Very happy with this clean, cute place. The chicken parm was fresh and nicely seasoned with basil pesto. Quick lunch service and good prices.

I went there for the first time last night. I do not have one complaint about this place. The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely amazing. It is now on my favorites list and will be a restaurant that I visit regularly.

This is a nice little place out of the mainstream. Been here for several years and we never heard about it. JG score from us today of(+2 for the food, 0 for the atmosphere, +1 for the price, 0 for no Diet Dr Pepper, + 1 for super owner service and +2 for we could easily return here) The food today was very good. We started with the bread and homemade red sauce to dip it in and it was nice. We moved them to an appetizer, the Fried Gnocchi, which is hard enough to spell much less to say but it is fried potato dumplings you dip into red sauce=we never had these before and they were great. Our wait took a minute so the friendly owner brought us out some complimentary shredded pork with chipotle aioli and red onion on toasted bread… very tender and tasty. Our entrees were also both delicious being the Alfredo and the Tuscan Mac-N-Cheese that we got each with added meatballs… very good! The whole meal was very good… very good. The atmosphere is okay. The retro chairs were cool. The place is small. It is fine. You can eat here for $ 15. No Diet Dr Pepper only Diet Coke. The owner was top notch, friendly and accommodating, talkative and knowledgable. We would go back here anytime! Next time is the Country Lasagna and the Shredded Pork Sandwich.

I’ve been here three times now and feel qualified to offer a review. The verdict — really good food and outstanding service. I’ve tried three different entrees. First, the Country Lasagna. I have to say it’s not my favorite. Doesn’t mean it’s bad, I just don’t particularly care for it. Many of my friends have had it and rave about it. Then I had the Pesto pasta. This is amazingly good. This will probably be my go to dish going forward. I had the Alfredo with diced chicken last night and it was excellent. All of the portions are HUGE. The bread and dipping sauce is great. I’ve had the bruschetta and it is very good as well. The service is as good as you could ask for. One of the owners, Rudy, is on the floor and working the tables. He is always on top of things. Thorough but not intrusive. Watching a guy like Rudy and his staff work at this place make the Tuscan Pig a place you actively root for. The restaurant business is tough and has a very high failure rate. I’m not only pulling for them to make it, I want to actively eat there as often as I can and tell my friends about it. The location is sketchy. Can’t get around that. The ambience is just maybe a hair too bright and nothing about the décor suggests Intimate dining. But the food and the overwhelming family vibe overcomes all that. Please give the Tuscan Pig your business. These are the kind of places that deserve to thrive. Smiley face.

3.5 stars. Fresh food, served hot. I had the chicken parm sandwich and my husband bad the meatball sandwich. Both were quite tasty, though somewhat lacked in seasoning. We also had the fried gnocchi which was kind of bland. The restaurant overall was clean, spacious, and you can see they take pride in their establishment and food. I’m glad we popped in.

Dined in tonight with our 7 year old daughter. We ordered the Tuscan Pork Bruschetta to start with & drank their cucumber infused water. We were served warm & delicious bread in a terracotta pot with a devine sauce prior to our appetizer. The Bruschetta come out quickly & was probably my favorite part of the whole meal. Not too heavy but not light, not greasy but very full flavored. Then I ordered the Caprese Salad & Penne in Pink Cream sauce, my husband ordered the Chicken Parm Sandwich & our daughter ordered Corkscrew pasta in Alfredo. We noticed the ambiance was lacking due to the proximity of other patrons. A larger dining area would be preferred but only slightly took away from the dining experience. Our food was brought out in a timely fashion but my Caprese Salad was not with it all. I hardly noticed until we got the bill & realized that it had never been brought out. The waitress apologized & removed it from our bill. The chicken parm sandwich was much larger than we had expected … all of the entrées were. The pink sauce was splendidly delicious! I was a little surprised to find bacon & green peas in the alfredo, the alfredo itself was quite unremarkable. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. I was taken aback by this expecting it to rock my world. We had the tiramisu in a chocolate bowl for dessert. It was fluffy & has a less wet mouth feel, very well balanced in flavor with no overpowering tones which is refreshing. We will return! Very affordable & although the dining room seemed understaffed the quality of food did not suffer; only delayed wait times & slight inattention to food having never come out.

My husband has been raving about this restaurant. I finally got a chance to sample it for myself, and I am so glad I did! I got the Country Lasagna which was absolutely spectacular! They have very generous portion sizes, so I was able to enjoy my lasagna the next day as well. We did order an appetizer that had an open-faced sample of the Caprese sandwich, the shredded pork sandwich and the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich. Each of these were wonderful. I’m hard pressed to pick a favorite but my husband liked the shredded pork best. My son had the Tuscan Mac & Cheese which he begrudging let me taste and it was also excellent. Although we were all stuffed after our meals, we had to try the two desserts offered — homemade in house Tiramisu and an espresso soaked brownie with vanilla gelato — again impossible to pick a favorite! The service was wonderful — very friendly! You simply can’t miss this treat!!!

Had fantastic service, delicious food. It was great from start to finish. We ordered water, and the waitress said, «is cucumber infused water okay?» Of course! It’s BYOB. The bread is great and ours was warm. Try the country lasagna or chicken lasagna — huge portions! The pork sandwich is great too! We had dessert — the tiramisu, based on people’s recommendations on Unilocal. It comes in an edible chocolate bowl. So wonderful!

So we found this place at the local Longview farmers market and he let us try some of his Tiramisu. Being a true Tiramisu lover, I have had the good, the bad and the ugly– this stuff was DIVINE! So we decided to take home one of his 2lb Take&Bake Country Lasagnas. Oh my goodness was it good! There is no restaurant yet but they will deliver with a $ 15 minimum order, or you can pick up freshly baked items. Also, you can Take&Bake his 2lb lasagna at home– 2 versions — country(pork) or chicken. These are lick your lips tasty! Tonight we had the Tuscan Mac-n-cheese and let me say– that stuff is rather addictive! Also, the portions are incredible and we will be having leftovers this weekend. Give them a try!
