We love the atmosphere of Cracker Barrel! That country, home-cooked meal kind of feeling! My girls love to look in the gift shop area! I ordered the salmon patties, green beans and hash brown casserole and my girls got fried chicken and green beans. Everything tasted good except for the casserole. It was all hard on top and not much flavor. Our waitresses did an excellent job! I will definitely return here again :)

I stopped at Cracker Barrel on my way from Shreveport back to Dallas. I ordered the Grandpa breakfast which came with Biscuits and gravy also Grits I chose egg whites and fried apples to go with the Chicken fried Chicken. And Black coffee Over all solid breakfast nothing fancy. This place maybe kinda bland to some people but If you know your way around a salt and pepper shaker and apply a little cheese and butter you’ll be good to go. And the prices are reasonable. Also, the service was very efficient and friendly.

Love this restaurant and old country store. You have to try their cheesy hash browns for breakfast, such a nice change from standard hash browns. They have a very efficient staff and quick service!

I couldn’t wait to eat here! I always loved Cracker Barrel and we finally got one! My first visit was my last. Sad but true the food tasted like tv dinners. Fast cheap food. The one around Tyler has excellent food. What happened to ours?

It seems like every time I have eaten here the food keeps on getting worse & worse. Everything was very bland and had no taste whatsoever. I ordered French toast & it was very ‘heavy’ and plain. The grits had no taste & very watery. I also ordered scrambled eggs and they came out looking like a omelet(not scrambled at all) On a good note; out waitress was very nice and accommodating. Food came out quick and always had our drinks full. Not pleased with the food so we will not be back again.

I found my service friendly but lacking. She either straight up forgot about something or would flat out make mistakes. The food is palatable and they truly seem to want you to have a good dining experience, but much improvement needed.

JG score of 5⁄10(+2 for food, +1 for atmosphere, 0 for price, +1 for Diet Dr Pepper, 0 for service and +1 for we would return) The food is good here for a franchise but none stands out as much as some mom and pop places… but good nonetheless. We chose the Old Timer breakfast today with the eggs and hash browns, biscuits and gravy, grits, and sausage and bacon. All of it was very good but none of it knocked out socks off… especially the biscuits and gravy= could be much better. We finished it off with Coke cake. This was good. We did not taste any Coke taste to it which is why we thought it was called that and our waitress did not know either. We were also not interested enough to look it up either. All the food today was good but not standout. The atmosphere is typical Cracker Barrel. The store out front is always a plus with all the old candy and such. Everything hanging inside is neat to look at and also the fireplace and those peg games. The only negative is that it can be too loud and crowded and noisy sometimes to appreciate. The price for each of us with a breakfast and tea and cake was $ 18 and this without a tip yet. They do have Diet Dr Pepper. The service was okay. They seem to have too much to do. We will be back sometime. I think everyone finds their way back to Cracker Barrel.

What you expect from Cracker Barrel — good food and good service. I love the chicken and dumplings and the big breakfast platters. Orange cream soda is always good too. Gift shop always has some great stuff.

I hadn’t visited a Cracker Barrel in a year and my previous experience was a bit depressing, so I decided to give them a shot at redeeming themselves while driving home from Florida. I’ve been going to CB since I was a kid, and truly loved them for years, but it seems that in the past five years or so(along with many other«classic» chains) their quality has dropped off sharply. First annoyance was mostly my fault… I assumed that the small, unmarked driveway that I saw too late to turn in to was not the only entrance. It was. I circled through the Holiday Inn parking lot, looking for another with no luck, then ended up on a small barely-paved road behind the restaurant. There was a dirt path leading to the parking lot, but I decided not to use it. I continued around until I met up with the access road once again and made it into the parking lot. Once inside, I wasn’t surprised to find the little gift shop that graces all(to my knowledge) CBs in the country. Not much has changed there. I immediately noticed a line at the hostess’ desk. After a few moments, someone arrived to seat the couple in front of me. I waited… and waited… and finally, a harried-looking manager showed up and said that someone would be with us in a moment. Happily, the hostess was right behind him and took me to be seated. Unfortunately, a conversation involving a coworker seemed to be more important than I(a mere customer) was, so(rather embarrassingly) I was forced to stop behind the hostess while she and the other employee chatted, until the manager scooted past and chastised both of them for making me wait. I was seated moments later at an acceptable table. Unfortunately, several minutes later, I hadn’t even had my drink order taken, not even by the group of waitresses standing around the kitchen entrance, laughing and talking amongst themselves. I caught snippets of conversation that indicated something had happened with another employee, possibly her leaving without warning. I’m assuming such an event is legitimately usable as an excuse to ignore customers until they leave, which I did shortly after. Halfway back to the gift shop, a waitress rushed up to me saying«Help is on the way!». I shrugged and replied«That’s alright» while thinking inwardly«I know you guys are busy, don’t mind me». I arrived home two hours later with a delightful Sonic burger. Final word: I’m sure there are still good Cracker Barrel stores in this country. This is not one of them. Stay away.

