Morenitas Tacos

Wow. This was THE WORST Mexican food I have ever had. Asked for shredded beef. Got steak. Sent burrito back and was given another one that was also terrible. I cant even go into it but the person working there did not care AT ALL and offered me a box for the burrito I didnt like… HUH? So confused. Never again.

Chicken tacos were rubbery. They had a nice salsa bar. The place was empty. We won’t be going back but it was fun to try a new place.

For $ 5 you can score 3 tacos with rice and beans at this joint in a strip mall. You order at the counter and grab a seat in the enormous seating area. The salsa bar is legit with 3 or 4 different types of salsa and all the other good Mexican fixings (charred jalepenos, onion doused in lime, etc.).
The highlight may actually be the chicken taco, so tender and moist.
Wife liked the clean bathrooms. Bathroom could have dookie everywhere when the tacos are this good IMO.

What a find! My family and I are passing thru Kelso on our vacation. Since we had a late lunch in Portland, we didn’t want a big fancy sit-​down restaurant, and decided on this place. We got tacos and burritos and everything was very tasty! My daughter especially loved their rice! It’s not a fancy place; you order at the counter and find your own table. Once you get your food, you can take it to the salsa bar to put whatever condiments you want. Definitely a must try if you are into authentic Mexican food!

I have stopped by here twice now while my daughter is across the street at dance class. Always clean and the service is prompt. Food is fresh and hot. I feel this is a hidden treasure that more should come and sample. Prices are very reasonable! Menu isn’t huge which is great! I will be a repeat customer for sure!

The place was completely empty when I walked in during lunch time on a weekday. I was greeted right away and the employee who took my order was very friendly and helpful. I decided on the taco combo (three chicken tacos, beans, and rice) to-​go.
While waiting for my order I gathered some toppings from the salsa bar. They had multiple salsas, limes, radishes, and cilantro. All of these were very fresh. The salsa tasted delicious.
The employee asked if I wanted a water while I was waiting… so nice! Even though my food was ready within ten minutes, the employee apologized for it taking so long, explaining that they had to make the tortillas. Mmm… homemade tortillas!
The tacos were pretty good… and even better with the fresh salsa and toppings. The chicken could have used some more grill and seasoning, but all together they were delicious. I would like to try the beef ones next time. The rice was very good and the beans were decent. All in all it was a good lunch and I very much appreciated the friendly service.

The food here is a incredible! I had never tried a homemade tortilla as good as the one I had here. the salsa is also homemade and excellent. I will definitely come back!

Great place to get authentic Mexican food, much like great taquerias food carts, but with the added bonus of a clean restaurant with inside seating. Authentic street tacos are only $ 1.75 each. Burritos and chimichangas are HUGE and have your choice of meat, rice, beans, onion and cilantro in them. It is obvious that they use all fresh ingredients and they cook your food to order so it is always good. I love the salsa bar with different types of salsa, pick de gallo, lime and cilantro available. They also offer horchata, which is not something you find everywhere. Very reasonable prices, generous portions and fresh, delicious food!

I will admit upfront that I’m not a huge fan of this restaurant. I prefer more cheese in my meals. However, with that said I eat here quite a bit because my family loves it. Both the vegetarian and meat eaters really enjoy a variety of food that they serve here.
This isn’t Azteca where you get lots of cheap refried beans and American-​style Mexican food. This is closer to the fantastic taco truck foods you can get with a more authentic Mexican style. If you’re looking for Mexican food that isn’t just like every other Mexican restaurant in town check out this place.

My wife and I went there for dinner on 7÷14÷13. The food was just fine as it had been the time before; however, the young woman and man who took our order began laughing uncontrollably at something (us?). Sorry, we won’t be back. No matter how decent the food, I won’t pay money to be laughed at by anyone.

I have been looking for a Mexican restaurant that not only serves good Mexican food, but something other than the normal Carne Asada, and Pollo, this is the place. I found a taqueria that serves lengua (tongue) and tripas (guts) two things I have been wanting to eat since I was younger and it feel good to finally find things I like eat in town.
For me the food is authentic and delicious almost like ordering from a taco truck which for me is some of the best tacos you can get.
I am looking forward to visiting this place more and more.

Good, simple food and friendly service

Great taqueria! Great food at great prices. The tacos and tortas are awesome! They serve a perfect chorizo, bacon, hashbrown and egg burrito on Saturday mornings. If you are looking for Taco Bell go elsewhere. If you need the authentic taqueria experience you found the right place!

Been looking for this taste since moving to the area.
We stopped in for lunch yesterday. Had the al pastor, pollo, and asada tacos along with rice, beans, and horchata. All were great.
Portions could be a bit more generous but not really complaining.
Don’t go if you’re looking for great décor, though.
