Im soooo excited!!! i moved here two years ago and was going through awful hair experiences/​stylists. i found Jordan yesterday and she did a perfect job! Its hard to find someone that can do a great job at all three: cut, color and style and she nailed it. Not to mention she’s super awesome and down to earth so I couldn’t help but talk to her, even through my laryngitis.

I normally don’t write reviews on Unilocal,but this one is special to me. My mom has had cancer for 3+ years and started a new chemo last week. She will lose all her hair soon. To deal with the transition the doctors recommend cutting it short. I immediately thought of Jordan and Minx. I called Jordan (and emotionally) explained the situation. She got us in asap and took care of my mom with such kindness and professionalism! Thanks Jordan!!!

Not only does Jordan do an amazing job on my hair but Jen gave me not only the most amazing facial but the best and most professional appointment I have ever had she is so sweet and really enjoys her job as well as takes it seriously. There is not one thing that I could complain about with either one of them. When Jordan washes your hair she massages your scalp for days. It feels so amazing that I might just start going to get my hair washed by her. Jen gives you a full on shoulder and arm along with a neck rub down while your mask sits on your face. She also does waxing as well. This place has everything you need and it’s so rustic and beautiful inside. I highly recommend this place.

This shout out goes to Kabra! To be honest I’m very picky when it comes to my hair. I’ve been been through a several people since I have moved to the Sacramento area, but now I don’t have to search anymore. After only a couple visits I basically now just let Kabra do whatever she thinks will look great on me AND every time I LOVE LOVE it! It awesome because she changes my color and cut to go with the season. Every time I go to see her I feel like I have her full attention and she just wants to make sure I look great and walk away feeling beautiful.
Not only does Kabra got the magical ways with hair, she is so easy to talk to. Super easy going and a great sense of humor. Kabra makes me excited to get my hair done and not dread getting my hair cut, like I have in the past. So, if you are looking for a change in hairstylist I would defiantly recommend you get an appointment with Kabra, you won’t be disappointed!

This review is for Kabra Moss. I learned of Kabra’s work on Instagram and instantly fell in love with the soft, natural yet trendy color treatments she has showcased. I was particularly drawn to her balayage work so I scheduled a color session with her.
Kabra far exceeded my expectations on ALL fronts! She was realistic with me about my color goals and explained how long it would take (likely two sessions, which was accurate). She was thoughtful in how she approached all elements of the session: color, toner, checking on lift, and more.
Kabra also cut my hair was was THE BEST cut I’ve ever had. She thinned the back/​ends a bit since there was far more hair than I could handle and found a style that suited my face and emphasized the color.
In terms of customer service, she is fantastic. Super responsive via text and email, quick to work with you and juggle appointments, and always making me feel super comfortable throughout the process!
I only gave Kabra four stars because of location. It’s a bit of a trek out since I live in Midtown, but I’m sure this location works great for many others.
I have absolutely no hesitations when it comes to recommending Kabra!

Oh my goodness… the cutest little salon nestled in the quiet little town of Loomis! You feel pampered the minute you walk in the door. Clean, friendly front desk and Kabra gave me the most beautiful cut & color! I will definitely be going back again and again. Thank you MINX and Kabra for making me feel AMAZING!

Made my husband wait a long time before even acknowledging him, after several failed tries to call on the phone with no answer — they did not have a masseuse and their website was wrong! Disappointed!

Kabra Moss has been doing my hair for years and I couldn’t be happier :) I’m not the most adventurous color client but she takes my «just make it brown again» and transforms the color into multi-​dimensional, rich, personalized brown just for me!
Her positive energy and warm demeanor adds to the long list of reasons I’ll continue to visit Minx and Kabra in particular!

Cassandra Macy is the BEST!
I had been looking for a hair dresser for awhile. I had a fellow Unilocaler recommend her and i am sure glad she did. The salon is in a very cute, old two story house in Loomis. It is very modern with cool stylist chairs and a nice waiting area. Everyone has always been very nice when i go.
Cassandra is very easy to talk to and makes me feel comfortable as if i have known her for years. I usually get my hair colored and trimmed every few months or so and I always leave happy.
My only complaint is that the parking lot does seem to get pretty crowded. There is parking in the front and back, but so far I have always found a spot since my appointments are usually first thing in the morning.