typical cracker barrel. southern style country cookin’. most items have lots of carbs, fat, sugar and salt; making them quite tasty, but they have a big menu with a number of more healthy alternatives. the staff at this location are very friendly. if you are at the holiday inn expess nextdoor this is basically the only dining option not requiring driving, i ate here a few times while in town for work for that reason. the scheme of having the huge gift shop out front full of random cutesy country style knick-knacks which one must walk through to enter the restaurant is brilliant.

I had a Rueben Sandwich and Fries. The sandwich was great, the fries had no salt. If fries aren’t salted immediately after being fried they taste like kindling. This place was spotless. I love Cracker Barrels on road trips because you can“rent” books on CD. You buy the CD and can return it to any CB for about $ 5 less than what you paid. I «read» most of the Harry Potter books on Road Trips!

Today was my third overall experience at Cracker Barrel and second at this particular one. I will just get straight to the point and say the food is not good TOME. I don’t think it is served to LOOK appetizing as far a plating & presentation goes and I definitely don’t think it taste any better. The 1st time I went I ordered breakfast(french toast, eggs & bacon). I know for a fact I could have made everything on the plate much better. It was just… blah. The 2nd time(today) I had the chicken fried chicken, hashbrown casserole, mac n cheese, & mixed veggies(you get 3 sides). The gravy on the chicken is HORRIBLE. It’s lumpy, thick, stiff and just has an odd taste TOME. The hashbrown casserole & mac n cheese were OK but both were basically lacking in something. My mixed veggies came to the table with a hair in them… like literally in them not on top but IN. Needless to say I saw it immediately as the server sat it down and she took it back and brought another. Long story short I don’t see myself ever going back here. I’d rather go to Cheddars or Cotton Patch and get the same thing for the same price with better taste and presentation. One thing I can say is the store area has some nice things and I love the candles, although it is overcrowded and packed to the max. SORRYTOTHOSETHATDISAGREE, THISISJUSTMYOPINIONANDMYEXPERIENCE. Thanks for reading.

This location has only been open for about 1 month. This may account for the bad first review. Our experience was great. Seated quickly and great service. My son ordered from the dinner menu and my wife and I ordered breakfast. Eggs were great. Grits cooked well. Biscuits were warm and fresh. Coffee was fresh and hot. The food was all high quality and fresh despite us going in at the end of their day. I have been to many Cracker Barrel locations including the Lebanon, TN location. This one is very good. Now, can the the quality can be maintained?

I love Cracker Barrel and our experience at this one was good. There was no wait, we received fast and friendly service and the food was great! Anywhere that I can get breakfast for dinner is great in my book!

If I could give it zero stars I would. 15 minute wait time for a table for three, wasn’t bad… we perused the gift shop area & enjoyed ourselves. Hostess walked us through a maze of tables then pointed to a free one because she couldn’t really get to it. How am I supposed to get to it if you can’t? They had people stacked in there like cattle at a feed lot! Sitting at our table I came to understand why the cops would be called there often for domestic disputes… you can hear every word that’s said in a 3 table radius! Sweet tea was alright and corn muffins & biscuits were served… little did we know that before the night was over they world literally be the ONLY delicious thing served. My daughter ordered pancakes, the husband ordered roast beef, and I ordered chicken fried chicken. The pancakes were delicious and plated well. Roast beef left a lot to be desired… it was a very small serving and looked more like a frozen Banquet meal than a $ 10 dinner plate. The chicken fried chicken was awful, there’s no nice way to put it. To achieve the same culinary experience I could have stayed home, over cooked a freezer burnt chicken patty & ultimately saved myself $ 9.98. The mashed potatoes & steak fries were not to the caliber one would expect from a Cracker Barrel but we’re edible. Since we could hear every conversation within a 20 foot radius it was very obvious that the table next to us had experienced some severe wait staff and food quality issues. The manager talked to them for quite a while but still didn’t end up comp-ing them anything & they left very upset! We didn’t address any of the food quality issues with our waitress because we didn’t feel like our opinion would be valued or heeded. We will not return to this establishment & do not recommend it.
