Forget this shop for repairs. They ran up a big pro forma repair list for $ 235, which didn’t even address what I asked for a quote on. Frustrated, I ordered the parts online and did the work myself. Solved the problem. Nothing on their $ 235 invoice would have solved the problem and I still would have to have my bottom bracket replaced.
Repair advise can be readily found online (videos too on You Tube). You can buy better parts and cheaper by shopping online. This shop just wanted to waste my money. I’m convinced they don’t know what they are doing.
The owner claimed the pedals were worn and making the noise I described. He wanted to replace the pedals. I did have a slight click in one pedal. I squirted some teflon grease in bearing race, that I had bought online. The «clicking» is now gone.
