I pickup food for me and my family here almost every week for the last few months. Its takeout chinese food– & its actually some of the best chinese food i’ve ever eaten. It’s definitely worth a try. I personally have never been disappointed here.

horrible. Lots of sugar in everything they cook. Sugar. Sugar. Really. Could not taste anything because of all the tsugar they add. Will not be back.

I stopped in for lunch one day with high expectations after reading the reviews but I will never return. I had the shrimp with mixed vegetables which was not bad but the «lemongrass soup» a total fraud! I assume they ran out of a key ingredient… Lemongrass maybe? The soup was oily as ever! It was like they dumped a bunch of oil in it and a ton of salt to try and mask the fact that there was no lemongrass. They could’ve just called me back and told me they ran out. I was pissed to say the least.

This is clearly a carry-​out or a hunker down and eat kind of place…
Quality of food, from my experience, is very good. Quantity is well above normal. Portion sizes are extremely generous.
I usually order the vegetable fried rice and also some of their chicken or vegetable dishes…
Service was fast and courteous.
My only complaint, if I must give one, is the parking lot tends to have a lot of trash on it. I attribute this to its proximity to the interstate and lots of thru travelers using nearby businesses.
This place is definitely on my short list of go-​to carry outs! Recommend checking them out!

This is by far one of the best Chinese food places in Lorton. The delivery is incredibly fast and the order is never wrong. I’ll continue to order here for as long as I live in this town.
The food is also really flavorful as well.
The best part is your can order everything online. This is helpful to those who hate having to make phone calls.

This place has horrible service. I was willing to overlook that aspect if the food was good but unfortunately for everyone it was very generic and bland. I had the food delivered and their driver never showed up. When I called to inquire about my purchase they said there is nothing they can do. I asked for a refund because I never got my food and they flat out refused then hung up on me.
I will never order from them again and I will never ever recommend them. if you really want Chinese food check out any other local Chinese restaurant because these guys suck dumplings!

Found this 10 mins into my meal when I felt a crunch. Loved this place but now they will not get my money anymore. All I got was «sorry» and not even a reimbursement. Smh
The food is good but it’s only a matter of time before YOU find something wrong with your food next. Avoid it now.

This is clearly not a 5 star restaurant, it’s Chinese takeout, but I give them 5 stars on service, good food, speed, and accuracy.
They are friendly, always get my order right, and the Thai food is delish!
You can’t go wrong with the Thai curry chicken or Pad Thai.

Gunston Wok has a Dieter’s Special section. Items in this section are steamed. No oil, salt, sugar, or MSG is used. All sauce is served on the side (Brown, Garlic, or White Light Sauce). No item on the entire menu is priced above $ 10.25. However, they require an order totaling a minimum of $ 12 for delivery. They also charge a $ 1.25 delivery fee. The food tastes good whether or not you choose a Dieter’s Special item. The portions are large as well. I usually have two meals from one order.

Not the best takeout chinese I have ever had but pretty darn close, and it is certainly the best in Lorton, in my opinion. I order from here about twice a month and it always does the trick.
The food portions are massive and it all tastes great. I especially love how they give you a ton of Lo Mein, usually enough for seconds, thirds, and maybe fourths! lol. Very good rice and good meat as well.
I think its in an average price range, the staff is very friendly, and they are usually pretty quick and efficient. It is easy to rack up the bill if you like to pig out like me and like to have a ton of leftovers for later.
This is my little takeout chinese place. Give it a shot and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I usually order online so I’ve never really dealt with the staff other than the delivery man, but they’re nice and I’ve never had any problems.
The food is pretty good as far as take-​out Chinese goes. It’s not overly greasy or too sweet, the rice is well-​cooked. Delivery times are pretty quick, too.

Pretty good food I think. Prices are decent. Staff is friendly. convenient for on the way home pick up.
They also deliver and we found the delivery to be pretty quick and accurate. The soups came a bit cold but we just popped them into the microwave before serving.

I remember when I came here back in highschool about 5 years ago and was not impressed with what I had, but that sure did change. This is the first time since HS that I decided to order from gunston wok and was pleasantly surprised. It seems like they really worked on changing their level of service. I ordered online and was able to put in comments for every thing I ordered. For one item there was an issue and the lady called me right away and got everything sorted out. They came in reasonable timing and the food was what I was expecting. I could have been a bit spicier, but I have quite a high tolerance for spice and they don’t know me that well.

Did they change owners? This was our designated Chinese spot for the nights we didn’t feel like cooking. But we ordered a few weeks ago and the food was horrible… also the sweet lady who always takes my order isn’t there anymore. Which makes me think they changed owners.

Ordered dinner last night for the first time. The food was good and the portion servings were very large. I had beef fried rice, and it was the best I ever had.

No stars… Ive been hesitant to order here since we first walked in to get a menu. 5 months later, we ordered spring rolls and an orange chicken combo. Nothing tasted fresh, and everything was overly greasy. The inside of the storefront speaks for itself. Would not order here again. The one over in the food lion plaza is 100% better.

Average Chinese food.

Not going to make this any more than it is: solid Chinese food in a flash. I had the tofu General Tso and it was good. Very thick sauce, which led me to believe it was prepackaged stuff. The vegetable spring rolls were huge and very hot. I loved them. Take-​out orders and completed quickly or you can sit at one of their four tables. It’s tiny and definitely best for take-​out or delivery. Eating in is pointless and probably better to sit on the curb outside. I like it here, don’t get me wrong… but it’s the Chinese food you can get from northern Canada to southern Australia. Same ol’, same ol’.

Good grief, I’ve been punishing myself by not ordering from here since I moved back to Lorton over a year ago. Ordered delivery today and the food was delicious! The delivery timing was awesome and the lady that took my order over the phone spoke perfect English AND SHE WAS FRIENDLY! I asked for my #19 and #23 lunch specials extra spicy with pork fried rice ($ 2 more for each entrée) and I have enough food for 4 – 5 meals. Thank you Gunston Wok for making my day!

Not your typical carryout locale.
Friendly service as you’re ordering and the capability to adjust the very generous two-​person menu (within reason). I’ve been there a few times now and each time I’ve gotten the two-​person menu and asked if we could make a few changes in regards to an entrée item or an appetizer. Both times, the staff was more than willing to accommodate our requests and had our food in time for us to stroll over to the 7 – 11, grab a few drinks, and head back for our delicious food.
For the price, quality, and quantities that you get, I would definitely recommend more people to try out this local gem.