I love this salon! There is always a warm welcome when you walk in the door. I go to Jami, she does the best color and eyelashes. She has the best personality and is so easy to talk to. I couldn’t imagine me going anywhere else…

I have been having Sam do my hair for over 5 years and she is AMAZING! I have never walked out feeling less than great. My sister and mother have even gone to her because they loved what she could do with my hair. I have SLE which presents some hair challenges, she was the first I found who understand my challenges and helped me find looks that worked for me and satisfied my wants. I highly recommend her to everyone. She’s super sweet and does stellar work.

I followed my stylist here, and have found it to be a truly relaxing, enjoyable time away from my hectic schedule to take care of myself. Cassie is amazing she truly knows how to deal with my stubborn gray hair. I always walk away feeling completely satisfied and young again!

I have used Unilocal for years and this is my first 5 star. I have driven to Minx since it opened and can honesty say this salon delivers the best atmosphere, class, style and consistency of a big city salon. But its right here in Loomis!!!

I have brought both my sisters, my mom, and my mother in law and they all have very different styles. Every one of them LOVES Minx. Please do yourself (and us) a favor and go by for a color, cut, massage.

Cassandra Macy does my hair and i am happy every time i leave. She is a good listener, honest, and very skilled, as she still takes many classes to learn special techniques. I’d highly recommend her for any cut, color, or style, from the very unique (e.g. my hair is currently green and asymmetrical) to the very traditional (e.g. she is experienced in styling for weddings).

I love the Minx Salon. I am always greeted with a warm welcome and leave feeling fabulous. Megan is the best! She is great at cutting and coloring my hair! She knows exactly how to make my hair look amazing. I highly recommend this salon to everyone!

I love coming here and getting my hair done by Cassandra Macy. She’s amazing and lovely, I don’t mind waiting a few until it’s my appointment time because I come in a few minutes early. She’s amazing at what she does and loves to try new hair styles and colors. We started to do a new hair color/​style for me but unfortunately we can’t and have to stop that as someone at my job ruined that. I love that she gets to know her men and women that come to see her, she gets person with them and doesn’t mind anything. Everytime I walk in we leave our conversation off where we left off last visit which could be three months out. Great place and amazing lady

I called to make an appointment. She could not manage to book me. She got my number and said would call me back but she never did. So lame… They should use an online appointment system. Until then i will go to a different salon

Guys — if you want to be pampered — go see Lilija. She is Awesome! You get a cut, hot towel, face massage, and style all while you are enjoying your favorite adult beverage. You have a customer for life. Thanks Lilija!

I love this place. My particular lady is self employed and doesn’t schedule through the actual salon but all of the staff here are very pleasant and professional. I am always greeted with a smile and am offered a drink. The salon is absolutely adorable. Loomis is in no way convenient for me but it’s more than worth it to go out of my way for this wonderful establishment.

Minx Salon is amazing. My mother’s hair stylist was from LA and offered to do my hair initially. My mom told her the date and we were set. A month and a half before the wedding my mom mentioned wedding hair and she said that she had a camping trip to go to on the holiday weekend of my wedding and basically forgot she committed. Naturally, after that I could not trust her so a month before my wedding I was in need of a hair stylist I could trust. Yikes!
Minx Salon had good reviews on here so I decided to reach out. On my first phone conversation I knew Maddison and her team was «the one.» She asked me 15 more questions than my mom’s hair stylist did from asking the style of my wedding to whether I had hair pieces to requesting sending pictures. She was immediately on her game, showed passion and was very professional.
Her and her team were so easy to get a long with. One moment during the process I remember I was in the other room getting ready and I heard all my bridesmaids laughing and having an awesome time with Maddison and her team. They were all having so much fun talking about random topics and just genuinely having a good time. As a bride you couldn’t ask for much more :)
Maddison really knows her hair and can really peg down exactly what you are looking for. We didn’t do a trial or anything due to short time and I wasn’t even stressed about it one bit. I totally trusted her. The moment I saw my hair, I fell in love. It was perfect and exactly what I envisioned. One other thing, my friend has been a model and photographer for about 3 years so obviously she’s been around a ton of hair stylists. I remember looking at her face and she was in awe of their work and said she couldn’t believe how fast they whipped out such beautiful hair styles and that she’s never seen anyone work so fast and yet do such a beautiful job in the same time. No one wants to sit in the chair for a crazy long time so this was a huge bonus for us all!
She’s fabulous, her team’s fabulous, Minx Salon is fabulous. I moved out of the country immediately upon my wedding but if I still lived there i’d go to Minx Salon for all my beauty needs.
