Salsarita’s

Quick and tasty. Sure it’s just burritos and tacos, but sometimes that’s all you want. We like it much better than Chipotle’s.

Not a fan. I wanted to like this place cuz I work right down the road. First experience was not good. The burrito I got was terrible. Over priced for a crappy burrito

I used to think Unilocal was useless. Then I checked a new restaurant and the reviews were right in point. So now I contribute what I can.
Salsaritas is alot like Chipotle, if you haven’t been. However, in Longview, Chipotle has a bad location and is simply too small.
Salsaritas is right across from Sams and should be full all the time. I think most people don’t try it because they’ve never heard of it. I hadn’t when I tried it the first time on a recommendation from a friend.
The food here is fresh and good. I’d say it is a little pricey but you are paying for quality ingredients.
The only problems are that the restaurant is almost always a little dirty despite employees seeming to not be busy, and the food plating is inconsistent. Sometimes you get a great taco or burrito. Sometimes they are skimpy.
On the whole, a good place to eat but it varies from visit to visit.
UPDATE 4÷22÷15: About a month after my first review I have been back three times. The manager must read these reviews because each of the three last visits all of my concerns have been fixed. They have more staff and there is a floater on the floor who greets everyone, checks on them, and keeps the place neat. The food preparation has been very consistent, and they always keep the bins stocked (something that was an issue before but I failed to mention). The young people working there are friendly and upbeat. VERY NICE PLACE TO GO GET A QUICK BITE TO EAT.
ALSO ADD: My wife and I try to eat vegetarian, for the most part. A lot of places, when you take a regular meal and turn it vegetarian, the result is ridiculous. Subway for example. You get a veggie sandwich and they act like the spinach leaves are more expensive than meat. Not so at Salsaritas. In the first section they load you up with grilled veggies and/​or rice, and in the second section the cold vegetables, guac, etc. are all there. Very good. We get a taco plate (chips and hot sauce, two veggie tacos and a drink) and it weighs almost three pounds.
FINALLY ADD: Be sure to get the Salsaritas loyalty card. We eat free about every fifth time, and it is always a surprise (we don’t track it).

Great food. Great prices. Tacos, burritos, nachos and more. You go through line and choose your meat, cheeae and veggies. Highly recommend!

Went in to try it out had a cafeteria style set up self-​service drinks and silverware order the taco combo was overpriced and not told about the extra charges would have been better if I had gone to Taco Bell not the best Mexican food in town more Tex Mex than Mexican

Went to this place about 2 weeks ago for lunch and totally forgot about writing a review. The special on said day was the small burrito which is what I got. I had it dressed with shrimp, Pico de Gallo, cheese, guacamole, Mexican rice, and lettuce. It was pretty good and filling. I like the fact that you can create your own dish while watching them prepare it. I give only 3 stars because it was just good, nothing special, no place I’d rush to go back to often, but it wasn’t bad at all.

Daily specials — Today’s (Thursday) was a small burrito for $ 5.
Food was good. Line moved quickly. Friendly service.
Few Longview restaurants have patios, so that’s nice to have.
Get a loyalty/​reward card.

The definition of Tex-​Mex is this place.
Main items are all tortilla based (taco, burrito, quesadilla etc) yet these tortillas taste just like Mission tortillas straight from the store.
Kids serving you «very very» carefully with pre measured spoons.
I would agree everything seems very fresh, this should be every good restaurants first requirement. It’s very new so everything is very clean.
But as far as something new for Longview — this is just another texmex.
So if you like Tex-​next this is definitely a place to try, if your looking for new, authentic save your money.
