food was good, nothing out of this world though. Bartenders were friendly and attentive while we sat at the bar. We had reservation for 7:30p, then we were not seated until 8p. It was well after 8:30p before we were able to place our order and by 9p we were still wondering where our entrees were. The whole time we sat at the table we were never asked once if we would like additional drinks from the bar and had to chase down a bus boy to get water. Not to mention this is certainly a venue for an older crowd. We did not feel welcome. We will not go back.

Definitely the worst service you can imagine. My suggestion — keep attention to your check. Our wine magically got 40% more expensive, appetizers price end up being different($ 3 more). When«mistakes» was pointed out our waitress played like it’s no big deal business as usual. Bottom line avoid it, you can go to Tomatoes instead.

Really great happy hour. Drinks were delicious with fresh fruit. All food was very fresh and filling. Décor was fun and modern. Recommend the lobster Mac and cheese. Yum!

This was a difficult rating to give. The food was delicious but the staff and environment was the highest concentration of pretentiousness that I have ever encountered. Atmosphere: As soon as I walked in the front door, the young lady at the podium just glared at me and I felt like I wasn’t welcomed. She just stared at me and I had to ask if I needed to sit at the bar because I was dining alone. She responded that she thought that there was a seat and didn’t even walk me over. Upon sitting down, the bartender handed me a special drink menu and walked away. No water was given, no questions asked. I had to flag down another staff member to get the full menu. The entire meal, no one filled my cup or even asked if I wanted another drink. Food: I had a shrimp and crab coctail and everything was super fresh and delicious. Then I ordered the lobster grilled cheese but the lobster mac and cheese came. I am not one to return food so I ate it anyway. Absolutely no complaints. Drink: I had a nice glass of sauvignon blanc and it came with a little piece of cheese. The cheese didn’t really complement the wine, but they were both good individually. I will most likely not dine here again. If anything, I may order to go as the food was good. But I would rather go somewhere else where I was made to feel welcome and that I was not bothering the staff.

Excellent dinner tonight. The food was awesome and everyone working there were at the top of their game. The owners, Joey and his wife Chastity are great hosts too.

We went to dinner, 2 of us, for dinner. Décor was nice, turquoise and white with modern chandeliers. The waitresses are all in tangerine dresses. It was very loud and it was difficult to hear the specials. As we made our final selections a waitress came over and said oh by the way we are out of short ribs. Well, that just screwed up my dinner! It’s only 7:15, how do you run out of short ribs so early which is a regular menu item, not a special? whatever, I went with the special filet and crab. She mentioned a mushroom sauce, which I told her I didn’t want. It came with mashed potatoes and I asked for a noncarb instead i.e.: a vegetable. She said there are no substitutions. I joked about an allergy and she said«frankly, no». Um, OK… I ordered the Brussel sprouts anyway. I’ll get to how it was in a sec. No bread came to the table so we asked and they forgot to bring us the crisps and malt vinegar. YUM. My husband got the octopus appetizer. It was quite tasty. So our dinner came, rare tuna with the Ventnor sauce plus mine(see above). So the filet came plain and then they bring the mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes(um didn’t I just say I didn’t want them??). I just sat there. The chef happened to be out on the floor he saw my face and asked what can he do. I said where is the crab? He said, in the mushroom sauce. I smiled and said, I asked for no mushrooms. He was so accommodating and took it away and make the best crab in a I don’t know yummy sauce. He was so nice about the whole thing and even checked in to see how I liked them. The brussel sprouts were a bit sweet for me, but good enough. The steak was also very nice. We didn’t get dessert. So all in all the food was tasty, the service was– — - it depends on who… waitress«meh», chef, great!

I have been going down the shore, specifically Margate, for all 24 summers of my life. I think there are a bunch of great spots in Margate for dinner, namely Tomatoes and Steve & Cookies. However, there is a certain excitement that comes from a restaurant in Atlantic City that those in Margate and surrounding areas just don’t have. Catch made me feel like I took the 20 minute drive to AC, but without the added hassle. The space is great… really bright and fun, makes you feel like you’re on vacation. For drinks I had the champagne with frozen raspberries, delicious. The restaurant is seafood-centric, which I could not have been more excited about, as shellfish are my absolute fav. My dad tends to over order for family dinners, and I wasn’t complaining. To start we got the Turf Flatbread, the Lobster Mac and Cheese, and the Lamb Chops. Everything was great. I had the Catch Wedge Salad and the Herb Crusted Scallops over lobster arborio rice, with truffle cream sauce. They were humongous and fresh, but they were a bit undercooked. Overall, it was a great meal and we got to stay close to home to boot.

I can’t say that I’d recommend, honestly. Friendly staff, decent service, but the food, wine and cocktails are very over priced for the quality. I’m really grateful they are trying for a higher end experience and want to reward them for that, but can’t say they achieved it, sadly. Let’s hope they get better.

Well this was a nice surprise. I visit the shore occasionally and am not typically blown away by the food I’ve had at local non-chains. But Catch 2401 was a nice departure, in both style and flavor. First of all, the place is bizarre inside, with so much shiny white plastic I felt like I was in a Kubrick movie. But it works, it puts you in a totally different mindset than you were in on the street, it cleans your visual palette. The first thing to arrive on the table(in lieu of bread) was a basket of hand-cut, fresh-cooked, still-hot potato chips heavily seasoned with Old Bay. Fantastic. Some crispy, some floppy, some right in between, all incredibly delicious. What a great start, and unexpectedly casual and playful for such a hyper-stylized room. We had the«surf» flatbread of the day, and while I can’t recall what was on it besides scallops and a reduced balsamic, I can recall devouring it. The«OMG» grilled romaine Caesar salad followed, and because it’s massive they very nicely separated it into four dishes before serving it. Totally delicious, with enormous shrimp and lots of crab meat. The special that day was softshell crab, with two preparations available. I wasn’t in love with either, but that was less the fault of the restaurant than the fault of me not knowing what kind of sauce was being described. The crabs themselves were tasty(though not as big and juicy as I hoped). In retrospect I wish I’d tried something from their standard menu, but there’s always next time. On the side we ordered the crispy brussel sprouts. This is a misleading name, given that they are *not in any way crispy.* They are, in fact, served in a pot with sauce all over them. This was, at first, disappointing. But that sauce turned out to be AMAZING. Sweet and delicious, I couldn’t stop eating it. So… get these, despite the name.
